Comfortable and Affordable :) I like these knee guards, the fit is good, and they sit comfortably under my Duluth fire hose pants all day long on/off bike during winter months. Besides providing good protection, they keep my knees warm. can’t complain about the strap-Velcro combo of this very affordable product, just set it up and put it on/off as you would do with your pants. Great value, good protection These pads are sturdy, small enough to fit under riding jeans or even a pair of work khakis, and stay in place quite well. There's probably better pads out there, especially in the airflow department (though the extra insulation isn't too bad on chilly October mornings), but for the value these can't be beat. Good padding, stout plastic, and they fit well enough under a pair of jeans that my friends don't ask me why my knees are horrifically swollen. October 22, 2012
Great protection! Nicely designed pads. They fit great and are comfotable and light weight. Very easy to put on over street clothes. September 7, 2012
Dont bother for street use I wouldn't recommend these for street use. They are perfect for off road although it would be better if they had different sizes as the single size is WAY to wide for the average person, which makes it difficult to fit under jeans and affects overall riding comfort. Comfortable Protection Alpinestars Reflex Knee Guards, work as advertised very comfortable. The first time I used the guards I went for a 150 mile ride about 80 miles off road and I forgot they were there. Good while sitting or standing on the bike. Use them under my Klim Dakar Pants, and they work great. Temps were cool so I can’t speak to the performance in hot weather. November 7, 2011
great bang for the buck these knee and shin pads are well made and very affordable. The only drawbacks are the two straps(instead of three) and the velcro loves the back of the straps. October 6, 2011
Not so good These guards are good in terms of providing protection, but the finish isn't as good. The straps are made of a material that the velcro loves, and it sticks constantly all over them, causing the straps to become unravel and messy. On the other hand, the knee guards are quite bulky; unless you use very loose-fitting pants, forget about using them under your jeans. I will use them until I buy new ones in few months. Easy and comfortable - top product Great product that you would expect for astar. Good value for the money and provide solid protection for knee/shin. Surprisingly comfortable - I wore them on a 2 hour ride and didn't feel uncomfortable. Fit true to size. Con: in my 2 hour ride, they tended to shift around a little. Not too much trouble tho. Happy with the product and recommend it highly. September 20, 2010
