The Nolan X-Lite X-802 Helmet is a composite fibre racing helmet. This design represents the culmination of years of experience in the top levels of motorcycle racing competitions. Each component (shell, visor, liner, and ventilation system) is the product of innovative development, aimed at providing a product with constant quality and perfect performance. Each part was carefully designed considering top performance and developed along an experimental and test scheme in the MotoGP. Already at the beginning of the 2008 motorcycle racing season, Casey Stoner, Jorge Lorenzo, and other riders sponsored by Nolan Group, tested and experimented many of the innovative technical solutions found on this helmet which is now available for the most serious and demanding riders.

TRIPLE SHELL

The X-802 benefits from the advantages that come from using three different measurements of outer shell for the six available helmet sizes (XS/S, M/L, XL/XXL). This way, the weight and volume of the helmet (and hence its aerodynamic resistance) are kept to a minimum, proportionate to the rider’s size.

UPGRADED VISOR

The visor of X-802 is completely new, with conspicuous design innovations that result in an impressively wide field of vision and an excellent rotation mechanism, which benefits all movements for opening, closing, and application of the Nolan Top Fog Resistant system (the standard inner visor with a fog-resistant silicone-sealed profile). The curved outer surface model is equipped with this system, and it is also available in the flat model that is fit for the use of outer tear-off visors. The new visor is flanked by the rotational mechanism that has been fit on all Nolan® full-face helmets for a number of years. The mechanism is light, reliable with a tool-free quick release visor, 4 mm adjustment of the air draught between the visor and the window trim, and DOUBLE ACTION that: A visor lock, to prevent accidental visor opening, especially at high speeds; B visor demisting, at low speeds or during stops, by a minimum visor opening.

REMOVABLE COMFORT PADDING IN UNITHERM

The UNITHERM fabric used to make the padding of X-802 is the top in comfort. It is the most up-to-date elasticised microfibre that actively regulates breathability by rapidly dispersing perspiration. The removable cheek pads offer the greatly appreciated STEADYFIT, essential to maintaining the helmet steady at high speeds thanks to its triple differentiated density configuration, which provides excellent comfort even under conditions of substantial cheek pressure.

ADJUSTABLE STABILITY DEVICE (ASD)

An innovative aerodynamic adjustable rear spoiler is integrated in the shell. The product of experience and testing in the wind tunnel and on track, the new spoiler optimizes the aerodynamics of the helmet, stabilizing it at high speeds, and assists the extraction of hot air from the interior through outlet vents integrated directly in the spoiler. Its profile, and thus its aerodynamics, can be adjusted to one of the two available configurations to better suit riders’ different positions and styles.

VENTILATION SYSTEM
