GREAT RIDING SHOES FOR THE PRICE I got the boots from my Aunt in Las Vegas which I use here in Manila, Philippines. I was looking for a riding shoe that has that "STYLE" factor and not looking like a wanna be hardcore rider with full racing/touring boots. The looks are very stylish that can pass off as a normal sneakers but with the hint of a motorcycle rider for those in the know. The F1 style is also classy compared to just riding in just sneakers, looks very good paired with jeans. Works well in tropical temps and the airflow is excellent keeps your puppies dry and away from sweat. Overall highly recommended!!! November 16, 2015
Great Bang for the buck and comfortable! I would definitely buy another pair of these when the time comes. they are definitely a good buy for protection for your ankles! yes I do admit that they are a little stiff but I feel like that's a plus. great for riding but they are comfortable to walk around for a short while. November 10, 2015
Love them look good They are freaking awesome boots they are super shift friendly love them!!! Best grip ever !! November 5, 2015
Protective, comfortable, breathable. Finally a sigh of relief from my feet. I can feel the airflow through these as I ride, yet I know I am still protected. These are very comfortable, light, and look great. Very happy with these boots. Excellent for hot Southern California days. October 28, 2015
This shoe is kind of stiff at start. Overall look, it looks nice and comfy. Bought it for about 2 and a half month now and it's pretty good. Too bad Minnesota is getting kind of cold now so didn't really get to put it to use that much but I am liking it so far. It's my first time reviewing something so don't really know what to say other then if you're looking for something stylish then this is the shoe. October 27, 2015
Goot boot for the bucks. The boots are comfortable and stylish. The fit was true-to-size. I wear a nine and these fit nicely. The velcrow strap is a bit cumbersome as it gets in the way when you try to tie the laces. But once the laces are tied the strap holds the knot in place nicely. I ride a 2014 Yamaha FZ1 and the boots compliment this type of bike. They would probably look strange on a cruiser or V-Twin type bike. October 20, 2015
Excellent sport touring boot I do not wear boots very often as the comfort and fit are very uncomfortable for me. I have a narrow foot that wears size 11 shoes. The TCX is very light weight boot that offers great comfort on and off the bike. The boot is so light you do not know you are wearing protective boots. My feet do not sweat at all during the summer riding in 85 deg weather with 75% humidity. The style is more European or Canadian due to the low profile and sport look. I like the low profile as it allows for easy use of foot controls. I never seem to have trouble shifting or breaking. I did wear them is a major rain storm and my feet got wet. I have now sprayed them with a waterproof sealer. Have not had a chance to test this is actual weather. I didn't notice that they had a waterproof version, that I should have purchased. Overall a great light weight breathable shoe. Highly recommended. September 7, 2015
TCX X Boots I got these for short rides in town, where I needed to walk around, etc. I find these boots/shoes comfortable even with extended walking. They are short and no ankle protection in a fall but for what they are made for, excellent item. September 7, 2015

C A: Functionality over price, great style. Nov 26, 2015
S N: Best boots you can buy for hot weather. These are comfortable for riding and they offer up a great set of safety. I haven't laid it down to find out but they are a bit on the stiff side to wear but I feel like that's a plus. they are a great fit if you know your shoe size! Definitely a recommendation from me. ABIMAEL C: based on good reviews and confort Oct 23, 2015
A S: Great summer boots with plenty of protection and you can wear them around off the bike without issues. Sole can be slick on wet pavement or oil spots but it's a street shoe so I. Can't complain. Vents enough to keep your foot dry in summer when you are moving. Good feel for shifting and raking as well. Sticks to the pegs on my CRF259 pretty well for street shoes. Stick better to street bike pegs (obviously) Oct 20, 2015

Matthew T: Love these boots and for only 120 they were a steal! Fit great, don't make your feet sweat in hot weather and provide necessary protection for casual street riding! I wear a 7.5 to 8 usually in tennis shoes but needed the size 7 for these to make them fit snug like I wanted. Sep 24, 2015

Rhoda S: I was looking for a comfortable shoe that was not too bulky. It was between these and alpinestars FASTER shoe. I picked these because they look like the provide a lil more protection and also many reviewers said that the FASTER was very narrow and hurt their toes so I decided to go with these instead! :D Sep 10, 2015

RENE S: Because of the good reviews, price and because they looked good Aug 17, 2014
Evans O: Again, these look good just like the Dainese Textile pants I ordered. They are low profile and will surely go well with a range of riding pants including the Dainese I ordered. They are also the vented pair meaning I shouldn't feel like my feet are heating up while riding. I live in a region that experiences scorching summers. This pair is my first proper motorcycle riding shoes I have bought so I needed something low key, again, and something that can be used comfortably on and off the bike. Aug 10, 2014
Justin W: Light weight and the styling. Grip is great too! Aug 8, 2014
Clifton L: Looks, style ce certification Jul 2, 2014

Lazaro F: I just use them today for the first time , awesome , very comfortable , and great explanation by Anthony, thanks man . Mar 20, 2014
Alexander K: I was looking for footwear which offers good protection but doesn't break the bank. TCX seems to provide just that. I was torn between these boots and the regular X-Square. The reason I chose these over the regular X-Square was because they seem to have a little less of a strictly motorcycle shoe look. Which means I can wear them off the bike after a ride and feel comfortable. I am a bit disappointed this boot doesn't offer a shift pad but the regular X-Square does... Mar 18, 2014
Robert G: I was looking for a pair of everyday commuter riding boots that gave me some protection but are comfortable enough to wear all day. For a beginner they aren't extremely expensive which is a bonus. Mar 13, 2014
Robert S: I wanted some boots that were slightly above the ankles and super light weight with airflow. The TCX line has the basic not-so-flashy scheme with a pinch of "I'm serious about riding" that I enjoy. And the price on them doesn't seem quite as marked up as some of the over-popular brands like Alpinestar, etc. Feb 25, 2014
Tony S: I liked Anthony's review of the original and thought these newer versions might be the right ones for me. I'll follow up with a review once I get them Feb 12, 2014
Alexander K asked: Is the tongue of this boot mesh or breathable? When I look at the picture of the white version it is mesh and it looks like it would breath. However the black version looks solid like it is waterproof. I'm look for something for the summer that breathes. May 14, 2014

John M: I am enjoying these boots that fit extremely well. The lining is a perforated mesh that looks like it breaths. The tongue exterior looks more like suede and is the same material as the rest of the boot. My feet have not been hot but I can't tell you that I feel air blowing through them. I bought for the same reason as you. I am pleased that they are comfortable to walk around in when stopped. I am riding to the beach this weekend and will have a better perspective.

Robert G: The back of the tongue is red mesh, but I'm not sure what the outside of the tongue is, sorry. I'm a college student and they are back home. I can say that they are extremely comfortable and supportive and I have no problem wearing them in summer weather. Hope this helps! May 14, 2014

Jason T: Tongue is soft suede on the outside, breathable mesh on the inside. We haven't had any super hot days up in the northeast yet, but I can feel the air coming into the boots when riding. May 15, 2014

A shopper asked: Hi All,

I'm brand new to riding and so may have a lot and LOT of questions coming up. These boots seem to be perfect for me as a starter (not implying that they're starter boots but rather fit my budget right now) but I have a question about wear, particularly on the left toe area where shifting will occur. Anybody have any thoughts/experience to share on how resistant they are to wear in that area?

Thank you all for your time and I look forward to your answers!

Jermaul W: Hello Bret,

I have had my tcx sport boots for less then a year they are really comfortable. They are actually stylish to wear when your off riding and walking around. For the left shoe that shifter rubber is a great material and for a year that I've had it there is not wear or tear. Overall my decision on getting these over others shoes are the rating and the comfortable as well as the protection.

wiley a: I love these boots.....they are comfortable and look good...red matches my Multistrada (LOL)....i ride mainly on weekends and try to log 100-150 every week....i have about 5K on these boots and they show no wear at all on the left shifter foot. Since i live in AZ i do not have much "wet weather" time on boots...they may have been in 1-2 sprinkles so i cannot attest to how they would fare in slush.

hope that helps

Andrew B: Hey Bert,
I got these boots as my first pair when I started riding last year. I wanted something that offered more protection than a tennis shoe but I wasn't willing to pay top dollar for a full riding boot. All I can say in response to your question is that mine have held up great so far. Granted I have a shorter riding season than some living in Wisconsin, but they seem like they are ready for the long haul.

Michael S: These boots wear really well and offer good protection. I really like that they are built to not scuff up your bike where they rub on the bike. Excellent feeling for shifting with sufficient padding and protection for street riding. I highly recommend these boots. Apr 3, 2015

Dear customers,
It can be use warm water and bush to cleaning the shifting area. It could be easy to release the dirt and keep refresh that area.

John H asked: How thick are the soles on these? I had a pair of AlpineStars Faster that looked very similar, though I found the soles too thin and my feet would start getting sore after 20-30 minutes. Oct 25, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
peter k: I took a look at mine this morning. The soles go from about 1/4 inch at the front of the boot thickening to about 1/2 inch towards the heel. I've ridden with them for 30 - 40 minutes without any discomfort. They are very narrow boots.. Oct 26, 2015

John M: Don't know that I would describe the soles as thick but ridged. I also use an orthotic insole and they are very comfortable. Oct 25, 2015

Takeshi D: The soles are thin-ish, but I commute to work in mine and wear them all day without problems. Oct 30, 2015

Kevin G asked: In the video, Anthony said that the logo on the black version's tongue is reflective, that's a nice touch. The white version looks like its just red stitching but was curious if anyone knows if the silver panel on the back heel area of the white version is reflective? From the pictures, it looks like it is, and I would rather have that for safety. Jan 14, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Matthew P: Kevin, I cannot speak to the white version as I have the black ones, but I can tell you that the part on the heel that does not change between the two styles, (The small "u" like sliver above where the black changes to white) is extremely reflective. In fact I remember taking a picture of my dog one time and my boots were in the back ground and the flash coming off of the heels was impressive.
With that being said, I can speak to the comfort of these shoes, even tho you didnt ask, but Im here typing so I might as well... They are awesome shoes. I have worn them all day before and have never experienced any discomfort. The only thing I noticed was that the insole starts to move its way out of the shoe, but this is something that can be fixed with a few dabs of super glue.
If that white area that you ask about is not reflective, that would not turn me away from this product. Overall this is a great boot, and honestly, that little bit of reflective material is not going to be a life changer. I would assume that your jacket would have reflective piping on it and reflection on a jacket would weigh much heavier on me vs reflection on a boot, simply for the fact that drivers look up and out, not down at the road (where your feet are). Hope this helps, Ride safe
Jan 14, 2015
Reply to Matthew Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Kevin G: Thanks Matthew for the insight. I see what you mean about the reflective U shaped section that is on the back of both color versions. I agree that my jacket is a better source of reflectivity, but if the white ones add even more to my gear setup then the more the merrier! It sounds like these are really comfortable shoes and provide good protection, I think I will get the white and reply back about the reflectivity. Jan 14, 2015
Reply to Kevin Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Takeshi D: I own the black pair, and if they are similarly constructed, I would bet only the U-shaped silver piece on the "white" version is reflective; otherwise, why have it on the white version as well if that bigger heel piece was also reflective?

That little piece alone is highly reflective so I don't think you could go wrong either way.

Alexander K asked: How does the protection on this boot compare to the TCX Street? Better, less or about the same? May 27, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Alan B: Unfortunately I have never tried on the TCX Street boot but I will tell you I love these TCX X-Square Sport Boots. I am a street rider. No track riding. For street riding they are awesome. They have the perfect amount of flex and lots of support. The fit is perfect all around. Extremely comfortable in the heel, arch & toe box. I ride a GSX-R 750 and they fit perfectly on the pegs and allow me to shift and brake very comfortably. I like the fact that I can feel the rear brake pedal through the sole. The price point is unbeatable. I strongly recommend these boots for everyday street riding. May 28, 2014

Andrew F: Hi,
I just purchased these, and only wore them a half dozen times.
I find them to be very comfortable. I wear a size 10.5 mens, and have a wide foot. I ordered the size 11, and find they fit me great.
As far as protection, they are not a heavy duty, over padded boot.
However, I feel that the boot will serve the purpose for normal day street riding, and provide adequate protection. Good grip to the pavement too.
I have never had the TCX Street, so I can't compare.
They are light, and comfortable.
You can actually walk around with these.
I like them, and the price is right.

Ryan K asked: Howdy All,

So last year I bought a pare of CX X-Square Boots and in that time i've put about 10,000 miles on them. I've enjoyed my time with them but it's time to move on. Well if I'm honest i've basically destroyed them so I need to get something new. About 5,000 miles into their life I found that the left sole (or what ever that part is that gives the boot it's stiffness had actually snapped. About a months later the right boot did the same thing. For months I would walk around and feel the two half's rubbing against one another like tectonic plates and literally just today I saw that it had split out of the rubber sole. All in all I found the experience a little annoying and the only reason i can think of why it happened is because I ALWAYS ride on my toes. The split in the sole happened right were the stress would be greatest when riding like that.

So my apologies for this long intro but my question is... If i get these boots am i going to end up messing them up because of the way i ride or do you think these "new and improved" versions will hold up?
May 11, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Villeneuve H: That's a good quality and most sensible riding boot.

Over all performance is excellent, the only way to improve is the left and right shoe's head can add a rubber cushion for gear chage use that would be more precise. Over score for this boot would be 9.5.

Brandon C asked: I wear a size 12 in gym shoes but I have a wide foot. Those that have wide feet and went up a half size did they fit perfect or did you wish you went true to your size? I'm torn between if I should I go with the size 46 (12) or go with the 47 (12 1/2).

Thanks for your help

Michael S: I wear a 9 1/2 or a 10 and the 9 1/2 worked best for me in this boot. I would say that the width of my foot is not on the wide side. May 21, 2015

Dominick c asked: In terms of protection, should i go with these X Square Sports, or the new A* faster? May 31, 2014

peter k: I've been wearing these for a few months and while I like them they seem less protective than other ankle-length books I have. Hopefully I won't have to test them.

A shopper asked: I've never purchased boots or shoes from on-line due to the concern about it's size and fit
I usually wear a us size 7 for my snickers and they are hair on the big side. Size 6.5 would be a perfect for us shoe size
but too narrow and tight if was european size because I have wide and small feet
What size of this product would you recommend for me? 39 or 40?

peter k: These are the narrowest and smallest boots I have ever bought. They fit tightly and I'm hoping that they will stretch out a bit, but if I had been trying them on in a store, I'd probably have bought the next size larger.

Joseph H: I wear a 9.5 US so I bought 44 and it turned out great. By the same logic I would go with 40. Can always return and exchange later. Feb 20, 2014

Alexander K: It's interesting that you say that. I also wear a 9.5 in US. A bought a 44 and I think they are a bit big. I was contemplating exchanging them for a 43 but a full size down might be pushing it. My recommendation is to find a shop that sells a similarly boot (European sized) and try that on so you can find if these are going to be a good fit. Mar 21, 2014
Rene D: We apparently have the same feet. I wear size 7 and can fit in 6.5. I bought size 40 and they are thight!!! You'll never fit in 39 go for size 40. May 27, 2014
