Nice jacket for hot weather My girlfriend loved it as her first riding jacket, size was spot on, ventilation is excellent, protection is adecuate to good, I upgraded the back protection to the recommended by Revzilla which is pricey but the best peotection is a must. May 25, 2015
Good fit for petite women As this is my first jacket I purchased myself, I don't have a lot to compare it to...it was the only jacket that I tried on that fit my frame, though--I'm 5'00" and an athletic 110 lbs. Everythig else looked way bulky and the protective pads didn't sit right/proportionately. Got the 34 and it fits like a glove, but can still reasonably fit a light down jacket on underneath for the cooler days. May 17, 2015
Great lightweight jacket This jacket is perfect for the summer and gets a large amount of airflow. Lots of pockets are very helpful as well. The pads don't stay all that well in their pockets though and need some additional enforcing. May 11, 2015
very cool jacket looking for a summer jacket, this revit perfectly fits my needs. the only drawback is that you need to buy back protector. December 1, 2014
great warm/hot weather jacket I live in Central America so I definitely needed a jacket for hot and humid weather. I was hesitant to order one online but couldn't find a jacket here in my size. This is my first motorcycle jacket, so I don't have anything else to compare it to, but it's very comfortable and the extensive mesh is greatly appreciated. It fits snugly (in a good way) and is very comfortable while riding. I researched jackets a LOT before deciding on this one. I'm 5'7", 138lbs, 36C chest and ordered the size 40. (I found the measurements in other people's reviews were very helpful when trying to decide on a size.) October 11, 2014
Great Basic Jacket I bought this jacket for my girlfriend before a 3 day trip into the mountains in NC. The weather ranged from 90 degrees when we left Atlanta to mid 60s in the Smokies. She was comfortable the whole time with only an additional mid layer when it dropped into the 60s . The jacket is basic but very well made and the sizing is dead on. I took her measurements and compared them to the sizing chart and the result was a perfect fit. This is a great hot weather jacket if you don't need all the bells and whistles. I was jealous of the breathability at 90, so I will probably be purchasing one for myself for the 90 degree + days of a Georgia summer. June 9, 2014
Fits like a dream! I always knew Rev It makes awesome fitting women's gear, I own a winter touring riding jacket and leather pants, and they pretty much have become my go-to outfit despite owning a whole wardrobe full of other brands of riding gear. I have a petite build; time and time again Rev It delivers the right fit and comfort. I am 5'4", 120 lbs, usually an XS, size 4, 26" waist... the size 36 mesh jacket was a perfect fit. My touring jacket because of all the layers is a 38 (when it's cold enough I can wear an extra layer underneath). I bought this jacket as my summer riding jacket and did not disappoint; it kept me cool, the styling is amazing, it fit like a glove, flattered the lady shape like crazy, and the silver-black combo most importantly made you more visible on the road. Good jacket for riding in hot weather. I've ridden in this jacket a few times so far, and I'm very happy with it. It's styled to be a snug fit, but comfortable. The body armor sits in the correct positions -Revzilla staff made sure all was good. I did purchase a different back protector for it- a better one that was recommended by Revzilla staff. Good airflow- which was what I was looking for. I purchased the white, because I wanted a light colored jacket for the summer sun and good visibility. My only complaint is that I wish the sleeves were maybe 1/4-1/2 inch longer- when I am riding they are just a tiny bit too short- but I have that problem sometimes in clothing as well. Overall, it's a good jacket that I would recommend. May 26, 2014

RevZilla Store asked: Why did you choose this?
Winnie W T: This jacket has helped me survive +100 degree weather. A saviour in hot weather. I am 5'5" 120 lbs went with the size 36. I love Rev It riding gear just because their European fit is perfectly flattering for petite shapes. Highly recommended and a great bang for your buck! Jul 1, 2015

Aidan J asked: My girlfriend is 5'4 about 150 with DD bra size. She is full figured and has broad shoulders. What size jacket would be best? Aug 11, 2013

Adam M: My wife got a 40 and it fits her well. She's 5'6", 145, C cup. Hopefully that gives you some idea. Aug 12, 2013

Sandra S: I am 5'4, and my chest is 40 inches around. I wear a size 8 in clothing, and my bra size is 34DD. I have a 42, and it is nice and loose on me, but the shoulders feel good. I could probably go down one size, but I lost weight since I bought mine. Depends on how tight you want it. Hope this helps! Aug 12, 2013

Aidan J: Yes thank you this helps a lot! I was planning on getting a 42 cause it doesn't need to be skin tight on her and I want her to be comfortable. Aug 12, 2013
Julie C: I'm quite the opposite of curvy so the fit/ size purchase of the jacket may not be of much help but here it is. I'm 5'-6", 137 lbs and wear a 38 Airwave.

In my opinion, Airwave jacket may not accommodate fuller figures very well. I'm fairly modest at top and narrow around the hips and the jacket just fits me. The Velcro adjustment tabs around the hips are maxed out when worn over my riding pants- also Airwave. I think the sleeves are going to be way long if your GF needs to go up in size to accommodate her bust.

Good luck.

Hillary E: The best way to find out would be to use REV'ITs size chart and compare her measurements. For a refernece, I am 5'8", 150lbs, athletic build with 34b bra size. I ordered a size 42 in the Airwave and it has a little room to breathe. I could go down one size but I like a little extra room. I hope this helps. Aug 13, 2013

Chet A: My wife, who has similar dimensions although taller and a bit bigger in the bust, purchased a 44. It fits great . The 42 was too snug in the bust. She would suggest purchasing a 42. Given the great Revzilla return policy, you can return if it doesn't work out . Aug 12, 2013

michael b: The jacket has very European fit to it "it runs extremely small" likely you will need 2-3 sizes larger than her normal size "which means sleeves wont work. I would suggest you look at the Tourmaster line instead . Aug 12, 2013

Grace F: I'm 5' 6", 133 lbs, C cup... Size 36 fits perfectly. I normally wear tank tops or t-shirts while riding in this jacket for summer, and wanted it to fit close to my body for protection. May 14, 2014

A s: My daughter got a size 38 and she is 5'2" maybe 120, not so broad shouldered or full figured. The 38 fits her perfectly. Hope that helps. Euro sizes can be tricky. Aug 12, 2013

david l: I bought the extra small for my gf. She is smaller framed (chest too) and around 125-130. It fits her pretty tight. I'd say try medium first. Aug 12, 2013

A shopper asked: Is this jacket waterproof/water resistant? I live down south and want a breathable jacket that can take a mid-afternoon showers if need be. Thanks! Mar 31, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Grace F: There's enough mesh that you do get quite wet if it's pouring while you're riding. I've only been caught a couple times in steady rain. I'd liken the rain protection to something like standing under a tree... You won't get soaked for short periods, but you won't stay dry during long periods or downpours. May 14, 2014
Reply to Grace Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Sandra S: This is NOT waterproof. it's breathable because it's a textile mesh (Cordura, I believe). You'll definitely get wet whilst wearing it, although if it's a light enough rain shower, it's better than just wearing a t-shirt and getting pelted with 60mph rain drops. Hope this helps! I wish I knew the answer. We never got caught in the rain. I'm inclined to doubt that this jacket is water proof, however, because the mesh is so tightly woven, it may offer some resistance, barring speed on the bike of course. wish i could help more.

Brian P: No this jacket is not water resistant. My wife was caught in a brief shower her first time wearing it and was completely soaked. Still, it a nice mesh jacket. Apr 1, 2014

Genevieve G asked: Hey Guys.

Trying to get advise about cleaning. I was going to hand wash, but I wasn't sure if regular detergent would be too abrasive. Should i use regular soap (like Dove) or dish soap?

Aug 13, 2013

John H: Bought the girl version for my daughter. We haven't washed it. But also bought the male for myself. I have washed it once. Uses only a small amount of laundry detergent with some baking soda. Used the hand wash cycle on my washer (front loading) and an extra rinse. I hung it up to dry. I haven't noticed any problems...yet. I removed the pads before I washed it. Aug 15, 2013

Nicola S: Wash on the delicate cycle and with very little soap - after just hang dry. Aug 14, 2013

ray e: On what, ??? The leather should not be washed but just wash the liners in cold , gentle cycle with mild detergent and hang to dry . A good leather cleaner and hand removing the dirt from the leather is what I do for the bugs that get on the front of leather. Aug 14, 2013

Genevieve G: I think that's a different jacket - this one doesn't have any liners (unless I was ripped off!) and i dont think there's leather on it. But thanks for the advice - i've got a good leather cleaner/protector that i have on hand for my other jackets Aug 15, 2013
ray e: My bad , that is a different jacket Aug 16, 2013
Kim C asked: I'm considering ordering this (and the pants) to wear on an extended trip from South Texas into New Mexico going from high desert to mountains. The temps will range from 90 degrees to 45 degrees. I see that this has great airflow, but if worn with a base layer, will it keep you warm at the lower temps? I'd love to be able to use it during the South Texas winters which don't normally get that cold. Also, I'm petite (5'0" and 105 lbs) Will the XS be too small for layering a base layer? Thanks. Aug 4, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
lisa m: I love this jacket but it's not warm enough for 45. I highly recommend a heated jacket in addition to this jacket. A heated jacket will not take up a lot of space. If you get a heated jacket get a temperature dial. I installed my dials directly into my bike. I talked a couple of friends into this setup and they all said it was the best investment.

As for the size i can't say for sure. 45 is very cold on a bike especially if you don't have a windshield?

Good luck and have fun!!

michael b: yes it will be too small as these are European sizing , you may find 2 sizes larger are necessary or a medium. Sep 30, 2014
Reply to michael Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)

We highly recommend finding a cloth tape measure and taking the time to take these measurements.  REV'IT! sizes will not necessarily correlate with fitment in other brands.

  • Chestwidth: Measure from under/top of armpit cross chest to under/top of other armpit, then across back to first armpit
  • Waist: Measure at the hourglass of your torso, (circumference measured at your belly button)
  • Hips: pelvic bone to pelvic bone, the widest part of your hips below the waist
  • Inseam: from crotch to big ankle bone
  • Outseam: from waist to big ankle bone
