Let me say this first....awesome gloves!! These gloves replace the lower model A*'s gloves...SP-3. These gloves are tight when you first get them. The quality is excellent. I have big hands and ordered 2x extra large..and still they fit a bit snug...but have broken in well. Better to have snug, than loose. The glove is outragous looking and I have gotten a couple "let me see them", requests. I don't plan on going down, but should it happen, I feel very safe that my hands will survive. August 4, 2014
Tight at first, but fits well after a few uses When I first put these on they were quite tight and had a few seams that dug into my fingers. However after a few uses they seem to have broken in and are now very comfortable. August 4, 2014
Awesome gloves They seem well made after 3 weeks of heavy use. Leather has broken in nicely, and is very comfortable. They look good, and hopefully I'll never have to find out but they seem to provide good protection. I do wish I had ordered XL as I feel like these run a bit small, and I'm on the cusp between L and XL. They are broken in now and have loosened up but were very tight the first few days. Good product, great bang of the buck I recently bought these gloves. Haven’t use them quite a lot yet, but they’re really nice. Offer a lot of protection for the price, not a lot of airflow (that´s a plus for me, I live in a cold zone). They seem durable, despite some reviews where they have problem with the stitching. Good glove for every they use or track day use. July 16, 2014
Flashy gloves for any rider. Wish I would have gone with a darker color, the white leather gets pretty dirty quickly. Other than that, they are fantastic. Slightly warm when riding, but nothing a quick hand off the bar to cool the hand down does the trick. Tight around the wrist...They feel like they would hold up fantastic. May 22, 2014
Great Glove The GP Plus is a fraction of the price of a lot of other track gloves, but they still offer almost all of the protection. The fit is snug, but the leather breaks in after nicely after a full track day. Ventilation has been excellent in upper 60's and should be good through the summer. I originally purchased these as a track specific glove, but I think they will replace my SP-X's as my go-to glove. April 21, 2014
Great protection great feel Fit- Used the Alpinestars fit chart and the gloves fit perfectly right out of the box. Protection- I hopefully will not have to use this feature of the gloves, but if I have to I am confident they will fully protect my hands and fingers. Air flow- the air flow system on these gloves works well across the back of your hand. I'll have to update my review when I wear them on a 90 degree day, but there is definitely airflow over the back of your hand. Feel- you have great feel of the controls, which is a pro and con. There is no gel palm on these gloves so don't expect a plush feeling on your palms, but the extra feel of the controls makes up for it in my opinion. Overall- expensive, but fully protects and gives me confidence when wearing these gloves. I recommend these gloves. April 21, 2014
Amazing protective feel, not so bad price. My friend who races supermoto referred me to these gloves, and since my now secondary gloves weren't gauntlet style I had to pick these up for the track. Out of the package these were amazing, they fit almost uncomfortably tight but I know they will fit great once they break in. These gloves helped raise my riding confidence a fair amount. RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
james p: I have the Alpinestars, SP3 glove. I now have Alpinestars full leathers and it was time for an upgrade. For the money and the quality and reviews I've seen, this is the glove for me. Jul 12, 2014
Robert N: New Bike pickup on Saturday Apr 22, 2014
O T: Needed new gauntlets to go with my new riding jacket. Alpinestars looks great, fits well, and has held together perfectly the few times I've been down, so why not stick with what I know works. Apr 17, 2014
Sergio M: A good cost / benefit glove for track day and travelling Mar 29, 2014
Eric C: Needed A better set of gloves. Watched the vid. on Revzilla .com . No brainer after that Mar 28, 2014
Nikolay N: Always had those gloves I love them Nov 10, 2013
A shopper asked: How is the longevity of this glove in everyday riding? Does it hold up or will it come apart after a while? I have heard both about Alpinestars. Dec 3, 2013

A s: Mine have held up well so far. My last pair of Alpinestars gloves lasted for 7 years but my son had a pair in which the seams of the thumb split after a couple of weeks. The quality seems to run hot and cold, if you get a good pair they will last. Their sizing seems to run to the smaller side, if you need a medium, buy a large since these are Kevlar lined they will NOT stretch as much as a non-lined glove. There are very few gloves that offer a pinkie-bridge and these seemed like the best value-for-money of the bunch. I would buy them again, and from Revzilla, knowing that if I got a pair that was faulty that Revzilla would stand behind them. Dec 4, 2013

Wolfgang H: I have been wearing my gp plus gloves everyday for the past 5 months and they have bren rock solid except on my pointer finger on the right glove the stitching came undone. I took my glove to shoe repair store and a lady stitched it up for nothing and its been perfect ever since. I have washed mine three times and from what I can tell it has done no damage. They do not keep my hands warm at all when its cold and the vents dont work that good when its hot but the protection is good and they are comfortable. Dec 3, 2013

A C: ive been commuting with these for about 2 months now and they are pretty comfy after they break in, they seem to be holding pretty well. in my opinion its a bit of a hassle to have 2 straps. i use these when i hit the canyon every week, im only commuting with these because i lost my street gloves. been down with these on once in a minor 40mph lowside minor scratches on the gloves held up pretty well. Mark N: I can't comment on how long the gloves will last as I've only had them for a month. However, I recently took a spilll after hitting diesel in a bend and the gloves came out fine. Sadly the gixxer wasn't quite so lucky. I love the gloves and so far would happily recommend them. Dec 3, 2013

A shopper asked: What kind of longevity in normal everyday riding can one expect form these gloves? How is Alpinestars' long term quality in general compared to others? Dec 3, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
A s: As long as temperature is above 60 I ride, and I wear gloves EVERY time.. I had a pair of Alpinestars SP1 gloves for about 3 years before they needed replacing. The GP Plus I've only had for one full riding season, but there are no signs of wear or tear yet... I expect to get the same amount or more out of these that I got out of the SP1s that I had. Long term everyday riding I think quality and longevity are top notch as I've had other name brand gloves that didn't last as long as the SP1s. Sorry I wish I could reference the GP plus more but I've only had them one season! Dec 3, 2013

Roland H: I have worn mine almost every day for over a year and they are in perfect shape. I tend not to ride in the rain so they are probably in better shape than if I did. The fit has remained the same, the color has not faded except for minor wear. I like them better than other gloves I have used from BMW or Held. My answer might be different if I used them to race or in inclement weather (other than cold weather) as I do not do so. Dec 3, 2013

Jeremy B: These glove in my experience are solely for racing. I have put many miles on these at the track and they are still very ridged and holding up well. After all this time they are just starting to get broken in. These gloves are in my opinion much to rugged to wear for normal casual riding. I would go with a softer more flexible glove. I hope that helps. Dec 3, 2013

Behzad N: The glove is great for everyday riding. I've had mine for the last year and ride at least 3 times a week with no problems from this glove. The leather breaks in and becomes softer but the glove is built well and the padding / stress points are built to last. Dec 3, 2013

Kenneth L: I've had these gloves for over 4 months, and I love them. I ride almost daily. The stitching, leather, and every other part is holding up great. I even had a high side in them, and they are still in great condition. Dec 3, 2013

A shopper asked: How does this flow air compared to the GP Pro?

I see that glove is considered "Summer Weather" and this glove is not.

Thanks.

Randy M: I used this glove this past summer and it does flow some air but it is a cooler weather glove. That said, I am more for protection than comfort and from experience of a low side crash I can say these are really good gloves. My left hand was caught between the handle bar and the road for about 30 yards and they held up 100%. I replaced the gloves after the crash due to scuffing but I bought the exact same glove because I truly know how they hold up. Dec 15, 2013

Isa E: I own both the GP Pro (2012) and GP Plus (2013) and both have similar/identical PU knuckle air vents and areas of leather perforation. The air flow is excellent for both leather gloves. Dec 15, 2013

Shahrukh E: The air flow is actually phenomenal. Never had a problem with it and I wore these in 90Degrees Far + Weather Dec 15, 2013

A shopper asked: I have a medium astars thunder glove and a large wr-3 goretex one as well they both fit great the wr-3 being my cold weather gloves so i know it has thicker lining. With that being said what size should i get the gp plus in? Mar 3, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
CLIFF G: I also wear the med thunder glove and a med Astar SP2, both of which fit nice. I recently purchased a med GP Plus, and it runs a little smaller, so it's more difficult to put on and take off. I haven't had a chance to wear it much, but as of this point it can get a little uncomfortable because it squeezes the side of my hand a little too much. I'm hoping it will break in and be just right. I'm reluctant to go to a large, since the finger length is correct for me with the med.

Make your best guess, luckily Revzilla is good about exchanges.

Alan D: You could probably order the mediums and be fine. I wear an XL in the SMX-2s and I ended up ordering the GP+ in L. If they are too big you can always exchange them, Revzilla's exchanges are hassle free. Mar 3, 2014

Randy M: I would go with a medium in the gp plus. They may fit a little tight but will break in to give the snug fit you are looking for. Mar 3, 2014

A shopper asked: i just got these and they are rubbing on my knuckles. will this go away after the break-in peroid? Nov 27, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Benjamin R: I didn't have any rubbing on my knuckles when these gloves were new. They were fairly stiff in that section until my first track day was done. They loosened up a bit but feel custom fitted. Nov 28, 2013

A C: maybe you ordered a size to big? youre supposed to order a faily snug size because they stretch out. Dec 28, 2013
