Good looking, comfortable boot.
These boots (shoes) are just as described in the video. There is no armor around the ankle but it is nicely padded and feels really secure. My left foot is closer to an 11 and my right to a 12 so I ordered the 11.5 which was a nice compromise and fit very well. These boots are comfortable while riding and have a good feel on the pegs, shifter and brake while still filtering out most of the vibration.

I ordered these as a commute shoe. My plan was to wear these on the bike and wear them at work unless I needed to go into the construction areas where I need my steel toes. So far it's not working out for me, because my work boots are much more comfortable. These things do not seem to breathe at all. My feet feel like they are in a pair of plastic shoes and are very hot whether I am sitting at a desk or rolling down the slab. If I do any walking outside the heat gets very intense. They are nice looking, and they seem to be durable, although I am not sure how long the eyelets will last since they appear to be tiny pieces of plastic. This is my first Alpinestars product, and I am pretty disappointed from a performance standpoint with all of the wonderful things I have learned about them. These are made in Vietnam for those out there who look at those types of things. I hate to be ripping on them, but at $169.00, there are far better choices here at Revzilla.
