Peter F:According to Shoei, they will only be made in clear. This is part of a DOT (Department of Transportation) regulation due to diminished light transmission from the pinlock insert, even with the clear installed. Shoei actually suggests removing the clear pinlock at night for better visibility. Remember..the Neotec and the GT Air have drop down sun shields built into the helmets. I have a Neotec and have never had a problem in sun, rain, clouds...with the clear pinlock combined with the drop down sun shield.
Andres R:I use the ProTec Tint Insert day & night. It's photo-chromatic & really works. It reacts to the UV light rather timely. I don't know why Revzilla won't sell it. I've had mine almost a year. It never fogs up, goes dark when it's sunny, & clears up when it's dark out. I haven't changed my visor since. You have to order it straight from the manufacture, mind you they are in the U.K. so it takes longer than usual to receive it, but it's worth the wait!Mar 26, 2014
Mark D:I just started using my pinlock system a few weeks ago. In order to keep the interior from fogging the seal must be in place and in tact to create a dead space of air between the lenses to provide insulation between air outside the helmet and air inside the helmet. I don't know if it can be reattached but I would contact Shoei to see if there is a fix or buy a new interior lense. Hope this helps.Mar 18, 2014
ALEXANDRU G:I'm sorry , but I live In Connecticut and since I purchase my pinlock lens in December I didn't ride only once or twice because we had a bad winter but so far mine works just fine and did not lost the seal Mar 18, 2014
