great price point, great protection, not without flaws... Having purchased these gloves at the beginning of the riding season (2015), I have used them nearly every day up til recently. The gloves have broken in very nicely and show some minor wear on the leather and hard parts, but nothing out of the ordinary. My only complaint has been the Velcro closure. The Velcro wore out around mid-summer (especially on the throttle-hand) and now won't stay closed. With that said, I love these gloves and I'll weigh my options over the winter. Would I buy them again? YES. I'd be keen to buying another pair before trying an unknown glove, and I LOVE fresh gear. Most likely I'll take them in and have a tailor fix the Velcro. November 19, 2015
Worth waiting for - I wanted the green gloves to match my helmet, so I waited . . . and it took longer than I had hoped, so drove without gloves for 6 weeks . . . They fit very well, well constructed, and look great too! November 16, 2015
Love this Glove I can't say enough about this glove. I have used it for an entire riding season so far and it gets me well into the fall and early spring. No issues feeling the controls and they never get uncomfortable. Thinking about buying another pair just in case I go down with these or they ever wear out I will have another pair instead of trying to find something else if they ever become unavailable. Worth every penny. November 2, 2015
Solid gloves for the price The overall fit and feel is great with these gloves. Upon first inspection the quality of the product is very apparent. A few reviews complained about them starting to fall apart so I will update if that happens. November 2, 2015
A Lot of Glove for Little Cash The gauntlet I've had to run through of finding these gloves has been ridiculous. Scorpion has had issues importing these into the US, but I was able to find a single black pair at a local retailer. Luckily, they're available everywhere now, so I'll be getting a white pair from Revzilla soon! These gloves fit well, flow enough air to be comfortable in the desert heat, but don't freeze my knuckles during the cooler times. The amount of protection makes me feel as though I can survive the apocalypse and continue my ride. Happy Riding! November 1, 2015
Still breaking in? consider the size/fit I've owned these for about 2 months now, and they look great. I trust that my hands will be protected in whatever situation I put them in. The price isn't too horrible for what you're paying for. Your hands are usually the first things to touch the pavement if you go down, for most people, having them torn to shreds isn't ideal. only 1 issue! I have pretty small hands usually. Like, small enough to get made fun of on construction sites. lol So reading the reviews I decided to go with a bigger size, which was a medium and for some reason, during longer rides, if i'm not constantly stretching my fingers or trying to get the blood flowing, my throttle hand will start to go numb. Not very ideal for anything, especially braking.. I have noticed that it is considerably better than when I first started using them. I'm not sure if it's because of the curved fit they have in the fingers or in the size i chose. I think if I went larger, they might feel too loose. I love the gloves, but I'm hoping the right glove breaks in more? October 29, 2015
Great Gloves Just received the product... Haven´t tested yet but one thing is for sure... scorpion sizing chart is way off. I measure my hand and the chart said Large.. I read the Q&A and some people say to go for the regular sizing chart and so I did... Ordered a Small and fit perfect (that´s my size in almost all glove brands) the gloves seem durable and well constructed October 26, 2015
Went down in these gloves, held up great! I recently suffered an oil slick going around a curvy. My front tire went out and I went sliding on my SGS gloves and boots. The poly palm sliders and hard knuckles saved my hands, no question about it. You really cant go wrong with this glove for the price offered. October 26, 2015

Rick F: I studied every option for short cuffed gloves under $100 for months looking at safety and style. Anthony's reviews helpd me make an informed decision on this glove. Apr 5, 2015
A S: I was looking for a glove that had palm sliders for that extra protection and that was not a full gantlet glove. also the great price for the features offered was a selling point.

'I feel that helmet is #1, and gloves are #2. that is the base to never go without. but that is still squiding to me. grab a jacket, some boots and leg protection, the more the better but in daily city riding i just have #1-2 and a simple leather jacket.'

Kar S: Good protection Apr 3, 2015
A S: tough sleek rugged gloves Apr 1, 2015
Daniel P: Great review and great value. These gloves have a lot of features and protection. They are comfortable right out of the packaging and look awesome. You can use them in various weather conditions and they provide very good feel of the bike controls. Serious bang for the buck. Mar 30, 2015
A N: went with scorpion because I went with them for my first helmet and found a high quality product at a good price. wanted to keep the scorpion theme going so I checked out there gloves and, what do you know, found (what seem to be) another high quality product and a price no other manufacturer is matching for what you get. was a little scared by others' stories about torn seams, but I'm confident in the brand and RevZilla making any exchanges, if need be. Mar 25, 2015
Wayne J: Great reviews, amazing price for a fairly technical glove. Good looking, too. Mar 25, 2015
Arjay G: like the style and protection Mar 21, 2015

James S: Buying a sport bike this year and wanted some more protection than I currently have. Mar 13, 2015
Jon G: Technically the best bang for your buck. I currently have the A Star smx but I cant stand the finger tips as they wear down and get all frilly. Bonus: It matches perfectly with my VR46 Dainese leather jacket! Mar 12, 2015
Habib K: Good overall protection.
What looking for some gloves with reinforcement on the palm.
Cannot wait to try it!
Mar 10, 2015

Brian W: Excellent protective features for less than 100 USD. Mar 8, 2015
Dunn A: I chose this because mainly because of the bang for buck features and it had the same color scheme as the blue Icon Airmada Salient helmet. I don't really care if it's not the same brand, just as long as it is a best bang for buck with the styling I want. Mar 3, 2015

Gianni K: Looks like good protection! Mar 2, 2015

Christopher N: I needed gloves for my BRC and these seemed to have a huge amount of value for the price. Feb 24, 2015
Christopher J: Never owned bike gloves. I've had a close call with a low slide that I quickly recovered. So I purchased safety gear for that "Just in case" situation. here is another season for no more close calls! Feb 21, 2015
D E: Affordable, great look, and they seem to have good ventilation Feb 19, 2015
Robert D: Full featured short glove for under $100. Feb 15, 2015
Troy S: I have always loved the the look of Scorpion products. Feb 13, 2015

Richard W: The video reviews of the items for sale, with a very articulate spokesman, help immensely when it comes to selecting what I need. The customer reviews and ratings also help when it comes to determining the durability of an item I am considering purchasing.
I get the impression Revzilla really cares about satisfying their customers and their prices and return policies are hard to beat. Free shipping makes a good deal even better.
Dec 30, 2014
B R: High level of protection offered for the price. Not a lot of good gloves with good sliders in the palms. Dec 29, 2014
Paul A: These gloves have lasted almost 6,000 miles. They seem to get more comfortable as time goes on. I really like the protection that they provide. Dec 28, 2014
Daniel P: The protection offered in this short glove rivals that of the full gauntlet race style gloves. I like that the glove vents well, offers quality materials and looks decent. I read some reviews that said that the stitching is of poor quality, but I know revzilla.com stands behind the products it sells. Dec 20, 2014
A J: Looked at the video and the reviews, seemed to be really good gloves at a good price and good quality. Dec 19, 2014
Charles F: great protection for the money, which factors overcame the hesitation caused by several negative reviews of the stitching. I am confident that if the item is flawed, revzilla and/or scorpion will make it right. If my pair has good stitching as some other reviewers' have, then I'll be getting a hell of a deal.

I will be sure to update this once the item arrives (revzilla asked me why I chose this as soon as my order was placed).
Dec 15, 2014

H E: Bought a white set of these for adventure riding a while back... great gloves. Like the vid says, a little on the small side... but great protection and reasonably well built. Still using the white ones, getting these for riding the street bike. Oct 16, 2014
L A: Low price, quality build, and gets the job done. Having super fabrics in such a low priced glove is very nice, gloves fit true to size once broken in and are not too tight or too loose for me. Good air flow in summer and still keeps hands relatively warm in cooler months. 10/10 would recommend. Oct 8, 2014
Timothy M H: Wanted a leather summer glove with lots of airflow. Great fit: I have long fingers and it is a great fitting glove. Oct 3, 2014
James A N: Second pair of the SGS glove. Bought as a backup pair. Excellent features: 1+ year of daily commuting and still solid. Great Tactile feel in the fingers. Knox palm sliders - One broken/titanium wrist already - want to minimize the chance of a repeat. Sep 27, 2014

Jaime Z: Good reviews, good price. Aug 20, 2014
Cody E: The price was very competitive for the level of quality these gloves offer. Anthony's review helped a lot too in deciding what is the best bang for the buck. Aug 20, 2014
Christopher W: I am a new rider and these gloves by far offer the best protection i could find in this price range. Particularly intrigued in the SPS palm sliders. Not wanting to wear full gauntlet gloves due to living in southern Alabama's heat and humidity these offered a nice middle ground i felt. I look forward to breaking these in and wearing for many miles to come. I truly believe they will give me a better chance of minimizing injury in a fall without having to fork out a small fortune in return. Aug 18, 2014
Michael J. M: For all the safety features, at this price point, wow! It should be a no brainer. Aug 10, 2014
Paul D: Bought as a gift Aug 9, 2014
Scott S: Highly rated item with top quality safety features and good looks! Aug 6, 2014
Nicholas M: Protection. I went down about a month ago and dislocated my wrist. Hopefully, it never happens again, but if it does, these gloves should provide the extra protection I was lacking. Aug 5, 2014

RAYMOND P: Good price great review info Aug 3, 2014
Marko S: shared technology with knox handroid gloves wich are the best protective gloves you can buy and cost 3 times as this ones
palm sliders are the only protection that will save your hands/palms which many A stars or dainesse lack completely
no nonsense high quality and highly protective glove nuf said!
Aug 3, 2014
Bill A: Awesome gloves. Runs alittle small. Would recommend.Great value Aug 1, 2014
Roger N: Wanted a full leather short cuff glove - have had durability issues with leather/textile gloves in the past. Features of this glove appear to be more advanced than others in this price range. Aug 1, 2014
Matthew M: These gloves offer excellent protection and are very well made. Plus the red version in large finally came in thank god! Jul 18, 2014
Dan G: This glove had many protection features usually found on much more expensive gloves. Jul 15, 2014
Rodrigo N: Because they are the only pair of gloves at this price point that offer palm sliders Jul 8, 2014
N U: The overall protection, specifically the skid plates on the palm. The cost of this glove is a bargain when you put it up against what others of the same price range offer. I know, having owned a Scorpion EXO helmet for years, that it is a quality brand. Jul 8, 2014
Kevin B: They had good reviews and lots of protection built in. Jul 5, 2014
Jason N: I originally ordered the Icon Pursuit gloves in XL, but they were too small, not by much but just enough. After trying them on though I realized they weren't that special off a glove anyway and searched for other gloves around the same price point. I came across these Scorpion SGSs and I saw how much better they were in that they have multiple section of the glove stitched separately allowing greater movement and comfort. Also the video was helpful in understanding the additional protection. Jul 1, 2014
Stephen S: Shredded a pair of icon pursuit gloves and my left hand was damaged when I hit a deer and tumbled down the road last year. Wanted a short glove for summer but wanted good protection too. These sound as though they will fit the bill, hoping to NOT test them in another wreck. Jun 29, 2014
Steven K: This glove has the added protection I am looking for. Jun 29, 2014
T H: Great reviews and confidence inspiring safety features. Jun 24, 2014
Kyle G: Similar to the helmet, I wasn't looking for anything too fancy, but this seems to have a lot of features for less than $100. I just don't want to lose my hands. Jun 21, 2014
Paul C: Extra protection from a short cuff glove and great price. Jun 19, 2014
Timothy R: I chose this glove based on the amount of features that it offers for the money and so many positive customer reviews. I was looking for a nice summer glove and many in this price range offer very little protection. I ride a Goldwing and Harleys and this is not normally the style that I would choose however I am coming around to liking all the protection that I can get. Jun 17, 2014
Christopher S: Good price point for what you got! Jun 14, 2014
herman c: Bang for buck! Great price & features! Jun 12, 2014
Kenneth W: Wanted a full leather short glove and after much research picked Scorpion SGS. Price and reviews sold me. Jun 9, 2014

Glenn J: Dude on the video liked'em. Heard palm sliders were a big deal so that too May 30, 2014
Trevor D: Upgrading from a pair of Scorpion Cool Hand II gloves. Previous pair had great air flow, but offered very little protection....if the unfortunate happens, my hands should be a lot better off. May 29, 2014
Jorge E: High quality materials for the price. May 27, 2014
Ryan D: Needed the palm sliders May 27, 2014
Derek H: I like a short glove and this had the protection I was looking for. I am especially excited about the palm sliders and the reinforcement on the outside of the hand. May 24, 2014
Daniel P: The Revzilla video and product review was very convincing. In addition, the price point for this kind of protection and I like the short cut of the glove. May 24, 2014
Yunfei J: the palm part is hard AF May 23, 2014
pedro p: I liked the looks and the features. May 21, 2014
John D: Need to protect the digits and purchased based on your review May 20, 2014
Joseph S: I was looking for quality and features with comfort and protection. This glove appears to have them all. May 20, 2014
Wilton B: I decide to purchase these because e i have scorpion SG3 which is a great gauntlet glove wanted to try the shorter version of the glove for those extra hot days when i am doing that every day ride to work and home May 17, 2014
William S: High level of protection for a good price. And Anthony did a good job selling it in the video. May 17, 2014
Dan H: Amazing features for price May 13, 2014
Bruno H: i like the protection offered with out the gauntlet May 10, 2014
Timothy M: Recommended by Anthony from Revzilla TV as a glove with great protection and fit. May 9, 2014
W A: The write-up on these suggests pretty good protection for a shorty glove. A lot of gloves have similar looking bumps and fabric swatches, but the SGS gloves claim to actually be using the materials that will protect a rider who meets up with the pavement. May 9, 2014
Christopher S: price and color May 9, 2014
Steven C: Great value, and I trust the brand scorpion May 8, 2014
Christina T: Protective materials, Revzilla reviews, Color May 7, 2014
Jay L: Best bang for the buck! May 5, 2014
Eric N: 100% based on the gear review. As the review points out, this glove has a ton of features and for the price I don't think you can find better. I was also interested in a glove with a hi-vis color option. Apr 27, 2014
Donald D: High Vis, Reviews and video breakdown Apr 26, 2014
Jonathon G: Bang for the buck. You can't beat the quality and how much protection/ features you get on these gloves for sub $100. Apr 22, 2014

I haven't logged a lot of miles with them but not even being broken in they are pretty comfortable and are great gloves. We will see about long term quality but for the money, so far I'm impressed. Michael H: Tired of wrestling those gauntlet gloves for around town. Features and pricing for my first 'short cuff' glove that doesn't look like a colorful alien claw. I am a little wary of the 'Super Fabric' sections that others have commented about scratching their paint. So we shall see..... Sep 28, 2013
Kazuya S: Good price and reasonable functionality. Sep 17, 2013
david l: The scorpion SGS glove looks like it offers a great deal of protection for the price. I like the idea of the sliders on the heals of the glove for better slide protection. Sep 16, 2013
Luke M: The combination of great materials and design caught my eye, the price for the protection sold me, and the video review was the icing on the cake. No overkill, but outstanding protection. Aug 28, 2013
MELVIN H: I chose this because it looked quite durable. The previous glove was made of leather and neoprene at the wrist area and I had to return it at two months because it separated where the stitching joined the leather and neoprene. Thus, I wanted a glove that was all leather at the wrist area to prevent that from happening again. Aug 27, 2013
Robert A: I saw the video review and felt that these gloves, were great for my riding needs Aug 25, 2013
Jonathan L: The Price combined with the safety features. You can thank the review for that. As I compared it to the other gloves they seem to cost more but have less. I was not necessarily price driven but it did not make sense to pay more for less. Also it comes in larger sizes. We will see how it holds up. Aug 16, 2013
David R: Reason I chose this product is because all of the reviews on the products are great Aug 16, 2013
Steve B: After extensive research I concluded that these gloves offer the best bang for my buck and my protection and style of riding. Also they look really sharp. Anthony seemed to rave a little more about the SGS's which was very convincing. Aug 9, 2013
Ariel G asked: I tried these on at a nearby store and the size L fit great. When I go to the sizing chart it says I should get a double XL though. I own some Rev'it SLR XL. Which is hand size 10.

I am confused did I measure incorrectly or is there something wrong on the sizing chart on the website?

For example, On a your site the sizing chart reads:
XS 5
SM 6
MD 7
LG 8
XL 9
2XL 10
3XL 11

But on a competitors site it reads

XS 7
SM 8
MD 9
LG 10
XL 11
2XL 12

Which is correct?

James N: Do yourself a favor. If you wear small, medium or large regular gloves, do the same with these gloves. I always buy medium gloves for the winter; but I bought Large Scorpion SGS gloves going by their size chart. They were much too big, so I returned them for a size medium, (my usual size), and they fit perfectly. For the money, I think these are the very best motorcycle gloves you'll find out there. And I did my homework.
Good luck, Jim

Curtis C: I'm an 8.5 with shorter fingers, the SM fit me "like a glove" after a good bit of breaking in. I prefer a tighter fit, but for the first couple weeks it was VERY snug.

I would say the 2nd chart is accurate. I tried a Medium and had lots of room, a Large would have been way too big.

James M asked: I'm a new rider so I'm not sure how everything should fit. When i measured my hand it was almost dead on 9", so i order XL.. Now that I've tried them on i have a little problem. I guess i have short fingers because all the fingering are too long about 1/4" on the worst finger. But the glove does fit in between the fingers and there is a little room sideways in the palm. Should i try a size smaller? or is this a problem I'm going to always have? side note are women s gloves fingers shorter? May 15, 2014

Michael V: From personal experience, I would suggest go down a size, if it's loose around the middle part of the hand n too long length wise. The leather will loosen up and form a bit better over usage if the L is snug when you first get them. I noticed my gloves for better after I got caught in the rain and after I let them dry. Landon F: Once they break in you're gonna get more room. I typically wear a XL but now that I've had these for a while I coulf probably wear a L. I doubt that the L would be completely comfortable at first though. You'll gain some room once they break in though so a L may be the way to go. May 21, 2014

A shopper asked: Is this glove waterproof? Sep 27, 2013
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Quan N: Since there are small perforations to allow the gloves to breathe, those same small perforations let in some moisture. My hands are a little wet after riding in the rain, but they're not soaked. So, no, they're not waterproof. Sep 28, 2013

dobromir h: I guess you could call it water resistant as it's made of leather, but it's definitely not waterproof.
There are perforations in-between the the fingers too. It's not a sealed winter/rain glove.

W S: Nope. This glove model was designed before the "need" to use touchscreens. I agree, it's a great glove. I wear it every day and it does provide the best protection for the cost. It also holds up extremely well. There is virtually no wear. Also, there's a rubber patch in the palm which I find helpful for gripping the handlebars on wet/cold days. It's a lot of glove! Terry H: Happy Xmas and Merry New Year!
They do not work on smart phone touch screens but I've had these for a couple seasons now and even though they are a comfortably snug fit, I'm still able to pull them both off pretty quickly to throw a quick txt or email at a red light if needed. As for protection, I haven't gone down with these yet *knocking on wood* but I know they are very well constructed, tough as hell because I've wrestled with my 90lbs Lab/Pit X numerous times with them on and not even a loose thread. I've also played paintball a few times with them, threw them in the wash (not recommended) and they are still holding up. I would definitely buy them again if I live long enough to see them wear out. Hope that helps;)

Orn W: I can use the touch screen on my Galaxy Note 2 and my Galaxy Note 3 with these gloves if I press firmly. You have to use the pad of your finger or thumb rather than the tip, so it's not very precise. It is plenty for working the slider to unlock or receive a phone call. I think it works because the kangaroo is so thin.
If you have a Samsung, you can turn on a display setting to "Auto-Adjust touch sensitivity" , and that makes it more responsive when wearing these gloves.

A shopper asked: Many of the reviews describe the SGS as a race glove; is this glove over-kill for commuting/touring? If the SGS is over the top for touring, what alternative is suggested that offers good crash and impact protection? Apr 8, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
JOSEPH L: The reviews for the SGS glove are correct. That being said, whether you are a commuter/tourer or a track junkie, this glove offers superior crash protection for the money. Though my riding consists of everything in between, I wanted the additional protection these gloves offer over other gloves I have tried. And believe me, I have gone through three different vendors and models before settling on a glove that provides the best combination of form and function. What really sold me on this glove was the innovative SPS (Scaphoid Protection System) pads sewn in on the palms. The SPS pads allow the palms to slide on the pavement, dissipating most of the energy from the impact. The other plus is the Superfabric material sewn in high-abrasion prone areas. The pre-curved design and molded knuckle protection do make this glove a bit stiff at first, but with wear and tear, the leather will become compliant. You will also have to adjust for the tactile changes with the throttle grip from the SPS pads on the palms. I would recommend trying them on and sorting out those differences while stationary on your machine before going on a ride. Took me a couple of days to get comfortable with the changes. Overall, highly recommend these gloves if you want the additional crash protection without spending a boat load of money. If you are strictly out for comfort, don't buy these gloves. Apr 8, 2014

lester d: No this is not over kill this is a good protective glove from the carbon fiber pads and kangaroo palm I have had this glove for awhile and still wear them every time I ride.I ride a harley and off road riding too this glove is perfect for both...and a good investment for your hands.very well made solid glove.plus they are cool looking to.they will break in around your hand as you wear them.will seem tight at first but forms to your hands..order them one size larger than you normally wear. If you dont won't them snug on your hand.hope this helps definitely a great glove no matter your style of riding.rather you fall racing or just commuting or touring these gloves will protect your hand. W S: This is a fantastic all around glove. I use it for around town everyday use. It has great protection at a great price. I bought two pair. Be careful of one thing. I bought two pair. First pair had a broken stitch. Second glove set didn't. It was perfect. I've never been in an accident (knock on wood) but Anthony has and describes glove "explosions" during accident impact - presumably on cement. That's why he likes the single (unstitched) extra protective layer on the outside of the hand up through the pinky. It means more protection. Bottom line, order the glove, but do not tolerate bad stitching! Exchange the gloves. I hope this helps. Apr 12, 2014

Landon F: I use it for commuting and on a cruiser. It's comfortable and has a good deal of protection for the price. I figure I can have an incident around town just as easily so if you like the look go for it. I have the white/black so they're a little more noticeable. Get the full black if you're worried about overkill. I wanted protection in a quality glove and these fit that bill. Apr 8, 2014

Brian T: I don't think they're overkill for commuting, it's what I purchased them for. Protection is protection, and these are some of the most reasonably priced gloves out there for the safety you get. The look is pretty low-key as well, so you get many of the better safety features without all of the racing glove bling. I'd buy them again if I had the choice. Apr 8, 2014

W S: I bought this glove twice, which gives you an idea of how much I love this glove. Once in 2x and one pair in 3x. I owned the 3x first and thought it might be too big. (In contrast, I bought the A-Stars winter gortex glove 2x and it is TIGHT. In retrospect I wish I bought the 3x) I bought the 2x pair and found it snug. I wear the 3x all the time. Now, I will tell you I like larger fitting clothes so the glove fits that pattern. Leather is supposed to stretch, so eventually I'll use the 2x too. It's been 6 months and I'd buy this product again. This is a little bit of a ramble, but I hope this helps. Nov 13, 2013

Hunter A asked: How breathable are the gloves? Jul 11, 2015
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Orn W: These gloves are quite breathable due to the perforations, but the back of hand dual layer is for for only and does not add to breathability.
I purchased these for Harley riding in Southern California. I run hot and wanted very protective gloves that were also breathable. From my limited experience, these are the most breathable gloves I could find that still have protection. They are about as breathable as some perforated Harley gloves I tried on, but these have far better protection and padding.

A shopper asked: Many reviews describe the SGS as a race glove; is this glove overkill for commuting or touring? If the SGS is over-the-top for touring, what alternatives are recommended that offer good crash and abrasion protection? Apr 8, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Brandon C: Actually being a non gauntlet glove, I would find this sub-par for race. I'm strictly a touring and all around rider, and I wear this glove daily, in most climates high 50s to over 100 degrees. Consideringg a second pair as a backup! Having had an accident years ago, I fully believe in the knox scapula palm protection. (My palm sure couldve used it back then) unlike other brands that used other shaped knox scapula sliders, these do not affect my grip either. I do not feel gloves stretch too much so unlike the racers, I don't recommend getting one size small. (I dont like tight gloves though) I usually wear a 2xl glove, and this worked fine. I have the gloves in black. Apr 8, 2014

Edmond Yee Ming L: I bought these gloves at the beginning of 13' season. Used only for short city riding. Easy on and off. Doesn't flow a lot of air. But I don't have any pressure points. Big +. Had all the protective elements I wanted in a short summer glove. Price wise this is a winner.
Calling it overkill would be silly in protective terms (more is always better imho) but valid in styling terms.
I don't think I answered your question... but Revzilla asked me to respond....so must obey....

Good luck in your search.

Apr 8, 2014
Sean H: I commute with them since I got them. I find no reason why people would say they're strictly a race glove or over the top. The protection and features they offer are applicable to any type of riding, they're not gauntlet style. The only thing I would change is that my icon gloves are touch screen compatible, while these are not which is pretty minor as far as complaints go. Haven't crash tested. The gloves but the quality seems good and the glove is reinforced and armored in the areas that in my mind would be most important. Apr 8, 2014

Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
W S: This question isn't necessarily about the glove. It's about the personal choice of how your boyfriend wears his clothes. Does he wear baggy jeans? Oversized shirts? What are the sizes of his other mc gloves? These gloves have a ton of value, so either way (they're exchangeable) you'll be fine. He'll love them! Good luck. Feb 11, 2014

Brian J: I tend to prefer a tighter fitting glove, as they will break in and loosen up a bit after a few rides. Thus, I would not round up in size. If you prefer a looser fitting glove, then by all means round up. Good Luck!! Feb 11, 2014

Jacob R: I can only speak for the SGS, which I own.

I live in NorCal and appreciate the airflow these gloves give, they never feel oppressively hot. However, I sometimes do wish I'd gone for the gauntlet version (the SG3) because I get weird triangle-shaped sunburns on my wrist where neither the glove nor my jacket sleeve covers the skin. Of course, that would be exposed in an accident too.

Unless, say, your jacket sleeves would be annoying if you wore a gauntlet glove, I'd think about it just for the additional protection.

A S: These short gloves are more comfortable than the gauntlets. However, on both gloves I found the thumb to be too long. My hand measured 8 inches. Medium fits perfect but the thumb is too long. But I live with it because these gloves offer excellent protection. Oct 4, 2015

A shopper asked: Hey guys. I bought a pair of these in size L. They fit like a second skin, but theyre SLIGHTLY tight around the hand. Do these gloves stretch and conform to the hand as time goes? Apr 24, 2015

Terry H: My gloves were a little tight at first especially around my pinky finger. They are leather and will soften and stretch over time. I wanted to speed up the process a little so I soaked them in warm water, then put a couple of thicker rounded tip sticks inside the pinky holes and waited till they dried before pulling them out. Now they fit perfectly. I've had mine for 3 seasons now with no issues. Hope that helps:) Apr 24, 2015

Orn W: In my experience, they stretch and mold just a little bit over the first week or so of daily wear. I wore them while driving my truck about an hour a day to break them in. If they are uncomfortable tight, you probably need a larger size because they won't stretch like Alpinestars or work gloves. Apr 24, 2015

Kevin K: Very little. Riding with them wet helps them stretch some.

Jason B asked: How does this short cuff glove fit at the wrist with a racing cut leather jacket? I wear a Dainese Avro jacket and would like a short cuff glove for the summer but it's not clear if this glove will fit properly under the cuff of the jacket.
Having the reviewer show this interface in future videos would be nice.

Jason B: I didn't get a response so I just bought the gloves hoping for the best. The good news is these are awesome, well built gloves. Unfortunately the cuff on my Dainese Avro C2 jacket is fairly snug around my wrist and these gloves have wrist enclosures thick enough that it causes the jacket to bunch up in an uncomfortable manner. If your jacket has a looser cuff, I'd highly recommend the Scorpions, but they didn't work for me in my situation.
Once again, it would be very helpful if the product video showed the item in conjunction with normal riding attire so one could judge how it might work in it's intended role.

Michael M: They will not fit under the cuff of my Dainese Super speed or my racing c2,
But they fit just over the cuff.
However I do not recommend these gloves for the track, There great on the street, One of my favorite gloves.

A shopper asked: Hi guys,

Bought this glove a few weeks back and its a quality gloves. My question is regarding the treatment of the gloves, is it safe to use dubbing on the gloves or similar creams to the leather?

Robert F: Good question! I tried to check the care guidelines once before. If you add dubbin or the like my concern is it may compromise the stitching that holds the protective parts the leather and make them weak. Not sure though. Mar 7, 2014

JOHN R: I think you would be fine. I use saddle soap on mine. Apr 1, 2014

david c asked: Ok, so these look like great gloves, but riders either say they are really well made ir the stitching is falling out. Will Scorpion back up their product, or not? I'd expect a company to replace them if they were falling apart. Anyone try this? Oct 25, 2015

Michael M: I've had mine over a year now, Two trips to deals gap, one 630 mile day.
I've proly done 4-5,000 miles in these gloves. & I love em.
I tell all my friends there the best glove for the money by far.
These gloves have are as good as gloves that cost twice as much.
I I'm talking about Astars & Dainese here.
The RevZella review nails em pretty good.
I hope that helps you, I cant speak to Scorpions warranty.

A shopper asked: The size chart told me to get 2XL, but I got XL because that what my dirt gloves are. In a resting position the gloves seem to fit well in the palm, but as soon as I curl my hand the palm bunches up. Also the last 2 fingers are slightly long. Should I get a size down? Jul 3, 2014
