Wolfman Blackhawk Tank Bag Videos

Wolfman Blackhawk Tank Bag

The Blackhawk Tank Bag fits in between the compact Enduro Tank Bag and the Explorer Lite Tank Bag. It's 8-liter capacity and trim lines give it great clearance for off-road riding. The curved base contours snugly to most sloped tanks. The foam structure gives the Blackhawk “Soft-Rigidity”, allowing the bag to flex.

The redesigned clear map pocket is a step forward in versatility. They have taken the traditional “Map Pocket” and made it more useful to riders who use electronics; Wolfman has incorporated a strip of "Loop" material inside the pocket, and include a strip of Adhesive “Hook” to attach to your smart phone, GPS, Spot, etc. so they stay put.

Items can be kept organized with one stealthy outside pocket and an internal mesh pocket under the top. The silver interior makes it easy to see the contents of the bag. A small removable/adjustable bungee-cord across the top provides a convenient spot for gloves and such while fueling.

While the Wolfman Blackhawk Tank Bag has a universal fit, it works especially well on the Yamaha Super Tenere.

nice bag Very well made. Only con: yellow zipper lanyards are already frayed. October 26, 2015
Great bang for the buck Install on FZ-07, finally, some place to store my tissues. Perfect size for tank mount. Design makes it easy to mount. Great product. October 19, 2015
Love Wolfman Products Easy to install, great product! Wolfman always provides quality, I've never had any issues. September 21, 2015
Great fit for the Ducati Scrambler The fit is great for my Ducati Scrambler. The material on the bottom is like advertised. Does not slip and did not scratch up my tank. Usually on light trips I throw a water bottle, micro 4/3rd camera, sunglasses, wallet, charger, vaporizor, trail mix, and still extra room to spare. The rain gutter takes a little effort to pull down. Feels really sturdy but sometimes in a pinch I'll just leave it flipped up. Overall the construction is top notch. Feels like it will do it's job well for years to come. The only reason for the lack of 1 star is that mine did not come with that velcro to tape to your phone. That's an easy fix though. Also, as a suggestion for future wolfman, I wish there is a way to better route a charger cable into the top map pocket. If it comes with velcro then obviously it's designed for electronics not just maps. If any electronics were to be in there, it needs to be charged! Either from the bike or from a portable charger in the bag compartment. Overall still a very solid product. September 21, 2015
great tank bag! simple but perfectly simple, refined in all the right areas. A great bag for the money, probably the best value out there in a tank bag August 18, 2015
Perfect Fit I was looking for a more compact tank bag for my Tiger XC and the Blackhawk fulfills that mission. The shape of the bag conforms perfectly to the tank and is unobtrusive yet provides adequate space for the handy essentials. The bag does not obscure the instruments nor does it impede my ability to stand on the pegs when needed. I have owned several Wolfman products in the past and have always been pleased with the fit, finish and durability. August 17, 2015
Perfect size and fit for a 2nd gen KLR By far my favorite Wolfman bag. It will take some light, no tools modification of the forward straps to mount it, and some niggling to get the position right but once you set it up it's done. No hassles fueling up. Holds my goggles, sunglasses, a wipe rag, spare gloves, garage door remote and a small tool kit with room to spare. My only complaint: the map holder fogs over in the rain. If I needed to read a map in the rain, I'd be screwed. Beyond that, an excellent bag. June 2, 2015
Pretty nice I purchased this bag so I would have quick access to gloves , glasses and other items. My first impression was, I thought it would be a bit larger. Even though it was a bit smaller than expected, it's well made and has many compartments. I do like it and it works quite well for me. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars , is the instructions on installation. The directions weren't the easiest to follow. If they can just include a few more pictures , it would certainly help. The Wolfman Enduro bag is a little too small for my needs and the Wolfman Expedition Lite is a little too big for the Honda. The 8 liter Blackhawk bag should be just right." Feb 28, 2015

Michael D: Design, manufacturer reputation and product suitability for F650 gs. Dec 14, 2014
Russell B: I have a Wolfman Large Expedition Tank Bag for my KLR 650, and I just don't like the design - it's hard to quickly access (grabbing a camera for a quick shot) and it's floppy and unwieldy unless it's full. It's also too large for standing on the pegs - you can't straddle the tank. On my smaller bike, I have the Enduro Tank Bag, which I really like. So I thought I'd try this slightly larger version for the KLR. Dec 7, 2014

Wayne M: I tried it on both my DRZ400S, and F800GS. I would say it was on the large side on my DRZ400S, which is comparable (perhaps slightly larger) to a WR250R. I would look at the Wolfman Enduro if you're looking for a better fit. I know a lot guys put that one on. Jul 13, 2014

Tony D: I've got mine on a 13' R1200GS. It should fit the GSA with no problem. It's smaller than you think, and smaller than it looks. It's really only big enough for a pair of sunglasses, a cell phone, a small point-shoot camera and a bit of other stuff. If I had it to do over again, I would have gone one size/bag bigger. Randy H: I have no idea. It fits my 08 KLR 650 just fine. But I don't like the straps. I would go magnet mount if I had to do it again. Apr 27, 2015

A shopper asked: Out of stock, got it. But blocking the pictures of the product is moronic, insulting, really frustrating, can you tell? Specifically I want to see how it might work, or not, with a plastic offroad gas tank that has a large screw on tank cap with a high extended fuel vent line. Your blocked pictures and descriptions can't really answer that for a Safari gas tank.

Don't block the pictures please.

Jerry S: I think it all depends on how flexible your breather hose is, as the bag would be mounted right over the top of the gas cap, with four straps (2 in front, 2 in back). You typically disconnect the front two when accessing the gas cap. Not knowing exactly what your Sarfari tank looks like, I would assume it has a fairly pointed (as opposed to flat) tank top, so it might not be a real great fit for the Blackhawk box. And, if this is primarily an offroad bike, you may feel like it's a little in way when you are standing up. Jul 15, 2014

Randy H: I don't think it will work with the tank you have. It does work on my 08 klr but it just has a regular locking gas cap. The main reason it works so well on my bike is I can mount it up high on the tank to give me room to stand up. I hope you find want your looking for. Jul 15, 2014

Thomas W: I have one on my KLR 650; it has a stock gas tank with a fairly flush gas cap with no vent line. It fits great on mine, but because the bag rests directly on the cap, you will have a huge problem due to the large screw and vent line. Jul 15, 2014

MARK R: This bag on a stock DR650 tank covers/overlaps 100% of the stock gas cap. I have to unhook the front straps and tilt the bag back to fill the tank. Don't see it working well with a high extended fuel vent line. Jul 15, 2014

MICHAEL J: This bag won't work, and I can't think of an that will with the setup that you've described.

Lewis S asked: what are the dimensions of the map pocket? Apr 29, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Darlene B: About 5 1/2 in. x 71/2 in.
Don't use it much since smart phones are so handy. I usually keep a pen and notepad in it. The main compartment is big enough to hold my clear face shield, neck gaitor, camelback water bottle and the all important cork screw. The rain cover works well also.

James S: I purchased the Wolfman Blackhawk Tank Bag for a BMW G650 GS upon Wolfman's recommendation. Call Wolfman directly to find out if this tank bag will fit on a R1200RT. They will direct you accordingly. Then buy from RevZilla! Apr 30, 2014

Robert U: I have it on a 2014 GS and it fits great, the GS tank is sloped pretty steep towards the back. I wanted a smaller bag to hold maps and a few do-dads, this bag fits the bill great, Apr 30, 2014

Donato Y: the best bag for the rt is the bmw one that clips on trhe mount. the wolfman is less expensive, smaller and not waterproof but will work with the rain cover. Apr 30, 2014

Jon P: No. Fits well on my GS. Smaller than expected and that's ok, may appear a bit dwarfed on RT. Or you may be perfectly happy w minimalist look. Apr 30, 2014
