Great basic 3/4 helmet for price
I got this as a scooter helmet for when I'm commuting low speed around town and don't strictly need the full face protection. It's very comfortable, airy, has a nice shield (though I do wish it had a tab to pull up/down), and works great. The pads do seem a bit prone to unsnap with handling, but not a big problem especially for this price.

Excellent city helmet and price value
Just a tad square in the front for me and a bit small overall. Quality seems good and fit and finish outstanding at this price range. Overall highly recommendable.

Quiet helmet!
I have searched for a quiet helmet spending lots of $$$, but this relatively cheap is surprisingly quiet. It would be even more quiet if the face shield sealed well, but it does not. It's a nice helmet at a fair price.

Great views!
Recently took this helmet on a 12 hr./day road trip and loved it. There's plenty of space in the padding around the ears for headphones (we used wireless bluetooth earbuds and they worked great), and fabulous views with the clear shield. Easy to put on and take off as well. A little hard to wear by the end of the days, but what helmet wouldn't get a little tiring after 12 hours of riding. All in all, I love it. Looking forward to the next trip.

Good helmet for the price.
This is the first helmet I've every purchased so take my review with a grain of salt.

The padding is comfortable and I haven't noticed any hot spots.

There are few features to create wind noise and over all the helmet is relatively quite. However, I haven't gone over 35mph (I'm on a moped)

The chin strap loops are a bit tricky to work with, but anyone with normal sized fingers won't have a problem.

The visor feels cheap and can pop off easily. It scratches VERY easily, so never let it roll over especially on the ground.

First Helmet
This is my first helmet, and I purchased it so I could ride on the back of my boyfriend's Triumph motorcycle. I like the fit and padding level of this helmet, but I do wish that the front visor was removable. Overall, great helmet, looks good & feels good!

Great for a basic face sheild helmet.
I do like the helmet, the fit is a bit snug, the face sheild works well. However when I wear polorized sun glasses it does distort/heighten colors. It gives your ears room for headphones, but it doesn't dampen noise enough, in my opinion. Although it's openess does give good breathability. I wish the sheild was a darker tint or a dark tint shield was included. Overall I am happy with this helmet.

Price. I wanted an extra helmet to keep in a side bag.

They say in the ad that this helmet is Hypoallergenic which I hope means that the lining dose not contain any latex as the new helmets do. Buyer beware. If you are allergic to latex...the Moisture-wicking Anti-bacterial lining may be made of latex. And believe me, a latex break out on your head and face is not any thing to with upon anyone. Jack.

I am glad I came across this website, after looking for an affordable helmet for weeks. My child chose the flat black to go with their neon green moped. My child is finally going to be able to ride their moped and be safe, which will give me peace of mind.

Hello,
Over the years, I've come to learn that my head is notably narrow/oval, front to back. I've been wearing a scorpion exo-r2000 with great comfort. To anyone who may also have a narrow head, and knows a bit about the fit of this helmet, how does the FX43 fit this head shape? Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

BEST ANSWER: Hey bro check out the arai signet Q!! Read my comment & see if it helps
Can you ride with the shield up?
A shopper on Apr 1, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I keep this helmet as a spare for people riding in my hack, so I don't actually know. I played with the shield and the mechanism looks pretty sturdy. When the shield is up all the way, there is about 1/4" of space between it and the helmet that would probably move the air OK. I'm just not sure what type of turbulence you would have on your face. Overall, this helmet is a surprisingly good deal, but I will note that the shell seems pretty thin for a serious impact. Mine has the ECE and DOT ratings, so it must be pretty good and I probably shouldn't try to second-guess the engineers : )
Does the face shield cover the entire face?
A shopper on Jan 29, 2016
BEST ANSWER: You're probably going to need to try it for yourself. My wife normally wears this helmet (M) when she rides in the sidecar and it comes to the bottom of her chin. I can manage to get it on my head (normally wear a 1X to 3X) and it only comes to my lips. It's really going to depend on your head shape and size.
