Style 3/5 The jacket's appealing but nothing special.
Comfort 4/5 I barely notice I'm wearing it once I'm riding. I've upgraded the internal back protection to that reduces the comfort a little.
Protection and durability 4/5 The textile in this jacket is tough and feels very durable. I haven't taken any spill in it though, so it's hard to make a truly informed decision.
Airflow 5/5 There's TONS of air flow in this jacket. Even during the hotter days of the summer, once you're riding, it's cool and comfortable. Don't stand around in the sun though or you'll start to warm up real quick.
Features 3/5 There's nothing on this jacket that absolutely "wowed" me. Plenty of pockets (internal and external) there's also a removable inner lining, presumably for rain because it doesn't seem to cut down on the air flow at all but it's not thick enough to be a thermal lining.
The jacket runs smaller than the American brands. I'm tall lean so the a medium fits my chest perfectly but comes up just the slightest bit short in sleeve and torso length. This doesn't affect the comfort or overall fit for me. Overall I'd give it a 4/5

Great jacket fits true to size I'm 5'6 and the small fits very nice and snug. Doesn't seem like the pads would protect much but still a nice comfy jacket. Air flow is minimal just have to deal.

I've had an icon jacket before this, and i can say that alpinestars sizes a little smaller. Im 6'1 205 athletic build and I got an XL. Arms are good length and it fits good around my midsection, but it is cut pretty short. The padding that comes with it does not seem very durable and they pretty much make you upgrade the protection. I got the blue one and the color is way off, it is more like a baby blue than what is shown in the picture, so be wary of that. But overall I am happy with the look and feel of the jacket.

I LOVE this jacket. it is cut a little small but I find it pretty true to size. As with all Astars gear it is cut short. So when you put it on it will be short but when you ride it is the perefect cut. Zippers and seams all show top quality. vents well and also can be worn in moderately cooler temp with the liner in place.

I wear a size medium for pretty much all shirts and jackets I buy in America, and the medium in this jacket fits as well. The velcro straps on the sides help adjust waist size and they are a nice touch.
I have the red jacket, and the color looks really nice in person.
Ventilation is good.
The protection in the jacket was a little disappointing. The shoulder and elbow protection is minimal and the chest and back were only stuffed with thin foam strips. I've replaced the foam chest pads with the bionic pads and I'm going to buy the RC back protector to replace the back pad.
The material of the jacket seems quite good, though. I haven't crashed in it, and I hope I never do, but I imagine the material would help prevent road rash significantly.
