Wolfman Blackhawk Tank Bag

The Blackhawk Tank Bag fits in between the compact Enduro Tank Bag and the Explorer Lite Tank Bag. It's 8-liter capacity and trim lines give it great clearance for off-road riding. The curved base contours snugly to most sloped tanks. The foam structure gives the Blackhawk “Soft-Rigidity”, allowing the bag to flex.

The redesigned clear map pocket is a step forward in versatility. They have taken the traditional “Map Pocket” and made it more useful to riders who use electronics; Wolfman has incorporated a strip of "Loop" material inside the pocket, and include a strip of Adhesive “Hook” to attach to your smart phone, GPS, Spot, etc. so they stay put.

Items can be kept organized with one stealthy outside pocket and an internal mesh pocket under the top. The silver interior makes it easy to see the contents of the bag. A small removable/adjustable bungee-cord across the top provides a convenient spot for gloves and such while fueling.

While the Wolfman Blackhawk Tank Bag has a universal fit, it works especially well on the Yamaha Super Tenere.

great fit for a KLR I ordered this tank bag after reading a couple of reviews as to the fit on a sloped tank such as a KLR 650 ,2009 model.I was pleased to see that the fit was correct and the installation was very easy. the bag itself looks like it will hold quite a lot. Waiting for spring / summer to see how it will work on a trip! February 23, 2015
Perfect fit for my DRZ400 I got this tank bag for my dual sport DRZ400S after returning from an overnight trip where I tried using a large tank bag from another bike of mine. This other larger bag interfered with my legs while standing up on the pegs, but I needed a bag that was still sufficient in capacity for carrying my DSLR camera. This bag fits the bill perfectly, and does not interfere with my riding abilities. The heavy duty zipper makes it easy to access stuff inside quickly, versus the draw string method I have seen on some of the smaller Wolfman bags. The size is just right in that it fits on the tank, not blocking the gas cap or the front of the seat. January 19, 2015
You can't go wrong with Wolfman. This is my second Wolfman tank bag. I wanted something a little smaller for the BMW R1200GSA since I have panniers for large items. It is perfect for small frequently used items. I especially like the quick disconnect buckles for accessing the fuel tank. Very durable material with great zippers. The map pocket isn't big enough for a map, but useful for holding my gate opener. The bungy on top secures my glasses and gloves during stops. The universal harness can be mounted to just about anything. Most importantly, because the bag is narrow, it does not interfere with my controls when my bars are at full lock. January 5, 2015
Very High Quality Tank Bag Although I prefer magnetic bags, we own several bikes with plastic tanks. Although I considered one of the "gas cap lid" types of bags, they look kind of strange perched on the tank and this bag is a known quantity. I believe this is my fifth Wolfman bag. I especially like the little tank panniers, which are equally useful as small saddlebags on small dual sports. This bag is simply a high quality small tankbag. It is the perfect size for my F650gs BMW, but would work on any small or mid-sized dual sport. This isn't something you can ever wear out and it will look new after years of use. November 24, 2014
Good tank bag for everyday use Like all Wolfman products, this is a high quality bag that you can tell will last a long time and can take a beating as soon as you pull it out of the box. I bought the Blackhawk model due to it's 8-liter size. It is perfect for everyday use. This is a small bag, so probably not the best for long trips. Perfect for single day rides and commuting. I have it on a Triumph Explorer 1200, and it fits and looks great on my tank. Installation was a snap. The features are very nice. For the price I wish it would have come with a waterproof cover, but you can purchase those separately. Hence my rating of 4 of 5 for "Bang for the Buck." November 10, 2014
All I need I don't like tank bags. They tend to obscure the instrument panel, slide around on the tank, sag, not to mention being an eye sore. I needed a bag that would perform utilitarian tasks keeping frequently required items handy such as sun/eye glasses, toll money, small point and shoot camera, and a charging station for my phone and iPad. The Blackhawk allows me to put my iPad inside and run a USB cable through a gap in the zipper. The small external pocket on the side facing the rider will accept my iPhone and likewise allows me to charge it. Mounting it onto my '07 GS is easy. The bag does not slip due its grippy bottom. Fueling is easy with no drama. I seldom use maps while riding since I have a gps so I can't really comment on the map pocket accept to say its not large enough to use most state map's single panel but that's not uncommon. The Blackhawk's construction is top quality. Its not billed as waterproof and I haven't experienced rain yet. I have a dry bag that fits inside the bag to protect my electronics. I'm a tankbag convert as long as its a Blackhawk. October 20, 2014
Great bag, good quality - made in USA Nice size, heck it fits a six pack too. The zippers are really nice and easy to handle, especially with gloves on. I just wish I could lock it somehow onto the bike somehow so someone can't unsnap it and walk off with it. October 13, 2014
Good small size tank bag for R1200GS I purchased this bag because I was looking for something smaller and less expensive than the BMW bag. It's just the right size for sunglasses, visor clean, helmet lock and phone and fits nicely on my 2009 R1200GS . No difficulty finding mounting points in the front and rear of the tank. The 4 point mounting points create a stable mount with no movement. The only improvement I would like to see is the addition of a protective sleeve on the from mounting straps because it looks like these could rub the on the paint. I also purchased the rain cover which is tailored to fit the Blackhawk with no excess material. The rain cover kept the bag dry through a one hour rain shower. I'm very happy with this purchase. Good workmanship, heavy duty zippers with pill cords. Nice job Wolfman!. October 13, 2014

Richard G: "I've used Wolfman products for many years on my motorcycles and have found them to be good, reliable, durable products. I bought the Blackhawk bag for use on my Honda XR650L. The Wolfman Enduro bag is a little too small for my needs and the Wolfman Expedition Lite is a little too big for the Honda. The 8 liter Blackhawk bag should be just right." Feb 28, 2015

Michael D: Design, manufacturer reputation and product suitability for F650 gs. Dec 14, 2014
Russell B: I have a Wolfman Large Expedition Tank Bag for my KLR 650, and I just don't like the design - it's hard to quickly access (grabbing a camera for a quick shot) and it's floppy and unwieldy unless it's full. It's also too large for standing on the pegs - you can't straddle the tank. On my smaller bike, I have the Enduro Tank Bag, which I really like. So I thought I'd try this slightly larger version for the KLR. Dec 7, 2014

A shopper asked: Out of stock, got it. But blocking the pictures of the product is moronic, insulting, really frustrating, can you tell? Specifically I want to see how it might work, or not, with a plastic offroad gas tank that has a large screw on tank cap with a high extended fuel vent line. Your blocked pictures and descriptions can't really answer that for a Safari gas tank.

Don't block the pictures please.

Jerry S: I think it all depends on how flexible your breather hose is, as the bag would be mounted right over the top of the gas cap, with four straps (2 in front, 2 in back). You typically disconnect the front two when accessing the gas cap. Not knowing exactly what your Sarfari tank looks like, I would assume it has a fairly pointed (as opposed to flat) tank top, so it might not be a real great fit for the Blackhawk box. And, if this is primarily an offroad bike, you may feel like it's a little in way when you are standing up. Jul 15, 2014

Randy H: I don't think it will work with the tank you have. It does work on my 08 klr but it just has a regular locking gas cap. The main reason it works so well on my bike is I can mount it up high on the tank to give me room to stand up. I hope you find want your looking for. Jul 15, 2014

Thomas W: I have one on my KLR 650; it has a stock gas tank with a fairly flush gas cap with no vent line. It fits great on mine, but because the bag rests directly on the cap, you will have a huge problem due to the large screw and vent line. Jul 15, 2014

MARK R: This bag on a stock DR650 tank covers/overlaps 100% of the stock gas cap. I have to unhook the front straps and tilt the bag back to fill the tank. Don't see it working well with a high extended fuel vent line. Jul 15, 2014

MICHAEL J: This bag won't work, and I can't think of an that will with the setup that you've described.

James S: I purchased the Wolfman Blackhawk Tank Bag for a BMW G650 GS upon Wolfman's recommendation. Call Wolfman directly to find out if this tank bag will fit on a R1200RT. They will direct you accordingly. Then buy from RevZilla! Apr 30, 2014

Robert U: I have it on a 2014 GS and it fits great, the GS tank is sloped pretty steep towards the back. I wanted a smaller bag to hold maps and a few do-dads, this bag fits the bill great, Apr 30, 2014

Donato Y: the best bag for the rt is the bmw one that clips on trhe mount. the wolfman is less expensive, smaller and not waterproof but will work with the rain cover. Apr 30, 2014

Wayne M: I tried it on both my DRZ400S, and F800GS. I would say it was on the large side on my DRZ400S, which is comparable (perhaps slightly larger) to a WR250R. I would look at the Wolfman Enduro if you're looking for a better fit. I know a lot guys put that one on. Jul 13, 2014
