    AFX FX-37 DS Multi Helmet

    This helmet model meets or exceeds both ECE 22.05 and DOT FMVSS-218 motorcycle helmet safety standards. Please Note: Only ECE approved helmets purchased from European importers carry the ECE certification markings. This is due to ECE regulations.


    Features:

    • An aerodynamic shell design constructed using an advanced lightweight composite poly-alloy
    • A flush-fit, quick-release, single-turn screw face shield with side covers. The shield itself is optically correct, compound-curved, scratch-resistant and protects against UV-rays
    • There are several tinted shields available for this model
    • Shield can be removed to allow open face riding or goggle use
    • A helmet liner and cheek pads made with a hypo-allergenic and antimicrobial nylon, all of which are removable and washable
    • 9 points of ventilation with chin, side, forehead top and rear vents
    • A square type D-ring with chin strap holder
    • Provides simple ear cavity space for speakers
    • A clearcoat finish to protect paint & graphics
    • FX-37DS weighs 1.65 kg or 3.64 lbs (Large)

It is shaped for a round head. The craftsmanship could be better and the guts should be more ergonomic. The vents are always open. It's an ok helmet but the AFX FX DS-39 is a way better way to go.

I was looking for a good entry-level dual sport type helmet when I found the AFX FX-37. The styling is great and the price definitely made it appealing. I'm sure that this isn't the most comfortable helmet in the class, but at $300 - $400 less than some others, I think it's comfortable enough for for me.
Other people mentioned the visor optics being a bit off and I have noticed that. You get a little bit of a fisheye effect in your periphery but it's not a big deal. I can't really speak to it's durability yet since I haven't had it that long, but the build quality looks on par with many of the other helmets I've had for years. I'm sure this one will hold it's own just fine.
Overall I'm very pleased with the purchase and would recommend this helmet to anyone who's looking to go dual-sport without breaking the bank.

This is a great fitting helmet. The helmet blocks the cold wind from my face way better than my MX helmet. I have riden at about 60 to 70 mph for a week now and have no issues with wind buffeting, if anybody does then don't look at the sky. The road noise is lower than my MX helmet for sure. I haven't had it fog up yet and i been riding in 30 degree weather. The price here at revzilla was the lowest that I could find.
Pros Comfortable, Fashionable, Great Value, Rugged
Cons price for graphics for any brand of helmet is crazy on any website.

Pretty good helmet for the design and price. I was disappointed that the button on the chin strap came off in less than a month. The helmet looks nice but the lip (understandably) catches in the wind at 50+ mph. Perhaps I have a round face but I was expecting ample room and it is cramped. It makes my cheeks and forehead red.

Works great for my passenger (aka honey). At just above $100 is a good deal.
Riders WILL however have an issue with the face shield. The image you get is a little distorted. I have one of these and ended up using my off road goggles with it.
The Joe Rocket dual sport is the next best thing and I can recommend it since I got one as well.
Pros Comfortable, Great Value
