Tubular, seamless construction
Compression fit for muscle support to reduce fatigue
Good for +50 degree temperatures, bad below.
The price for this item is too high for its function for winter riders. However, if you buy it from other sources, it is cheaper. Other than the price, it looks good and feels good. When I pulled the shirt out of the box, it was tiny. But once I put it on, the stretchable material adjusted to my skin perfectly. It's snug fit is nice since I have an athletic body with washboard abs and a chiseled chest to complement this shirt, and I get compliments all the time. Most of the time, people have commented that I either look like a superhero in tights or they'll ask if I work out. I wore this as a base layer, with a leather Icon jacket above 50 degrees and it did the job of keeping me warm. However, once temperatures dipped below 50, I felt the cold straight through this top. Definitely had to wear additional layers on top of this shirt, which kills the purpose of wearing less layers to avoid bulkiness and function.

Does not keep warm like other base layers I have tried
The base layers from alpinestars are expensive & generally don't keep out the heat, nor keep in heat. Basically there are a lot of other options when it comes to base layers. Choose wisely

Nice product, but when i opened the box - i found VERY small item - mean it is my size - but looks, like for the kid )) then i tried to wear it - and in was good and with normal size - so it's stretching to body.
From my POV Alpine stars should add line with windstopper from top to bottom in mid - o secure body from cold wind that is coming from zipper of jacket.

Anil N asked:I need to buy some base layers for my morning commutes to work; however, the sizes offered may not work for me. The xs-sm is going to be too far too small for me, and I suspect the md-lg is going to be too big. The Alpinestars sizing chart shows a sm-md size range, but after reviewing the Alpinestars site, it doesn't show this product as being offered in the sm-md size range, rather unfortunate if you ask me. In any case, do these sizes fit as expected or do they run on the larger or smaller side? It'll help me know if I should get the xs-sm or the md-lg. Thanks.Nov 19, 2014
