Alpinestars Thermal Tech Socks
Soft and warm socks
Was comfortable to ride in this socks (under Joe Rocket Big Bang 2.0 Boots) - was not very cold, about 40. Kept legs warm and dry.
They seem to be very high - almost covering my knee (i have 32 inseam), but did not bother under pants.
So i recommend this product

These are great!
These thermal socks are the best I have purchased - While I live in a failry temperate place (Perth in Western Australia) it gets relatively cold for us here and I get really cold feet. I have tried a number of thermal options prior to these Alpine Stars ones, and these are by the best by far.

They work good
They're socks. They're long. They're under $20. What else do you want? I have a hard time paying much more than that for socks, but riding socks in general are pretty expensive. These are about the cheapest you will find, they go up to my knee (stop just under), and are comfortable. They are thinner than my MSR wickdry socks (which are admittedly thick). I wasn't too hot in these, and wasn't too cold. Keep them away from velcro though.

Great socks. Fit and feel great. Keep your feet warm in cooler weather.

I have bought other more expensive socks and these fit just as well, are comfortable and definitely kept me warm on our trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains in December. Bought a couple for my husband as well

Warm and Comfy
Rode with these in 45 degree weather and the socks were very warm and comfy. Did not feel too hot or too cold. Rode for 3 plus hours and never had any problems. Also used the socks for a cold day working outside in regular work boots and again they functioned as I would expect. Warm and Comfy.

Definitely kept my shins/feet warmer
Definitely kept me warmer and you should expect that at this price point. My only gripe would be that the top band of the sock was a bit snug and dug into the back of leg. Hopefully they will break-in over time.
