Female Buyer of Male Shoe
I originally wanted the female version of this shoe after a long amount of debate, only to find out they were out of stock everywhere.
After then debating between the waterproof and this version, I got these in the white, as I needed breath-ability and comfort during work, where I am always on my feet, moving, changing positions and working under the sun.
I wear between a female 8 and ordered these in a 6. They fit to a T and accommodated my wider feet easily. I put in the insoles I used in my other boots and they work beautifully now. I was sure without a heel it would be hard to re-affirm my position on my bike (I'm 5'0"), but really the super-flat sole helped with staying steady in the long run. I will say that the white gets dirty quickly but it adds to the distressed look.
I treated them with leather treatment to keep it soft and supple, but when it comes down to it, these are around-town street shoes. I would not take them on the freeway or to the twisties, as protection is minimal at best. Tying the ankles up tight makes them dig in and keeping them loose raises the chance of them getting torn off in a crash, so with that being said, it's up to you how much safety you want to sacrifice for comfort. For me and my needs, these were just what I was looking for.

Comfortable, look good
Comfy shoes, not much protection other than a little around the ankle. I swapped out the regular laces for some elastics that make them easy to slip on/off and keep the long laces that came in them out of moving parts. Good shoe for the price.

Stylish riding shoe with some protective features
I like these riding shoes.
1. All leather construction (and breathe reasonably well)
2. Sole is stiff enough to be comfortable on the bike
3. there is some protection in the ankle/heel/toe box (the toe box could be more robust IMHO)
4. they look good off the bike
note: other tcx boots have been described as wide, but I don't feel that this applies to these boots --they run more like a normal shoe in width; however, they did run large as I had to order 1 metric size smaller than I normally wear in my other footwear.
The shoes have gone through a treatment to give the boots a distressed look (fine with me since they would have that look after the first ride anyway). In doing so, TCX smeared something onto the white rubber sole to give it the grey appearance --it is somewhat greasy/slippery at first, but rubbed off after some daily use.

Awesome Boots
I picked up the denim version since I wanted something lightweight. Very nice. The denim is breathable and I can feel the air flow which is great. Since it is denim, it got torn up in some spots while it got caught on the foot peg of my kickstarter but such is life. The shoe fits big. I sized down half a size from 9.5 to 9 and maybe I could've gone down more. I'm thinking of picking up the waterproof version since it is that good!

Great shoe, inaccurate sizing chart
I recently purchased a pair of these and I love them. For a "converse" style shoe, they offer the expected level of protection. They're also much more comfortable then expected.
My only beef is with TCX's sizing chart. In US sizes, I'm a 9-9.5. So according to their sizing chart that would be a 43. I ordered these without referring to my other boots as a reference and it ended up costing me $12 in exchange shipping. The "size 9" was at LEAST a US 10. Here I am thinking they may be too small, and it turns out they were massively over-sized. Take heed, check your best fitting shoe first before ordering these and use the European size chart to order. The US conversion is waaaaaay off.

Great shoe
This shoe is a great alternate to a riding boot. I'm personally not a boot fan, so something with classic style like this shoe suits me well. It's very comfortable, and offers enough protection for the average cruiser/commuter. Heel protection is great, and ankle protection is sufficient. There's not quite as much protection in the toe box as I had hoped, but I believe is it more than sufficient for me. The shoe does fit a little small. I tipically wear a 10.5-11.5 depending on the make of the shoe, I went with a 10 and it fits perfect. Overall great shoe, comfortable enough to wear all day, and provides plenty of protection. The style is great, and the price is very reasonable!

Stylish shoes that act like boots
I bought these shoes to use when I commute to work or for short trips around town. Most boots I tried on looked as though I just signed up for space camp, got off the slopes in Aspen, or I was planning on taking on the MotoGP. I understand that safety and motorcycle style is the primary focus of riding gear manufacturers, but I wanted something a little less racey.
Before I ordered the shoe I was skeptic of the protection a product that looks like a sneaker would provide, but once I received the shoe my doubts were erased. The shoes are made from very thick and durable leather. My guess is the leather comes from cows that have been barraged with insults from the drill instructor R. Lee Ermy in Full Metal Jacket in order to get leather so thick and tough. The shoe is really stiff. The footbed, heel guard, and toe box are all very rigid, and the malleus (ankle) protector is perfectly placed and seems up to task. While the shoe is stiff, the interior is quite padded and comfortable. I normally wear a size 10.5, or 11 if I'm wearing Nike's, but I went with the 44 (size 10) since they don't offer half sizes. The fit seems perfect. I would definitely recommend ordering on the small size if you are unsure. When you have the shoe on it definitely feels like a snug hiking boot. They come with a shift guard that slips over the toes box so you don't damage your precious shoes on the upshifts, but I haven't used it yet. The shoes come in a "distressed" look as if they have already been broken in so I don't think a little added wear will affect the looks or durability of the shoe. Honestly I would buy a pair of these in non-motorcycle form to sport around. You may have to fend off the ladies though since they seem to be really attracted to the sleek styling and sturdy rugged exterior, but results may vary.
Overall I can't say enough about how happy I am with these boots/sneakers. Initially I intended to spend about half the price on a cheaper pair of boots, but am really glad I went the TCX-X street route instead. If you are looking for a dedicated touring boot, these might not be the best bet, but you already know that. If you are looking to keep it safe and sensual when you are out there on the streets, TCX-X streets are for you.

Great riding shoe.
I was looking for a shoe that would provide protection on my daily commute but still looked normal around the office. This shoe fit the bill perfectly. Most people think it's a regular sneaker. Comfortable enough to walk in and wear all day but still provides the necessary high-ankle support.
