Schuberth C3 Pro Racing Helmet

The Rolls Royce of motorcycle helmets, the Schuberth C3 Pro has been designed to improve on the original C3, which was already one of the quietest and most technologically advanced helmets to date. The rear spoiler, which has been optimized during extensive wind tunnel testing, turns the C3 Pro into a real sport helmet, demonstrating outstanding aerodynamic properties at high speeds in excess of 100 mph. With its enhanced aeroacoustics of 82 dB(A) at 100 km/h the C3 Pro is one of the quietest helmets in the world.

The C3 Pro is also prepared to accept the integrated Schuberth SCR System, the C3 Pro also incorporates two integrated antennas for increased Bluetooth range and better FM radio reception. The inner lining is made of carefully selected materials such as COOLMAX, Interpower and Thermocool and has been extensively re-shaped and redesigned setting high benchmarks with respect to comfort.

  • The shell is aerodynamically tuned, providing more downforce and reducing buffeting
  • Interior helmet sound levels have been reduced to 82 dB(A) at 60 mph {C3 84 dB(A)}
  • Interior liner has been designed with fewer seams and a more universal interior fit
  • Improved EPS with integrated antennas for SRC-System which improves radio and Bluetooth range
  • Micro-lock ratchet chin strap
  • Large reflective panels on neckroll
  • Improved faceshield ratchet mechanism
  • Integrated sun visor

A quiet helmet means active safety for the motorcyclist. This permits the rider to concentrate on riding – particularly at higher speeds. Many hours in the Schuberth acoustics wind tunnel have ensured that the C3 Pro is as quiet as Schuberth could make it. The comprehensive acoustics package with optimized helmet shell, wind deflector and ergonomic shape of the neck padding make the C3 Pro – at 82 dBA – one of the quietest helmets on the market.

  • Acoustics package makes helmet quiet
  • Installation of a wind deflector further improves aeroacoustics
  • Only 82dB(A) at 100 km per hour (with naked bikes)

Outer Shell:

The outer shell of the Schuberth C3 Pro is offered in two helmet shell sizes and combines an aerodynamically optimal shape with excellent protection. It is manufactured using Schuberth's typical compression molding process and thus permits great stability and a low weight.

  • Shell material: S.T.R.O.N.G. fiber
  • Helmet shell technology from SCHUBERTH permits low weight
  • Glass fiber with a special resin added is compressed in a vacuum at high pressure to form a helmet shell which is exceptionally sturdy
  • Perfected aerodynamics for higher speeds
  • Upward lift = 0!
  • Directionally stable
  • No oscillatory tendency
  • No buffeting
  • Spoiler integrated into the helmet shell

SRC-System Ready:

The C3 Pro equipped to accommodate the SCHUBERTH SRC-System C3 Pro (sold separately). To guarantee ideal radio reception, the C3 Pro is already equipped with two integrated antennas to boost FM and Bluetooth reception.

  • Optimum reception at all times
  • FM and Bluetooth antennas integrated into the helmet for optimum reception

The EPS foam liner is modular in design to ensure optimal shock absorption. This complex segmentation guarantees enhanced force absorption and distribution.

  • Made of specially optimized EPS foam
  • Complex multizone foaming allows optimal shock absorption

Inner Lining:

A special inner lining of the C3 Pro which was developed according to Schuberth's  innovative Comfort Fit concept that ensures the helmet fits comfortably and securely in all situations. The combination of carefully selected COOLMAX and Thermocool materials, with the additional use of Interpower coatings, also make the inner lining a highly-effective moisture removal and cooling system.

  • COOLMAX pad system, completely removable and washable (hand wash, 30°C)
  • Optimized fit
  • Variable venting for effective ventilation
  • Adjustable for summer/winter
  • Allergen-free
  • Antibacterial
  • Removable comfort cheek and head band pads

Thanks to the design of the vents, the supply of fresh air is increased by up to 60%. The combination of multipath channels in the EPS foam liner and the head/chin/mouth ventilation ensures that fresh air is distributed effectively over the entire head area.

A.R.O.S. and Neck Strap:

The Anti-Roll-Off System (A.R.O.S.) was especially developed by SCHUBERTH as a safety feature and is incorporated into every SCHUBERTH motorcycle helmet. It ensures that the helmet cannot roll off of the head when the chinstrap is closed and correctly adjusted:

  • The helmet cannot pivot off the head from behind
  • The risk of contact between the chin section of the helmet and the chin or throat of the rider is minimized due to the small angle of tilt
  • Reduces the chance of the helmet coming into contact with the chest as the result of an accident
  • Precise setting of the chinstrap length through adjustment on both sides
  • Micro-lock ratchet lock

Face Shield:

The EasyChange visor mechanism makes changing visors extremely quick and simple without the use of tools.

  • City position offers maximum ventilation while traveling at slower speeds
  • Pinlock visor prevents shield from fogging

Very Good Helmet I’ve been wearing the red C3 Pro for about 15 months. Bought it based on positive reviews and the very comfortable fit, plus I liked the red. Am very happy with the helmet so far. Have noticed that it loosened up over time – it’s not as snug today as when I first started wearing it. Visibility is great, and it’s very lightweight. I do experience some fogging on cool mornings when I stop at intersections, but it clears right up when I start to move (have not yet tried the pinlock visor). It does not seem to flow a lot of air, but am always comfortable. I really do like the sun visor, but wish it extended just a bit further down. I’ve read a lot about the helmet being quiet, but honestly it does not seem to be especially quiet. Probably to be expected since I ride a lot of highway speeds commuting to/from work, so wear earplugs for the noise. Even with these minor issues, I think it’s a great helmet. September 7, 2015
Neck roll needs help The helmet is extremely comfortable, air flows great and it is very quiet. Almost everything on the helmet is built with quality and precision in mind. The only thing I have against the helmet is the neck roll. Inside of 2 weeks the little nipples on the end of the neck roll broke off that "secure" it under the lip of the base of the helmet. The nipples are very fragile pieces of plastic. I wish they would have used something more durable. October 6, 2015
Quiet, good quality, good fit, but a bit on the pricey side C3 Pro does a great job in reducing noise - as advertised. The fit for me was a bit on the tight side (medium), but I was able to replace the cheek pads with large pad, which made a big difference. My measurements put me on the edge between large and medium, so for a few dollars more I was able to tailor the fit. Not bad, but it added costs. The paint scheme is a head turner and really emphasizes the shape of the helmet. In sum, I am glad i bought the C3 Pro, despite the costs. In time, I will get my money's worth. October 5, 2015
The price tag definitely shows It IS an expensive piece of gear, but once out of the box you will feel the value in every detail. It screams quality in every corner and detail. Pros: - The lining and its feel and comfort - The very effective Pin lock system - The look of the over all helmet especially with the classic version graphics - Very light weight indeed Cons: - Didn't find it as quite as advertised. Ear plugs is absolutely a necessity in longer rides on highways - The forehead mark is not as bad as the C3 before it, but it is definitely still an issue with this revision. May be extra padding in the forehead/eyebrows area will solve this, yet again it just might be the shape of my own head - The venting system seems very good on paper, but in reality, nothing that special. Even with "winter blockers" tucked away, the whole ventilation feels crippled somewhere. Once in the "City Position" it feels much better, however this is not an option once you cross the 100Km/H as the wind will rush into your eyes blinding you (Hence the "City" in the naming i guess). - The whole shield/lens/visor system is crystal clear out of the box, however, the cleaning of the Pin-lock lens or the tented visor after the first accidental smudge or fingerprint is a real nightmare...nothing seems to do the trick even if you follow the manual to the letter... the streaks will always be there and I am yet to find a better way to clean the shield, lens and visor without ruining the whole experience. - BE WARE when removing the neck roll, one of the pins broke with a very slight pressure before even putting the helmet on for the first time..... googled it and found it is an issue plaguing all Schuberth new owners if you are not extra careful. All in all, i am enjoying the purchase so far and these are just points to consider....non is a deal breaker for me.... but might be for you. September 28, 2015
This is an Awesome helmet price is no concern when its your head I ordered this helmet on 9/21/15 and I received it 9/25/15 thanks to Revzella's super fast shipping!! Me and my wife did the measuring on the size and when I got my helmet it was a little tight so I called Revzella's support team and he told me to wear it around the house to wear in some, after 30/45 minutes I feel asleep in it watching tv and now it fits great. I love all the features it has. The quick ratchet for the chin strap is great gloves or no gloves. I really got my bike up to triple digits and this helmet did great no more lifting off my head feeling like my old one. I haven't been a big fan of modulars in the past but this one fits me and my riding style perfectly!!!(being a smoker or taking a drink) yes its pricey but don't let that scare you off if you can afford it I highly recommend looking into this lid! I believe my head and squash is more important than money. When it comes to airflow its like having an onboard A/C with the 1/4 of the weight of my old one. I could go on and on about this helmet but if you can BUY IT. You won't regret it! September 27, 2015
Pretty freaking fantastic As a reference, the only other modular helmet I have owned is a Shoei Neotec which I was very happy with. Fit is definitely small, I am a M in Shoei and a L in this lid. Everyone's head is different, you need to play with one of these helmets for at least an hour before you can find if you like it or not. I think the quicklock strap is awesome, BUT with the anti-roll straps the thicker metal of the latch digs into my adam's apple much more than a D-ring. The solution was to adjust the straps on the latch so that I only insert it 2-3 clicks to make the helmet snug - that keeps all the bigger bits off to the side further. Lots of space around the ears. In every helmet I've ever had the tops of my ears would fold over when I put it on, forced me to reach up into the helmet on both sides to fix them. Not the case here. Sound level is truly fantastic. The sharp edges on the Neotec would create a howling at highway speed regardless of what kind of air was hitting the helmet. I ride an FZ1, so 3/4 upright. I tried removing the windscreen, no change. With the Schuberth there is a dramatic drop in wind noise. This lid works best if you have your whole head in clean air - with the stock windscreen on my bike the turbulent layer hit right at the bottom of this helmet so there was noise. I dropped to a shorty Gravity DoubleBubble and the difference is amazing. Again, this is only wind noise. If you ride a motorcycle without ear plugs you are insane and will go deaf. With this helmet I went to Nonoise earplugs (they didn't work well enough with the Neotec) and can now listen to music on my Sena SMH10 at half the volume I used to; its amazing how much better those speakers sound when you aren't driving them at full volume all the time. Zero lift from the lid and the turbulence created by the fairing mounted mirrors on my bike is almost not even noticeable. Definitely expensive, I would not pay US list price for any helmet. I picked mine up for about $500; at that price point it was a no-brainer. September 23, 2015
Great features, Very Quite Been about 400 miles so far. Got to one of the Best Full Face Mod Helmets made I would sure buy it again!! September 21, 2015
Worth every penny! Amazingly quiet. Can put on and take off WITHOUT removing my glasses! A+ Fit is perfect. I really love the chin strap that is easy to latch and remove even with gauntlet gloves on. They built a great helmet. Won't look back. September 21, 2015
