Excellet Crash tested
I crashed @ 75 MPH on the racetrack wearing these. I got up and walked away so the really work. They do exactly what they are designed to do. These pants are way cheaper than a skin graft : ) I posted the link to my crash video http://youtu.be/rgQL4o_UXe4 you can see how far I slid in these. I highly recommend these to anyone looking for serious protection.

Sexy!!!
These pants give me a sense of security that have taught me to push harded. I have extended my skill on the track and on the street. Having this level of confidence has only came from the security of the pants. I am now a better rider in all aspects now that I have been able to over come my fear with the security of these quality pants.

So comfortable
The first thing I noticed when I put these on was the comfort factor. You dont get a saggy butt in them either. They just fit!
It's a nice change from the cheaper brand I was wearing. Great fit around the knees, keeps the blood flowing.
They are just great pants.

Comfertable except....
I used my tax return to finish my suit and purchased a pair of these in Euro size 58, as im 6'2" 245lbs. Everything fit great, the pants were very comfortable and I felt well protected. The only issue with them is one of the sew lines that attach the stretch panels on the knees to the rest of the pants dig into my knees so bad that after a day of riding that just above my knees are red and raw. Im hoping that some more wears will break them in and this will disappear but as only wearing them once so far this is all ive got.

Top quality
Really comfortable as soon as you get onto the riding position. I cannot go without mentioning about the airflow. Initially I was skeptical about leather pants providing good airflow but this actually made my calves cold on a 70F ride so I am guessing this will definitely keep me cool on a warm day.
The quality and finish is top notch and its from the astars list of products so can skip researching about the quality of the leather used.
I am in between 32-34 jeans size and I am pretty comfortable in a 34 jeans so I went for a 52/42 pant which is one size larger(US size 36). So the pants do go a size smaller especially if you have a little bigger thighs.
Haven't crash tested it, so cannot comment on that and I highly doubt that a brand like astars would let me down.
4stars for "Features" and "Bang for the Buck" as I don't own a track leather pant from any other brand to compare with this.

Alpinestars comes through again!
I'm 6' and 175lbs with slightly longer legs and slim frame with a 36" waist. The size 52 size fits perfectly. Quality construction, good air flow and mates up to my GP-R jacket. Armor is in the right place and stays where it should. Took me a couple tries with other brand to figure out I must have an "Italian" build. Will be buying Alpinestars exclusively from now on. If you are a little put off by the price keep in mind buying better quality costs less in the long run.

Seem well made
I'm 6'2" 190lbs, thin build, long torso. I wear a 34X34 in jeans and the size 52 fit me the best. The legs are a good length for boots and the waist fits snug. the thighs are a bit loose, but that works well for me as I plan to get some armor for my thighs and tail bone.
The knee inserts often fold down in an odd manner when you put them on and then it will dig in to your knee - which is uncomfortable. So this could have been designed better, but it's not a huge deal after adjusting the pants a bit.
Quality seems good, all the zippers are solid. You can feel the wind (in the cold air anyway) on your groin due to the material in that area - this is a good thing.
Overall, a good buy.

Great Option
I write this as a complement to my Alpinestars GP Pro Leather Jacket review,
As I purchased both of them to make a 2-Piece riding suit.
This pants are a recent purchase for me, so I haven't had the chance to try them as long as I'd like to, but I can tell you this; If you're a little picky about the gear you use, and you like the best that there is, in terms of product quality, materials, finish, comfort and design, then look nowhere else and go for this pants, pair them up with a nice jacket of your choice, and you got yourself a 2-piece riding suit that you'll enjoy for years to come.
Please note, that when I say design, I don't only mean that this pants will look good, I mean that they will also perform amazingly, giving you the flexibility and protection that you'd expect from proffessional level riding gear. The guys from AStas are experts at what they do, and they prove that in every single product they sell.
