Can't beat the price! At first, these boots were a bit odd to walk around in as well as ride - it just took some getting used to, as well as adjustment of the shifter height on my cruiser. After a week or so of riding and walking in them all day at work, they were broken in and I'm really enjoying them. Great protection, and they take leather shine like no other! I really like the velcro zipper feature, and it's waterproofing is...waterproof! Yes they can be a bit warm, but knowing you're getting a waterproof tall boot, that's something you need to take as a trade-off. Sizing chart was spot on, if anything I should've even gotten a half size smaller. May 11, 2015
Good but not amazing... Pros: Boots look good and feel secure. It does exactly what it advertises. Nice bang for the buck. Cons: Riding my Suzuki GSX R-750 changing gears requires more attention, because the front of the boots "big toe" it's too high, and you have to lean more to reach under the pedal. It doesn't bother at all when I ride my Suzuki M109R. Maybe I'm asking too much of it, what I want is something I can ride and wear all day too. I'm doing this for the past 3 weeks and it looks like the boots are breaking in a little bit, which makes them much more comfortable but still bothering my calfs even when I have high socks on. Overall I like the boots, never had any riding boots before so this is my first experience too. I would recommend it for any bike style but sport racing like GSX-R or R6, R1 etc. Ride safe my friends. May 4, 2015
Overall Good Product I brought this as my commute boots. Does the job, comfortable to wear but no airflow. Seems to be good in 65 degree Fahrenheit in sunny California. April 6, 2015
Good commuter boots These boots are clean looking, simple to get on and off and comfortable enough to walk in. I was looking for a mid height waterproof boot for my 30 minute work commute and these fit my need well. Although I've only had then a short time they seem well made and provide good footing on the road when stop at a light. I'm pleased with the value of he boot for the price. March 23, 2015
These are good on and off the bike I've put at least 1000 miles on these boots so far, I haven't been tracking. There IS a break in period concerning walking in them off the bike, but on the bike I haven't noticed any difference between now and the first time I put them on. I ride to college 80 miles a day and I probably walk a mile or more. I haven't rubbed a single blister, but they are a little stiff in the ankles until they get good and loosened up. I can comfortably walk, bend and stoop/squat on my haunches in these now. It's mainly the stiff top grain leather in the ankle that needs breaking in. One thing I would mention is that if you have skinny legs you'll have to really use that velcro closure to get the top of the boot close to your skin. If you've got tree trunks for shins I wouldn't worry about it. Overall I love these boots. I've walked a few miles in them and the soles look brand new, which gives me hope for durability. I've ridden in the rain and my feet stay warm and dry. If your feet are constantly hot I wouldn't wear these in the peak of summer, but they're definite 4 season if you don't require massive ventilation for comfort. They've got great styling, conservative branding and I can get my jeans over top of them. January 8, 2015
Great product for the money I have put about a 1500 miles on these boots, and I am very pleased with them. Comfortable for walking when not on the bike, which is more important than one would think. It is not just the journey, but enjoying the destination too! I have had boots in the past that were great on the bike, but terrible off of it. I even leave them on when I ride into work most days, as they are comfortable around the office. These are well made, and still look brand new. I have ridden in pretty low temps (upper 20s), and they aren't the warmest boots, but when matched up with some good wool socks, they are tolerable. On the other end of the temp spectrum, they do tend to get a bit hot, but for the protection they offer and the fact that they are waterproof, that is really to be expected. I was a little disappointed when I first received them, as the sole isn't as firm as on the boots I have had in the past, so I thought that they would probably not last long, or would show wear quickly. I have been pleasantly surprised with the toughness of the sole, and the fact that they haven't started showing any real wear at all. I have one slight scrub mark from putting a foot down on a slight skid, but that is about it. These are the first TCX boots I have had, but they definitely won't be my last! Great quality, great price for what you get, and nice styling that doesn't look terribly out of place off the bike. They are riding boots, so you can tell they are riding boots, but the low key coloring and subdued textures make them as "stealth" as possible, really. I have tried the "riding shoes" on the market before, and they just don't give you the same level of protection as real boots, so I think that these are the sweet spot. Highly recommend! snug, but comfortable riding and walking around in they fit snug, but they are easy to get on/off, there comfortable to wear on the bike and walking around, so far they seem very durable. i'm very satisfied with them, If your in between they're suggested sizes I would say to g o with the larger size. Great look and fit for riding These are my first pair of any kind of boots. I really like the style and fit for riding. They feel very sturdy on the ground when I come to a stop. But I can't see myself wearing these the whole day though. There isn't much flexibility at all. Also, the reflector piece in the back doesn't seem to blend in to the style. September 3, 2014

Paul W: Was looking for boots with protection in the ankles, and that came higher up the shin than my leather work boots... but without going all the way up to my knee like full race boots. I've found these to be comfy and give good feedback on the pegs. May 11, 2015
James M: Good Day ride boots. I have another pair for more adventure oriented rides. I use these onlt for the street. Comfortable boot to walk in after arriving at the destination. May 6, 2015

Nathan W: I needed a mid height, water proof boot for commuting in cold/wet weather. I looked at the X-miles, but I didn't like the idea of an all velcro closure. These looked like they might be a little tighter around the leg, but we'll see. Nov 2, 2014
Paul E: they look good, and have the properties i'm looking for. Aug 8, 2014
Ron W: I was looking for a boot to wear around town. I have TCX's adventure boot which I love, it is just a bit much when running to the store. The x-ride look perfect for commuting, around town and day trips. Jun 5, 2014

Frank I: These boots met all of the criteria I was looking for in a riding boot, and the video review on Revzilla helped me to make my decision; I have a wide foot, and it was stated that the size I ordered would accommodate a wide foot! Thanks for the help! May 21, 2014
Marc W: Great value! Arch shaft, ankle guards and reinforced toe. Smooth heel transition works great and won't allow your foot to hang up when you want or need to put it on the ground. Jan 19, 2014

Paul W: I was wondering the same thing. Protection wise, anybody know how the XRide stacks up against the XMiles. They look a little different, but I'm curious if the heel and shin protections the same in both. Jun 11, 2014

Lewis S asked: Can someone provide me with exact boot height of the x-ride would boots? Thanks Dec 4, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Colin W: Not sure if sizing has any impact on the height of the boot but measuring the outside of the boot at the heel from the floor up I get 22 cm. From the inside of the boot up to the same edge I get about 18 cm. The front edge of the boot is about 2 cm higher. My boots are US size 11. Great boot for the money. Dec 4, 2014

Marc W: Lewis,
I wear a size 10 and the height of the shaft from the bottom of the heel is 10 inches at the highest point. There is a padded cut out of about a half inch for your shin forward position. Hope this helps. Sorry so late.

Tom C: Max height from ground to the top is 9-3/4". They are pretty stiff, but can be compressed 1/2" easily, or down to 8" height with more effort, if you are trying squeeze them into a space. Height from foot sole to top is 8". Dec 5, 2014
