The perfect match for the Airwave ladies' jacket, these trousers are also great summer over-pants to wear on top of your jeans when commuting. The large air mesh panels allow for maximum cooling, but that's not all: they're on and off in seconds, thanks to the long side zippers, which go all the way up to the hip. Reflective panels at the lower legs ensure great visibility at all times, and the fit is designed specifically for a woman's body. Even more, the Knox Flexiform CE-approved armor is located in height adjustable pockets, allowing you to position the armour just the way you like it. Available in classic black or daring off white.
lots of protection
Didn't get too much time to ride with these but there is lots of protection to these and takes away the sauna suit of the pants that don't allow airflow.

I just bought these and rode for about 50 miles in them yesterday. I ordered true to size, and I think overall they fit fine with just a little extra room in the seat when I'm walking around. Seated they feel fine, not too tight or loose. I wore leggings underneath too. They zipped comfortably over the top of knee-high boots. The knee armor stayed in the right places without additional adjustment and I didn't feel overheated (it was around 74 degrees and sunny). The hip padding adds some bulk but it's an okay trade-off for the protection.

Los great on my wife, although shoe room the hip protectora of, for better styling.

You've got to get these to match the Air Wave Jacket!
The fit and finish is super and the pants really flow air. If you invest in the jacket you must get these pants. Great bang for the buck and the styling is super.

Great Hot Weather Pants
These fit great, feminine and TALL.
Finally a good fit and with the Airwave jacket we are very comfortable above 80 degrees and good down to about 70 degrees. Lower than that we need something underneath.

I would recommend this pant. Great airflow and comfort.

not a good product.
I have been riding for almost 20 years. So these are not my first pair of riding pants. The protective padding is quite thin. Also the full length zipper on the inside of the leg gets caught on the foot pegs if you are on the shorter side during take off / stopping. Possibly would be OK if you are a passenger only. I wore them one time and will never wear them again. I would rather be safe then sorry. Zippers should be on the outside or back of the leg.

Theresa C:It depends on your sizing. There are two adjustment straps around the waist which allows you to cinch the pants a bit tighter depending on the fabric of your pants (I switch between cargo and jeans depending on my work day).
With regards to the waist, though I've never just wore the pants by themselves, I surmise that if you are at the tightest adjustment while wearing a layer underneath, it'll be too loose when you don't wear a layer. On the other hand, if your adjustment is just at the midpoint or maybe on the wider side when you've got a layer, you should be able to wear the pants without layers by cinching the adjustments tighter.
With regards to the legs, these pants are quite loose around the legs for me. They're not tapered like some of the more racing oriented gear, so if you're not wearing any layer, you're going to feel a little weird with all that extra space/air in your legging.Aug 14, 2013
Judith S:Hi - yes you can wear them without a layer. I bought a size 38 (I am 5' 5" - 140lbs) and wear jeans/thick long underwear underneath for cold weather.
I also bought a size 36 so that I can wear them without an inner layer. There is a very thin black lining which prevents your skin from showing through the meshed areas. They are really comfortable and very flattering.
The zipper is on the inside of the pant which is good and bad. Good in that if you fall off the bike, you won't experience road rash from the zip gouging your skin. Bad in that the zips tends to swish when you walk - an annoyance at times but not purchase prohibitive.Aug 13, 2013
Andrew E:(I am writing this through my husband's account.)
YES - these CAN be worn without a layer underneath. They are the most comfortable and breathe the best WITHOUT a layer underneath. They are NOT see-through.
That being said, I use these as over pants because I commute to work on my bike, and can't be bothered to change in and out of them. I find that even with wearing a layer underneath, they are still relatively comfortable and still breathe pretty well. If I were going out for a longer ride and not commuting to work, I would wear these without a layer underneath for increased comfort and airflow.Aug 13, 2013
Anthony C:While these "could be" worn without any layer underneath, they are see through. Granite the see through mesh is mostly in the legs, but I still think it would be a bit strange to only wear these with underwear. I guess that would be personal preference though....I would say these would be good with a pair of armored shorts, but really the armored shorts are shorts. FYI - I use these over pants or shorts and I always take them off when I reach my destination. They are really that easy to unzip and take off, assuming you take off your shoes or boots. If you only wear shoes, you can slide shoes through.Aug 13, 2013
A s:Hi! Yes, they can be worn without a layer underneath, with an undergarment being the one exception. If that were the one garment worn, I'd recommend a dark color. I've worn these with either shorts, light leggings, jeans, or heated pants underneath, and of course always with mid-calf riding boots. The materials are not scratchy, which is great. The mesh is really good, even though its fairly dense. They're also easy/quick to get on and off. I love these pants, and wear them on nearly all rides. Hope this helps!!Aug 13, 2013
Kris O:Yes, they are very comfortable without pants underneath because of the softer material lining the inside. I usually wear thin shorts because they don't have much room, at least in my case, for additional layers. They need to be hand-washed, so by wearing a layer I don't have to wash them each time, since they are a bit bulky. (Must remember to remove protection/armor to wash, btw.) I am 5'8" and weigh about 124 lbs and the 36's fit very well.Aug 13, 2013
Colleen M:Yes, they absolutely can be worn without wearing a layer. In fact that is how I ride in them. I live in Phoenix, AZ and purchased the white version for summer riding. They have worked exceptionally well and I receive compliments on how well they look on me. I am 5'7", 170# and wear the size 42. I highly recommend these pantsAug 26, 2013
Tom D:Hi, I purchased the revit womens airwave pants for a motorbike tour we did in Thailand, I didn't wear any pants underneath and they were perfect, breeze could still get through and they were really comfortable, if you really wanted to wear something underneath I would suggest leggings. Extremely happy with them!!Aug 18, 2013
Roland D:Bought these for my girl friend for whom they did not fit but fit me perfectly. These are my daily commute wear with just my underwear. Starts getting a little to cool to wear these with temps less than 65 deg on a non faired bike at highway speeds. Skin cannot be seen through the robust but airish weave.Aug 13, 2013
David G:I bought these for my wife in black. She is confident that they are not see through. The material is comfortable enough to be next to the skin without abrasion or chafing. So, yes they can be worn without layering. She did say she wasn't sure if they were white in color. Hope this helps. Aug 14, 2013
cheryl c:i have always just worn underwear or cycling shorts under these. it is very hot where i live and it seems to defeat the purpose of being cool if you layer under them. they have a smooth liner in them that makes them comfortable against your skin.Aug 14, 2013
MICHAEL C:Sure the liner is soft enough. I wear them to work over my Dockers, and on weekends over shorts, so I made sure they were big enough for that. Keep that in mind if you think you will be using them as over pants also.Aug 13, 2013
DAVID N:Yes you can. Barb wears them like jeans. Summers are just too hot here in North Carolina to wear an additional layer under the Rev'Its. Hope this helps you make a decision. Barb really likes the fit and style.Aug 13, 2013
william t:I haven't worn them that way. It was colder weather when I was wearing them. I think you could, depending how they fit. Mine are quite loose so I'd probably wear at least shorts. Aug 13, 2013
RevZilla:The REV'IT! Women's Airwave Pant is only available in standard lengths, however, there are a couple of other women's pants offered in the REV'IT! line up that can be purchased in short, standard, and tall lengths that might interest you. You might like the REV'IT! Women's Ventura pant or the Women's Gear 2 pant; both are offered in short, standard, and tall inseam lengths.May 2, 2012
WCS4th:Hi Kerry - It looks like REV'IT! makes the Women's Airwave pants in a short length. There is a size chart on Revzilla you can check out - or you can give the Revzilla guys a call for assistance.
Brooke B.:the revit airwave pants in size 34 fit me well- I didn't have to have them hemmed (not sure if that would even be possible to do easily). I'm 5'0" and 110 lbs, with an inseam that's about 26".Aug 24, 2012
