Alpinestar ST-1 Drystar gloves
Nice glove for me down to 40f. Well made and considering I bought them on closeout a super bargain.

Alpinestar on a Budget
I really like Alpinestar and these gloves are doing the job quite nicely. They fit my budget and are very comfortable. Excellent dexterity with hand controls. I've only had them for about a month so I can't speak about durability. I'm using them for commuting. I'd probably want something with a little more weight for heavy use.

Most frustrating gloves I have ever owned.
The price is cheap, and you get what you pay for. I have never gotten angry at gloves before, but this glove tried my patience and made me angry. The few times I have needed them and tried to get them on my hands has resulted in bad language. If your hands are wet from rain or sweat, don't even try. You simply cannot get your hand in the glove if you have the right size glove. Maybe if you bought them three sizes too big they would go on. I you manage to get them on, when you take them off the lining comes out with your fingers, turning the lining inside out. They offer no protection either. Look elsewhere.

Nice Gloves!
These gloves are light and effective against the cold. I ordered this in mid winter. I don't ride in extreme cold but I needed to test these out, so I used them to clean my yard after a snow storm. I spent more than 1 hour shoveling snow. Then with no tools other than the ST-1 Drystar gloves on my hands I clear the snow covering two cars. After I was done I gloves were completely soaked and weigh more than twice their dry weight. But after taking them off, to my amazement, my hands were completely dry. If that's waterproof then I don't know what is. If anyone buys these, please have the sense of putting the gauntlet inside the jacket.
These are not the best money can buy, Hell, their abrasion resistance is questionable . But if you are looking for a light and comfortable waterproof alternative, these are hard to beat.

Not so dry, even in dry weather,
I wear a Medium per their size chart; a Large in real life.
I ordered an XL to be able to wear a liner, these are tighter than other "Large" Alpinestars, should have gotten a XXL.
My hands sweat, the liner these gloves have make it extremely difficult to remove after wear, the liner comes out, "inverts" after a ride. In the rain the long gauntlet catches water off the jacket to soak hands.
Would not recommend except for the price. Alpinestars glove sizes are getting smaller and their quality has gone way down, very disappointed.
