Really great glove for the money I love this glove. Right after purchasing it I took it to the track twice and all though (thankfully) it never touched pavement, the fitment and airflow worked great. Fingers were very maneuverable and the glove stayed tight on my hand. I will say it took a while for the leather to soften up and get comfortable. I wore it around the house for a couple days to break it in before any real use on the bike. October 22, 2014
Great Gloves I did a lot of research and ended up going with the GP plus gloves. I think these are some of the best race gauntlets you can get for under $200. Fitment is great. My hand measures a large so I normally order an XL. They were a little tight at first but after about 50 miles of riding i forgot they were even on. The quality out of the box was very good. I have about 500 miles on them at this point and they still look perfect. Long term wear has yet to be seen. Other reviews report failures in stitching but i have yet to see any. So far i am very happy with them. I would and have recommended them to friends. October 15, 2014
Just enough glove. Just got done with a two day track weekend with these guys. Overall, great glove. I have a strange middle knuckle pain on my left hand from the glove digging in. However, I get that with just about every gauntlet style glove. Not sure why. I like more feeling and am not a fan of really stiff riding gear. These glove provide plenty of protection and features while still being on the "lighter" side for better feel of the controls. September 29, 2014
Feel great even before breaking them in Definitely get a size bigger. They are the same size as my last alpine star gloves. I really like the idea of the palm slider and pinky web. There is great airflow between the fingers. Really like them so far September 22, 2014
needs better stitching this is the second time purchasing this brand of gloves / both times the finger stitching would come loose / for the price I would hope the quality would hold up better / just normal wear / perhaps a better threading could be considered September 20, 2014
I wore two holes in them from everyday riding I wore a hole through the palm and one of the fingers on the palm side. Also the stitching on the pointer finger managed to come undone where it meets the palm, but I just had that sewn back up. One glove didn't survive a recent crash I had because of the hole that wore through, just from riding everyday for a year and the summer, ripped all the way through the palm. They kept my hands protected but I think I'm done with a* gloves. September 10, 2014
Bad Stitching After only riding 400 miles with these gloves the stitching are starting to break off. I have 3/4" gap on my right middle finger where the stitching has started to come apart. I own a lot of Alpinstars gear and this is the only one I would not recommend. September 1, 2014
Far exceeded my expectations My a-stars gp-plus gloves have seen it all. Rain, dirt, sand, mud, 60mph lowside at the track. Still rockin and comfy. They're also very supportive to my hands. Never felt hot or uncomfortable. August 24, 2014

james p: I have the Alpinestars, SP3 glove. I now have Alpinestars full leathers and it was time for an upgrade. For the money and the quality and reviews I've seen, this is the glove for me. Jul 12, 2014
Robert N: New Bike pickup on Saturday Apr 22, 2014
O T: Needed new gauntlets to go with my new riding jacket. Alpinestars looks great, fits well, and has held together perfectly the few times I've been down, so why not stick with what I know works. Apr 17, 2014

A shopper asked: How is the longevity of this glove in everyday riding? Does it hold up or will it come apart after a while? I have heard both about Alpinestars. Dec 3, 2013

A s: Mine have held up well so far. My last pair of Alpinestars gloves lasted for 7 years but my son had a pair in which the seams of the thumb split after a couple of weeks. The quality seems to run hot and cold, if you get a good pair they will last. Their sizing seems to run to the smaller side, if you need a medium, buy a large since these are Kevlar lined they will NOT stretch as much as a non-lined glove. There are very few gloves that offer a pinkie-bridge and these seemed like the best value-for-money of the bunch. I would buy them again, and from Revzilla, knowing that if I got a pair that was faulty that Revzilla would stand behind them. Dec 4, 2013

Wolfgang H: I have been wearing my gp plus gloves everyday for the past 5 months and they have bren rock solid except on my pointer finger on the right glove the stitching came undone. I took my glove to shoe repair store and a lady stitched it up for nothing and its been perfect ever since. I have washed mine three times and from what I can tell it has done no damage. They do not keep my hands warm at all when its cold and the vents dont work that good when its hot but the protection is good and they are comfortable. Dec 3, 2013

A C: ive been commuting with these for about 2 months now and they are pretty comfy after they break in, they seem to be holding pretty well. in my opinion its a bit of a hassle to have 2 straps. i use these when i hit the canyon every week, im only commuting with these because i lost my street gloves. been down with these on once in a minor 40mph lowside minor scratches on the gloves held up pretty well. Mark N: I can't comment on how long the gloves will last as I've only had them for a month. However, I recently took a spilll after hitting diesel in a bend and the gloves came out fine. Sadly the gixxer wasn't quite so lucky. I love the gloves and so far would happily recommend them. Dec 3, 2013

A shopper asked: What kind of longevity in normal everyday riding can one expect form these gloves? How is Alpinestars' long term quality in general compared to others? Dec 3, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
A s: As long as temperature is above 60 I ride, and I wear gloves EVERY time.. I had a pair of Alpinestars SP1 gloves for about 3 years before they needed replacing. The GP Plus I've only had for one full riding season, but there are no signs of wear or tear yet... I expect to get the same amount or more out of these that I got out of the SP1s that I had. Long term everyday riding I think quality and longevity are top notch as I've had other name brand gloves that didn't last as long as the SP1s. Sorry I wish I could reference the GP plus more but I've only had them one season! Dec 3, 2013

Roland H: I have worn mine almost every day for over a year and they are in perfect shape. I tend not to ride in the rain so they are probably in better shape than if I did. The fit has remained the same, the color has not faded except for minor wear. I like them better than other gloves I have used from BMW or Held. My answer might be different if I used them to race or in inclement weather (other than cold weather) as I do not do so. Dec 3, 2013

Jeremy B: These glove in my experience are solely for racing. I have put many miles on these at the track and they are still very ridged and holding up well. After all this time they are just starting to get broken in. These gloves are in my opinion much to rugged to wear for normal casual riding. I would go with a softer more flexible glove. I hope that helps. Dec 3, 2013

Behzad N: The glove is great for everyday riding. I've had mine for the last year and ride at least 3 times a week with no problems from this glove. The leather breaks in and becomes softer but the glove is built well and the padding / stress points are built to last. Dec 3, 2013

Kenneth L: I've had these gloves for over 4 months, and I love them. I ride almost daily. The stitching, leather, and every other part is holding up great. I even had a high side in them, and they are still in great condition. Dec 3, 2013

A shopper asked: How does this flow air compared to the GP Pro?

I see that glove is considered "Summer Weather" and this glove is not.

Thanks.

Randy M: I used this glove this past summer and it does flow some air but it is a cooler weather glove. That said, I am more for protection than comfort and from experience of a low side crash I can say these are really good gloves. My left hand was caught between the handle bar and the road for about 30 yards and they held up 100%. I replaced the gloves after the crash due to scuffing but I bought the exact same glove because I truly know how they hold up. Dec 15, 2013

Isa E: I own both the GP Pro (2012) and GP Plus (2013) and both have similar/identical PU knuckle air vents and areas of leather perforation. The air flow is excellent for both leather gloves. Dec 15, 2013

Shahrukh E: The air flow is actually phenomenal. Never had a problem with it and I wore these in 90Degrees Far + Weather Dec 15, 2013

A shopper asked: I have a medium astars thunder glove and a large wr-3 goretex one as well they both fit great the wr-3 being my cold weather gloves so i know it has thicker lining. With that being said what size should i get the gp plus in? Mar 3, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
CLIFF G: I also wear the med thunder glove and a med Astar SP2, both of which fit nice. I recently purchased a med GP Plus, and it runs a little smaller, so it's more difficult to put on and take off. I haven't had a chance to wear it much, but as of this point it can get a little uncomfortable because it squeezes the side of my hand a little too much. I'm hoping it will break in and be just right. I'm reluctant to go to a large, since the finger length is correct for me with the med.

Make your best guess, luckily Revzilla is good about exchanges.

Alan D: You could probably order the mediums and be fine. I wear an XL in the SMX-2s and I ended up ordering the GP+ in L. If they are too big you can always exchange them, Revzilla's exchanges are hassle free. Mar 3, 2014

Randy M: I would go with a medium in the gp plus. They may fit a little tight but will break in to give the snug fit you are looking for. Mar 3, 2014

A shopper asked: i just got these and they are rubbing on my knuckles. will this go away after the break-in peroid? Nov 27, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Benjamin R: I didn't have any rubbing on my knuckles when these gloves were new. They were fairly stiff in that section until my first track day was done. They loosened up a bit but feel custom fitted. Nov 28, 2013

A C: maybe you ordered a size to big? youre supposed to order a faily snug size because they stretch out. Dec 28, 2013
