Speed and Strength SS1700 Lock and Load Modular Helmet
Great for beginners.
I purchased this helmet as a new rider, and I'm very happy with it. As far as helmets go this one is pretty great for the price.
I have nothing bad to say about it, I gave it four stars because it's all around good, five stars to me would be a helmet that completely blows my mind.
It's pretty heavy, but that's not a problem to me. Especially when you're riding you don't think much about the weight, and the wind lifts it some, in my opinion.
It's easy enough to remove the face shield (Do keep track of the parts and how they fit in though). And the internal visor covers my field of view very well without touching my face at all.
For the price, it's probably the best full face helmet there is. Along with the features it boasts, it's a good deal.

this helmet runs really small, had to swap up a size.

Great Helmet for the price
This helmet is great for the price.
Modular at a great price
Shield is definitely nicely water/air tight when riding through the rain.
The Shield fogs pretty easily and the airflow is not enough to keep up with it until you hit about 40MPH
Wish there was one more detent closer to closed as one detent open is very open. when trying to defog the shield
Wish there was some ear padding There is hard plastic where your ears end up and can be annoying.
Overall I am very happy with the helmet for the price I think it is exactly what I was expecting and is a nice helmet. It is decently quiet I just wish I could find a pinlock for it to fix the fogging issues.

First ride 800 miles
Took this on a tour of the Alps. So 800 miles to break it in and spent most of the time trying to figure out why it was hurting my ears. Couldn't figure out how to remove the chin skirt which made it a little warm. Shield needs to have an additional notch for open position. Hard to find a ece rated modular helmet in my price range. Now that it is broken in hopefully I can figure out the pain in my ears and continue to use it. Other than that I would recommend it.

Nice helmet for the money.
I only have about 500 miles on this helmet at this point but so far I'm giving it a thumbs up. It's a nice lid for the money and has performed well. Airflow could be a bit better but it's not bad.
One note on the fitment that may help someone. I also have an AFX FX-140 and the SS1700 fits my noggin a lot better. The AFX is a large size but it's quite tight on my jaw bones. The SS1700 is a medium and it's a lot more comfortable in that area - but definitely not loose. It's an individual fitment thing but this product does seem to have a bit more room in that area.
Overall this is a nice enough helmet for occasional riding/commuting and the pricing allowed me to buy some other safety gear.

Speed and Strength
Overall good quality helmet for the price. Previously, I used a Nolan helmet but chose this one due to the lower price and good reviews.
I'm satisfied with my purchase, only improvement that I see is the locking mechanism takes some force to snap shut. I figure this will be easier after a little wear and use.

When I bought this helmet given the measurement it was recommended that I buy a large as I measured 23" however that helmet felt extremely tight. I ended up moving up to the XXL and that was a lot more comfortable still a little tight but should break in and be perfect. On top of that the first 2 helmets I received had the shell separating from the inner portions of the helmet; although Revzilla's customer support worked with me and got me a solid product. I really like the chin strap setup and the drop down visor everything I need in a helmet and not needing to wear sunglasses in the helmet, much more comfortable without them.

Best Modular Under $200
I prefer modular because of their convenience when communicating without Bluetooth. I use it for all four seasons and can easily operate every feature with heavy gloves on. DVD aka Drop Down Visor is great and fits my perfectly. Eliminates the need for sunglasses.
Seems to be set up for pin lock, but I cannot get a confirmation anywhere.
Airflow isn't great, but it's adequet. I don't sweat in this helmet in the summer (Over 100 degrees F here), or freeze in the winter (Under 20 degrees F here).
