Stretchy? Yep. Net-like? Yep.
It is a fully-functioning net that stretches pretty far. You probably can't catch a fish with it but it will keep a helmet sized thing secured to your bike.

Things you could secure to your bike with this net include:
: A helmet (did it; it's big enough)
: A backpack (you betcha)
: A cake (in a box)
: A sixer (cans)
: A medium sized bowling trophy (rec league; not pro)

Things you probably can't:
: A child (dangerous)
: A handful of marbles (too small for holes)
: Water (will just run away)
: Another motorcycle (size/load)

Inexpensive and useful net? Why yes!
My bike doesn't have any sort of luggage attachments, so this net is very useful! I have used it once to tote some vintage clothing around. I do need to mention it doesn't look half bad just hanging out on the back too. Going camping soon and will make more use of it then.

I used this for a 1500 mile road trip and it never failed me... This is a must have item if you plan to tie down anything to the back of your seat!

Great product, just as described
I will have more to say after a year or two of using this product, but so far so good. It's pretty straight-forward, this product, and all I can say is that it seems to perform just as described. The quality seems good, the tension strong but not ridiculously strong. Also, I noticed that in another review I read on this product that a nitpick was that the end tips came off easily, so before using it, I took them off -- and it took a fair amount of energy to do so -- and applied a drop of superglue to the end of the rubber-coated metal and re-applied the rubber tips. I hope this does the trick. I like how the rubber tip/caps are white, it helps. So there you are.

I've had a number of mesh nets that suck, this isn't one of them. High quality and worth every penny.

Great product
This product is great. Can hold down my back pack so I don't have to ride all day with it and can hold an extra helmet as well.

Perfect size for smaller items
Great size for tying down a jacket or heavy sweater. Hook caps will eventually work their way off but nothing a little super glue didnt prevent.

Very sturdy and well made. Buy at least 2, is my suggestion because how easily you can interlock them and transport basically anything you want (within reason of course).

Super useful for strapping down a bag on longer trips, or that extra bag on a grocery run.

works well use it to hold gear on rear fender

Was super handy until it got stolen off the back of my bike. The white "pads" on the hook ends pop off pretty easy as well.

Looks like its small enough to fit under my seat. Hopefully will hold a few groceries on the back of the bike

I have a 2012 Yamaha FZ6R and it doesn't have much storage, but i wanted that genre of motorcycle. This cargo net really is appreciated when i want to bring another helmet for a pillion rider. The Yamaha FZ6R has a grab handle for the pillion rider and the hooks don't scratch the paint because i can hook to that handle.
Aaron V on Oct 11, 2014
If it does not fit in your pockets its not coming, but sometimes you need to carry a watermelon.
Matthew K on Oct 3, 2014
Looks like an easy way to strap down small loads on the pillion.

We have one on my husbands bike, they are great. Secure anything with it lunch boxes gym bags etc
Jeanne M on Jul 14, 2014
I need to secure my 2nd helmet. Ladies keep asking to ride but I never have a second helmet attached to the motorcycle.
Jason R on Jun 3, 2014
I was looking for some way to carry a second helmet and this was perfect. It fit my shoei qwest without a problem. The little rubber hook ends fell off, but that didn't bother me much.
