Good product Does what it intends to do. Great product and I would highly recommend it. April 21, 2014
Completely eliminates fogging Almost magic, no fogging at 45 degrees. Crystal clear. April 21, 2014
No fog here Terrific product that completely eliminates any fogging, which is a very big problem for the standard (untreated) Shoei shields. I highly recommend this upgrade for safety. April 18, 2014
Nice Nice clear lens. One came with the helmet so now I have 2. I don't remember reading in the product description that one was included with the helmet, Shoei 1200. March 31, 2014
Great as expected This is my 2nd pinlock for my helmet because I commute and as a previous reviewer stated, it scratches easily. However, it is the only way for the visor to stay mostly fog free with the chin curtain installed on the GT-Air. Since I commute in the Northwest, I have used this in the dark and pouring down rain and barely noticed a reduction in visibility. It is definitely better than a fogged visor in the dark or one with water on the inside because you had to crack it open. March 3, 2014
Careful removing sticker The insert works well to prevent fogging. Careful when removing sticker on shield as the insert is easily scratched. The sticker is hard to remove without scratching the insert. February 11, 2014
Best option for preventing fog So far nothing works better than the Pinlock for preventing visor fogging on a cold day. It's easy to install, though I rarely ever remove the pinlock once it's installed so it's pretty much zero maintenance. February 10, 2014
fits perfect Fits the shoe lens perfect. I haven't had a chance to test it in the cold weather but have used similar ones on other helmets and they help tremendously February 4, 2014

Peter F: According to Shoei, they will only be made in clear. This is part of a DOT (Department of Transportation) regulation due to diminished light transmission from the pinlock insert, even with the clear installed. Shoei actually suggests removing the clear pinlock at night for better visibility. Remember..the Neotec and the GT Air have drop down sun shields built into the helmets. I have a Neotec and have never had a problem in sun, rain, clouds...with the clear pinlock combined with the drop down sun shield.

Ride safe!

Andres R: I use the ProTec Tint Insert day & night. It's photo-chromatic & really works. It reacts to the UV light rather timely. I don't know why Revzilla won't sell it. I've had mine almost a year. It never fogs up, goes dark when it's sunny, & clears up when it's dark out. I haven't changed my visor since. You have to order it straight from the manufacture, mind you they are in the U.K. so it takes longer than usual to receive it, but it's worth the wait! Mar 26, 2014

Eric S asked: My pinlock lost its seal on the bottom. What do I need to do to re-install it and have it properly adhere - or does it need to be replaced ? Mar 18, 2014

Mark D: I just started using my pinlock system a few weeks ago. In order to keep the interior from fogging the seal must be in place and in tact to create a dead space of air between the lenses to provide insulation between air outside the helmet and air inside the helmet. I don't know if it can be reattached but I would contact Shoei to see if there is a fix or buy a new interior lense. Hope this helps. Mar 18, 2014
