Speed and Strength Tough as Nails Leather Vest
Excellent Style and Performance
I am a daily rider, with motorcycle as my only form of transportation, and I live in Myrtle Beach, so it can get pretty hot down here. Purchased this vest about a month ago, and I love it. It breathes very well, and the style of the vest is great. I have people asking where I got it everywhere I go. My only complaint would be the two exterior pockets are very small. I can only fit my keys, and maybe a lighter in them, but the interior pocket is much larger, can fit all I need in there. Other than the small exterior pockets, this is a fantastic vest

Not enough pockets
Although I love my vest the two front pockets aren't big enough to hold my wallet and there is only one internal pocket.

Best vest ever
Great vest. Has a mad max look to it. Very heavy leather with lots of adjustable tabs.

Good for newbies
It was my first vest and it was exactly what I was looking for. It could not be the only one in your wardrobe but it is definitely value for money.

excellent choice for the money
This is a great vest, and above average quality leather and craftsmanship. The airflow is less than some other lightweight leathers but that's because of the thicker leather.
The Spine protection for what it's worth on a vest is cool; hopefully we'll never need to test it. If I had to change anything, it would be another pocket as the front pockets are small and you only have 1 inside pocket. Also, I would make it a little less tapered, especially given it has lockdown adjustments on the sides. It is a little snug around the waist but banking on a little give and stretch with the wear.

Great product, great fit, great price
Just got this vest yesterday, and already rode 100 miles in it. Really loving it! I'm 5'8", 165 lbs, 39 inch chest. I ordered a medium [since there is no size chart on Revzilla for this product, I went to the S&S website to see their size chart, which is WAY off.. they recommend a size 40 chest to get an XL, which I would be swimming in]
High quality leather, high quality zippers, and high quality velcro straps for side adjustment. The back protector is VERY good quality, much better than the thin p.o.s that came with my RevIt Airwave- it's very flexible but provides good protection. Does prevent a bit of airflow when it's in place, but thats the price you pay for protection.
Already got a few compliments on the vest, from "Game of Thrones" looking, to "Mad Max" looking, to "Undertaker from WWF" looking.. I'll take what I can get nowadays.
I'd recommend this vest. I have 2 other vests that are more "western" looking- SOA style, with flap pockets, but this is much more modern and urban style. I could wear it over a hoodie while out at a bar and not feel like i'm in riding gear. I'll be wearing this all summer, and even in the fall over my riding jacket.
Minimal branding, only one small rubberized patch on the bottom of the back.. not overly branded like the S&S Hard Knock Life vest. Great to add your own patches to, or keep it plain. Matches my denim black Street Bob very well.

Great protection for a vest
FIT- I'm female, athletic build (lean muscle - not totally flat belly but close) - 38C bra size and 30 inch waist in levi's jeans - 28 inch waist at belly button. I purchased this vest in small and the fit is good. The adjustments along the torso are snug and leave me plenty of adjustability in either direction. The chest is not too tight or loose for me. It leaves an inch or so...enough to be able to wear a leather jacket under - which would fit fairly snuggly - and not too much room that if flaps around when I wear just a shirt under. I do have broad shoulders like a swimmer - and if I didn't I would think the shoulders would stick out some.
I bought this vest as a "the least protection I'm willing to ride with" hot Texas summer (100 degrees and over) solution. It works as that (since we have already had a couple days like that). There's not a lot of perf so your lower torso might get a bit hot at lights.
The features that were important to me specifically are leather with smartly places perforation (not in the impact area) abrasion resistance and the pocket for the back protector. I did buy a back protector - since spin protection is important to me..
This vest looks really good - not feminine - which I prefer actually because the girly stuff out there often compromises on protection and is pink, purple, or leopard print (yuck to all). Fits nicely and I have received complements about it looking sexy on me - which is a bonus - put not all that important to me.
The three pockets are plenty for what I carry (glasses in hard case, wallet, iphone, garage door opener) but if I generally carried a purse it would not likely fit much of what would be in a purse.
Overall this is a very well made product - some have said they wanted the back protector to come with it but I'm cool with having to purchase that separately because I got to choose what brand (SAS-TEC) without feeling like I paid for something that I would replace with something I felt was better. I think the price is right for the quality of the materials.

As a summary right off the bat, this vest is absolutely amazing!
One of the things I was concerned about when I bought the vest online was whether it had pockets or not, and let me reassure you: "YES! it has 3" (which you'll see in the photos below). There's one on either side of the vest and one left breast pocket. All of which are quite ample in space as I stashed my phone, wallet, some cash, headphones, and smokes in them. And by the way, all pockets have zippers so your stuff doesn't fly off unexpectedly.
Another concern of mine was the perforated leather pattern around the zipper, abdomen, and back of the neck, but that passed through with flying colours! It rained somewhat heavily the first time I was wearing the vest, but when I pulled over, the shirt I had underneath was dry except for the sleeves, of course.
The inner lining of the back of vest can be unzipped so it's perfect for stitching on your patches or club colours straight onto the leather. Also, the KNOX spine protector's pocket is quite handy for any "cool" packs or "camel" hydration packs if you're on a long ride in the heat.
On a final note, I would highly recommend this vest. All my fellow riders were impressed by it because it's unique, useful, and -definitely- badass!
I hope this helps. Keep the rubber on the road!
