Speed and Strength Seven Sins Hi-Viz Textile Jacket
For a simple, high-viz, armored jacket, look no further.
What was it that sold me on this jacket? The price, the high visibility yellow, and the quality from a trustworthy brand.
A potential buyer of this jacket has obviously put leather jackets aside, and they also dont care about 'looking cool'. There is a greater purpose behind this specific jacket. Not only to offer decent protection, but to offer the benefit of being seen.
With that said, its a decent all around mild to warm weather riding jacket. Its textile, with a removable inner liner (which i have removed for these warm months of riding), and has two air flow vents just over each bicep. It comes with elbow, shoulder and back protection which are removable and interchangeable for your liking. Pockets offer decent space for misc items. Zippers can be a little finicky at times, but if you dont rush opening and closing them you wont have any issues.
At 6'2'', and 175lbs, i purchased a large. It feels a tiny bit large through the torso as i am a little on the skinny side, as well as feeling a little short in overall body length because of my height, but a medium would be way to small, and a XL would be way to big. Even with that, the jacket is very maneuverable, and snugs up tightly when i put all of my other gear on. Every now and then when riding at faster speeds, the jacket gets air in it, slightly ballooning, but its not huge complaint or distraction. And if youre not as skinny as I am you wont have a problem.
In the heat, i wont lie, you still will sweat a little. But thats if you are stuck at speeds less than 15mph, or in traffic. Once moving, you will stay cool enough to not be distracted from riding. Remember though, what jacket wont be a little warm in the middle of summer? When I rode with this jacket on a sub 60 degree cool night, I will say wear more than a tanktop underneath to keep warmer.
Negatives include: Lack of more cooling zippers. Depending on what you carry, a lack of pockets. Zippers, you just gotta take your time and not rush to zip them, they can get caught in the material. Not waterproof, but thats not really a true downfall, because it was never meant to be.
In the end, id still recommend this jacket to anyone, especially new riders. I wear it every time i hop on the bike. I cant tell you how many times friends of mine has come back and told me "if it wasnt for that jacket, i wouldnt have noticed you ride by". That alone is worth the price. Speaking of price, its perfect for an entry level textile jacket that includes the back, elbow and shoulder protection.

The high viz is cool looking and not super dorky like most high viz jackets. The fit is great, I am 6'1 195lbs, more on the pudgy side than the muscular side, and I got the large, and it's perfect. Vents could be better but overall it's a great buy!

A great jacket for the price
I got this jacket for a great deal as part of my new hi-viz ensemble. The jacket fits well (I'm just shy of 6 feet tall and weigh 180 lbs--I ordered a medium).
The pockets are in a good location and they zip UP to open instead of down--I thought that was a nice touch. The interior pocket is spacious.
I feel like the adjustment strap on the waist is only OK. The Velcro proportions are a bit off and I don't get to use it to it's full potential if that makes sense.
I dig the color and the jacket is comfortable.
I replaced the stock back protector with a SAS-TEC one and it fit just fine.
If I could change something on the jacket I would like to have an adjustment for the mid-arm area so that I could tighten it a bit.
The jacket feels like it flows a lot of air--but this is my first textile jacket.
I took a spill in the jacket--very low speed--and while I was uninjured, the jacket got a small hole where it tore at a seam. I was a little disappointed.

The product is good for the price
I would recommend better airflow and storage pockets on the sleeves. Lastly, an upgrade to the protection areas.

very good jacket-excellent price.
Jacket is very well made and fits good. I am 6'1 and 195 and a large fits fine. It is a little smaller then my large size Joe Rocket Nova 2.0, but still fits good. Jacket seems light and warm with the liner in. The high viz is a good option, get noticed more easily. Good buy, can't find a better jacket for under $100.

SOLID Jacket for the price
Wish this jacket had more pockets, and a more robust back pad. But hey for the money I can't really ask for better. Of course, slid out on a train rail not one week after I got it and it protected me just fine...front of the jacket just got a bit scraped up. Shoulder pads worked like a charm

Excellent protection for little cost
Bought this jacket for its Hi Viz and the fact that it was on closeout. I must say that I am very very happy with the protection the jacket offers. I layed a KLR650 down in some gravel and took most of the impact on my shouler and elbow but barely felt it and no bruising. My legs which just barely bumped the sides of the bike and the foot peg were bruised terribly, prompting a purchase of protective pants.
The airflow is great when riding, but additional vents on the checst would be better. It is instant sweat as soon as you are not moving though.
The comfort isn't the best, but it isn't uncomfortable at all, just feels slightly awkward once off the bike. On the bike with your shoulders down the jacket sits perfectly, it's just a little off when stting up or standing. The fitment in general was well suited to my mildly overweight frame without feeling constricted OR showing my gut.
This jacket really isn't for syle. Though I personally like the syle of many Speed and Strength products, the hi viz is a bit gaudish.

hi viz and cheap
very affordable jacket, has elbow, shoulder and back protections, and is very visible.
i have other S&S jackets and the only difference is this one does not have straps to tighten the forearm.
it is a very good deal, i'm super happy with it
