Great value for the price!
I'm a first-time rider and this is the first helmet I've purchased. I ride a '03 KLR and I'm planning more DS riding this season. I bought the white Sparx Nexxus.
The field of view is great. A minimal head turn and you can check your blind spots. The extended chin feature might bump your shoulder, but doesn't impede movement. Besides how often are you riding with your head turned sideways?? The flip up face shield is great. It slides well enough out of the field of view to wear sunglasses or whatever and its easy to pop open and close at lights, traffic, etc. There is one small distraction: around sunrise and sunset there can be a small reflection in the front right/left angle of view. It think it's due to the shape. Again, it ain't gonna last too long, just that start/finish of daylight.
The ventilation is great. I ride in CO so I can't speak to it performing in really humid conditions. But even on cold mornings, with the chin vent closed, it fogged up for a second at a stoplight, but cleared up in a moment. It never fully fogged up. The chin vent helps on colder rides. I didn't notice too much difference with the top vents open/closed but I've a good amount of hair.
The fit is very comfortable, but this is entirely subjective as everyone has a different shaped head. The removable pads are a great feature and make it easy to get the right fit. The chin strap is very comfortable. There is a small draft around the chin but a collared shirt/mask would be fine. I rode in the Rocky Mountains for hours and it never bothered me.
The weight seems good to me. Again, I'm a first time buyer, but it doesn't make my neck sore. I will be sore after riding in heavy CO crosswinds in the peaks/canyons, but thats impossible to avoid.
Ok, the visor. I read a ton of reviews of people complaining about the wind resistance. Its a visor. Of course theres gonna be Some resistance. I've been up to Very high speeds for a mile, into a headwind, just to see how it preforms and I can't say the helmet feels like its pulling my head around. Theres a small amount wind sound but its not annoying at all. I've rode my tank dry and barely noticed. If you want a silent and soundproof ride, stick to 4 wheels with glass.
And Sparx has a helmet policy and I think this is how it works: register it and if you crash, write up a review, save the registration policy, and they'll get you another. Done. Can't beat that.
Thats the review folks. Hope it helps. Hope your rides are long and free-winding hills and canyons.
Cheers

Like the way the sheild has a friction slide anjd did not go up evan in strong winds
The only problem that i have had is my ears hit the top padding, both side ear pads are large and i tried to fold them over the top pad. Did not work My right ear also hurt after a while, iremoved all pads and found the ear cover was sticking out so i cut it off and cut down the ear pads to fit into there pocket. Seems to be fitting alot better now.

Good DS style helmet - no frills, gets the job done.
I pre-ordered this helmet immediately when I saw that Revzilla had the video review up and I saw the run-down on the helmet. I had been thinking about a DS style helmet and had been waiting for SparX to build one since I have three S-07 helmets - they fit me very well.
The Nexxus fits very similar to the S-07 as stated in the review. One difference I noticed right away was the much smaller ear pockets on the Nexxus. The cheek/head pads don't have a deep pocket for speakers (I wouldn't try it) - but I don't know if any other DS style helmets have deep ear pockets to compare.
The helmet is comfortable for me and I took the same size in the Nexxus as I do in my S-07 helmets. That is size Small. In other brands I take a Medium I believe - SparX has always run large for their size in my opinion.
Venting/Airflow: The helmet vents very well. The open chin area of course lets in a lot of air on its own and the top vent channels move a good bit of air which I can feel on my shaved head in the cool mornings. Dust control is probably going to be an issue if you don't wear goggles - but that is true of almost any helmet if you are riding in your buddies dust.
Finish Quality: Overall good quality. A couple minor points I noticed. The right side cheek underlying foam block had a square edge resting under the visor seal that was pushing the visor seal out slightly. The left side did not have this. I mushed it a little with my thumb. It didn't effect the seal with the visor at that point. I really like the added touch of the reflective material on the back of the neck roll.
Paint: The paint and SparX decals are excellent. Maybe it is not paint and molded in color? I am not sure - but it is even, no blemishes. Definitely gets looks on the road!
Visor: Clarity is good. movement is a little tight, but no tendency to lift. No ratchet positions, but I knew that from the video review. It stays in any intermediate position I put it in. I did remove it just to see the attachment points - it's just the two screws that hold on the sun visor as reported in the video - nothing surprising, nothing tricky about getting it back together.
Wind Noise: This is the one area the helmet is/was lacking. Maybe this is because it is the first production run, I am not sure, but the visor doesn't seal on the right side. It flips out a little from the rubber seal near the back bottom corner and up along the back edge as it runs up towards the mounting point. It whistles pretty bad due to this gap. If I put my hand there it stops all whistling. I tried and experiment and put a small piece of electrical tape as a "wing" off the back that I wrapped around the edge of the visor sticking it to both side of the visor. This did the trick and rid the helmet of all whistling noise. The top vents a re quiet. The only noise is a light wind noise from the beak.
Aerodynamics: Good - I don't get any head lift running up to around 60 mph on my DR250. Only if I look skyward does the visor grab and pull. The flow-channels do an excellent job of relieving wind push at normal head angles.
Weight: Pretty good for a DS helmet! One reason I like ECE-2205 helmets is that they tend to weigh less.
