BT rocks! I have no idea why I listened to a parts dept person to sell me another brand of battery charger. Needless to say it did not charge my battery enough. I take my bike out to warm up when the winter weather permits. I barely got the bike turned over. Went straight to Revzilla and obtained the leader in battery chargers, Battery Tender. This is just my opinion, but I trust this source. Never again will I buy anything else. February 24, 2015
Excellent to keep my battery juiced up for the winter Small design but efficient. All cables you need. Good enough for a big twin and sport bikes. February 2, 2015
Simple to use and effective. I am not the most technically inclined but found this product very easy to use and it works just like it says it would. I have not charged a battery with it but like that I could if I needed to. January 21, 2015
Excellent product...now have one for each bike. I bought a Battery Tender for my Harley Lowrider in 2004. I use it from about November until I can ride again some time in April. I bought a second bike in 2009 and would switch the tender between bikes over the winter. I decided to get this second unit for my 2011 BMW R1200 GSA. You may hear that BMW's Canbus system won't allow the use of the Battery Tender, but I have not had any problems. I am also still using the original battery in my eleven year old Harley. Does what I bought it for very well! I'm not electrically smart I guess you could say, but this tender was very easy to set up on my bike. It also came with tenders that could be installed on the bike and left on for easy on and off charging. I got two for both my bike and my fathers. Pleased with my purchase. :) December 15, 2014
excellent tender This products is tops for functionality, performance, and value. It does exactly what it is suppose to do with no worry or fuss. A must have. December 8, 2014
Outstanding This one product have saved me money and frustration. I have gone through 2 batteries in my 2011 zx14. Having done some homework. I finally came across this battery charger and it worked perfectly. April 15, 2014
Simple, quick and easy to use. Dead battery on my R1200RT. Simply hooked up the cables, plugged into wall, and battery was fully juiced in a few hours. Leaving it plugged in the remainder of the Winter (snow is getting deeper in Montana in March!). March 3, 2014

Jarred B: It makes sense to buy this, it charges the battery then goes into a trickle charge to keep good for long winter storage (no need of a messing around on having to find the charger and trickle charge) and as a bonus it has a common Q.D. connector strait to the battery for easy access. I was skeptical when first purchased and I leave a seldom started cycle battery connected to it full time when we aren't riding. I have not replaced a battery in years now and previously 1 - 1 1/2 yr battery life. Buying another for an electric generator starter battery i ruined by letting it sit too long. Dec 21, 2013

joseph k mccammon v: Mark t Yes it will work.
I use this tender on all my 12volt battery's AGM and lead acid (motorcycles, Grove crane, trucks, cars) just plug it in and let it go to work. Connect it directly to the battery and it will not interfere with a CAN-bus electric system. The battery's never get hot unless they have bad cells. Motorcycle battery's take about 12 hours to charge and truck/crane battery's 24 hours on average. I do not use it for Lithium iron phosphate battery's.

Arturo R: Shouldn't be a problem since most if not all systems run 12v batteries. Best bet is to use the pig tail connection as it makes life easy. The pig tail on my bike (2012 Ducati 848) was already set up by my dealership so I didn't even need to use the one provided in the kit. Hope this helps. Oct 16, 2013

Enrico M asked: So I can just plug it, leave it and it wilk keep the battery charged at all tine without damaging it? Jul 2, 2015

Michael H: Yes. I have used this product for several years on various bikes and cars. It is not designed to jump-start cars or recharge dead batteries, but it will maintain charge very well. I had this on my 2013 Ducati Panagale over this past winter and it has worked well. I also have used it on cars in storage. You could take the battery out, but that screws up on board computer settings for some vehicles. This comes with alligator clips, but your bike may have a place to connect the other loop quick-connectors which are included for motorcycles. Jul 3, 2015

Elisha F: Pretty much. It monitors the battery voltage and stops charging when it is high enough, adjusting for ambient temperature as well. Occasionally I've plugged it in after a run on warm days and it signals that the voltage is too high, and it doesn't charge until the charge deteriorates and needs topping off. Jul 2, 2015
