Shoei CWR-1 Pinlock Lens Insert
Works but not durable
I am using this product on a Quest visor. When new (a year ago), it fit well but not it is loose fitting and the silicone bead is not so tacky. This means that there is not a good seal (if any) between the visor and the pin lock visor. The end result is that fog is not prevented. If we are meant to buy a new one each year, then the price needs to come down some.

A product worth to have it however SHOEI does not
I like very much my helmet, with shoei you can´t go wrong, overall a good product, this is a premium helmet and this kind of stuff should come along with all necessary accesories to enjoy full experience. Paying for your helmet 500+ usd and additional 80 dollars (lens + visor with pins) for not fogging is all about shoei being a money maker leech.

Watch the finger prints.
Th installation is a bit tricky. I had to remove it and get the finger prints off then put on gloves to keep it clean. No problems after that. Love it

No more Fogging - well sort of
I love having the pinlock insert in my Shoei RF-1200. It works just as it should - creating a locked air space that prevents fogging of the shield. I found it works especially well on cooler morning or when coming outside from the A/C. The only thing I wish is that there was a pinlock shield for my glasses - they still fog a bit. Great product - definitely worth the money!

Pinlock? A must!
There's no riding in temps bellow 70F without a pinlock lens. Visors fog at stops, at low speeds, almost no exception. Happens on my Shoei (RF-1200), happens on my Arai (Signet-Q).
Enter the pinlock lens, and the fog is gone. For good.
I do like, however, the Shoei solution best.
Shoei only offers a (single) clear pinlock lens, so you can combine it with different color/shade shields.
Arai, on the other hand, offers different colored pinlocks that can be paired only to a clear shield. So, no pinlock for a smoke shade visor...:-(
Shoei really got it right here.

If your helmet fogs up all the time this is the only way to go. A little expensive for the set, but well worth it.

Awesome enhancement to RF-1200
Since my roommate who currently owns an RF-1100 and often has to flip up his visor due to fogging, it's very nice to be able to have my visor down most if not all the time and not have to worry about dealing with fog. If you have an RF-1200, this item should be a must.

Don't Listen to the Bad Reviews
These are great. If it rains or if its cold you never have to worry about your shield fogging up. Some people were saying there is a bad glare/reflection at night. Well, if you read the directions they say "Do not use at night" I leave mine in all the time. It's just a reflection from the headlights shining through the face shield then reflecting off the pinlock lens then back onto the face shield. It doesn't bother me at all.
