Wolfman Blackhawk Tank Bag

The Blackhawk Tank Bag fits in between the compact Enduro Tank Bag and the Explorer Lite Tank Bag. It's 8-liter capacity and trim lines give it great clearance for off-road riding. The curved base contours snugly to most sloped tanks. The foam structure gives the Blackhawk “Soft-Rigidity”, allowing the bag to flex.

The redesigned clear map pocket is a step forward in versatility. They have taken the traditional “Map Pocket” and made it more useful to riders who use electronics; Wolfman has incorporated a strip of "Loop" material inside the pocket, and include a strip of Adhesive “Hook” to attach to your smart phone, GPS, Spot, etc. so they stay put.

Items can be kept organized with one stealthy outside pocket and an internal mesh pocket under the top. The silver interior makes it easy to see the contents of the bag. A small removable/adjustable bungee-cord across the top provides a convenient spot for gloves and such while fueling.

Features:

  • Large #10 YKK main zipper with extended weather flap
  • Stealthy zippered pocket right in front of the rider
  • Reflective carry handle and side accents

Wolfman Blackhawk Tank Bag 5 5 7 7
Perfect fit My 11 year old tank bag was badly weathered. The handle bar switches hit the bag every time you turned the handlebars. Thus the search was on for a better tank bag. Wolfman, Blackhawk. Holds every thing I need. Mounted on my 04 Honda ST1300 pretty easy. Just used the map case for the first X. nice. Really like the hold down strap for riding gloves. The strap on rear of bag is were I will place my dual temp controller. I did order the rain cover. Did not test that YET. Oh, MADE in the USA. July 14, 2014
Great smaller size bag for my KTM 690 I bought this bag to replace my large Wolfman Rainier which impeded my standing position when on the KTM 690. It was fine (still large) on my VStrom. I tried several different bags from Revzilla (great return policy) and opted for this as the best size and shape. I fashioned a padded camera (M43) section with protection from a camera bag. This bag holds phone, snacks, camera + larger lens, energy drink, leatherman tool, phone, wallet, spare gloves, map (paper), and still provides a lot of room for an aggressive standing position. One of the real sellers for me was the fact that it uses the same standard attachment harness as my rainier so I can trade off depending on the room (storage and riding) that I'll need. Wrestling with that now for my COBDR trip. All in all a great purchase, happy with Wolfman quality (3 bags now) and of course Revzilla's purchase-return policy. July 8, 2014
Perfect size for the KLR, very high quality construction. I had always wanted a tank bag but passed on several because they were either too big or too small, the Blackhawk is the perfect size. I can fit my wallet, phone, camera, a full size Nalgene bottle, sunglasses, a few maps and an extra pair of gloves in it and still have a little room left over. The bag is of quality construction and you can tell that Wolfman put some serious thought into its design. Installation is easy, about 10 minutes to include reading the instructions. The universal mount that comes with the bag works on the KLR but I wish I would have known that there was a KLR specific front mount available when I ordered. July 6, 2014
Great product made in the USA Installed on a R1200GSW. The tankbag fits the slope of the tank fine. I do not like big tall tankbags and the Blackhawk was exactly what I was looking for. I really like the elastic strap across the map pocket, you can stash you gloves there during a stop. Highly recommended. May 24, 2014
Great bag even for a small bike. Great bag! I was worried a bought too big of a bag for my smaller bike but it worked great. Quality seems great. clear pocket on the top is detachable. the elastic band that runs across the top held my nalgene and hat in place perfectly. Bag works great on even small bikes May 17, 2014
Great bag for slant back tank This bag is a good fit for a KLR with its' slanted tank. The regular big flat tank bag is a clumsy fit for adventure bike tanks. May 12, 2014
Great upgrade from Enduro tank bag I ran the Wolfman Enduro tank bag on my KTM 950. When I got a KTM 690 I wanted something bigger. The Blackhawk is the perfect size. The map pocket is 100% more usable than the Enduro's. March 27, 2014

A shopper asked: Out of stock, got it. But blocking the pictures of the product is moronic, insulting, really frustrating, can you tell? Specifically I want to see how it might work, or not, with a plastic offroad gas tank that has a large screw on tank cap with a high extended fuel vent line. Your blocked pictures and descriptions can't really answer that for a Safari gas tank.

Don't block the pictures please.

Jerry S: I think it all depends on how flexible your breather hose is, as the bag would be mounted right over the top of the gas cap, with four straps (2 in front, 2 in back). You typically disconnect the front two when accessing the gas cap. Not knowing exactly what your Sarfari tank looks like, I would assume it has a fairly pointed (as opposed to flat) tank top, so it might not be a real great fit for the Blackhawk box. And, if this is primarily an offroad bike, you may feel like it's a little in way when you are standing up. Jul 15, 2014

Randy H: I don't think it will work with the tank you have. It does work on my 08 klr but it just has a regular locking gas cap. The main reason it works so well on my bike is I can mount it up high on the tank to give me room to stand up. I hope you find want your looking for. Jul 15, 2014

Thomas W: I have one on my KLR 650; it has a stock gas tank with a fairly flush gas cap with no vent line. It fits great on mine, but because the bag rests directly on the cap, you will have a huge problem due to the large screw and vent line. Jul 15, 2014

MARK R: This bag on a stock DR650 tank covers/overlaps 100% of the stock gas cap. I have to unhook the front straps and tilt the bag back to fill the tank. Don't see it working well with a high extended fuel vent line. Jul 15, 2014

MICHAEL J: This bag won't work, and I can't think of an that will with the setup that you've described.

James S: I purchased the Wolfman Blackhawk Tank Bag for a BMW G650 GS upon Wolfman's recommendation. Call Wolfman directly to find out if this tank bag will fit on a R1200RT. They will direct you accordingly. Then buy from RevZilla! Apr 30, 2014

Robert U: I have it on a 2014 GS and it fits great, the GS tank is sloped pretty steep towards the back. I wanted a smaller bag to hold maps and a few do-dads, this bag fits the bill great, Apr 30, 2014

Donato Y: the best bag for the rt is the bmw one that clips on trhe mount. the wolfman is less expensive, smaller and not waterproof but will work with the rain cover. Apr 30, 2014

Jon P: No. Fits well on my GS. Smaller than expected and that's ok, may appear a bit dwarfed on RT. Or you may be perfectly happy w minimalist look. Apr 30, 2014

A shopper asked: Anyone have this bag on WR250R.? Jun 17, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Wayne M: I tried it on both my DRZ400S, and F800GS. I would say it was on the large side on my DRZ400S, which is comparable (perhaps slightly larger) to a WR250R. I would look at the Wolfman Enduro if you're looking for a better fit. I know a lot guys put that one on. Jul 13, 2014
