REV'IT Windsor Jacket

The REV'IT Windsor Jacket is an excellent option for warm weather riding. The cotton shell is lined with 3D mesh to keep air moving around your body and with the inclusion of two huge vent panels on the chest, you can really turn on the AC when it is hot out. Knox Lite CE armor is included in the shoulders and elbows and a pocket allows you to add a Seesoft back protector.  The old school field coat styling is something that will never fade and REV'IT! has done a great job of taking an enduring classic and adapting it for riding. REV'IT! Windsor Jacket 4.7 5 13 13
Windsor Jacket I finally found a small after looking for this globally and unfortunately its not sold here in Australia which is crazy considering its one of the driest continents...anyway bought this jacket for Summer here and am currently wearing in Winter with a jumper underneath and its warm ..it was 3 degrees yesterday, fit is great arms are perfect for riding upright stance, I got the hood sewed to my collar so its on permanently and reduces the flapping whilst riding. The material is worthy , its strong durable and would stop hopefully lacerations of consequence if one came off. So far love it. I think it could have been a touch longer at the waist to make it perfect but its the best riding jacket out there that does not resemble the fabled storm trooper look. Cost me 50USD to be sent to Australia and its worth it. Great features and pockets, zips, big front pockets, love it. July 12, 2016
Good urban jacket Green is darker then what is shown in video. Came with some stitches loose, but not be deal. Although you would expect better quality control from rev'it. Wish it had a exhaust vent would be much better. I'm 5'8 160lbs average built and med fits me well. This jacket does best in dry mid 60's to 80's anything colder you would want to layer up underneath, anything hotter is tolerable as long as you are moving. Jacket material reminds me of canvas. Love this coat... but theres some caveats From my experience in DC, where it gets pretty hot and also pretty cold, this is more of a spring, fall, and winter coat. I used it all winter with no problems actually even into the upper 30's and low 40's, just have to layer up. I find it to be a bit too thick for summertime traffic even with the vents open. But if you live somewhere where you're moving more than sitting at stoplights, or for summer highway riding, it would probably work. Love the look of it and it has a decent amount of pockets. Love that it's armored, but very inconspicuous about it. I get lots of compliments on it actually. June 6, 2016
Great for the price I am 6' and 180lbs, I bought a large. It fits well in the shoulders. The arm and overall length are great, its a loose fitting jacket on me (I am on the skinnier side) without any layers on. With all the padding in (including the back plate, which was $50) you can't even tell and it isn't as heavy as some of the other jackets I've tried on. I have ridden in as low as 40F (had a long sleeve on under it) and as high as 80F and been completely fine in it. The ventilation options work well, I do agree it would have been nice to have exit vents in the back so it didn't blow up like a balloon on the freeway, but hey it keeps me cool so I'll take it. The zipper being on the left side has been a little weird to get used to, but I actually like it. I also like the interior pocket as well as the breast pocket that can be accessed without unzipping the coat. I haven't encountered any rain yet but other than that I love the coat. Definitely recommend it to someone looking for a non-moto looking jacket for a cheaper price point. May 14, 2016
Great looks-hidden protection I'm 6'2" 280#. I ordered the 3xl. The fit is snug, as it should be for a protective piece of gear. I live in Tucson, so I'm sure it will be a bit warm come summer but thats a price I'll pay for the awesome looks of this jacket. May 6, 2016
It is a sexy jacket. I'm six foot 210 lbs and the large fit me perfect. The jacket looks better in person. Not waterproof at all. Fine for riding around town at 40 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit but on the freeway you want it to be about 60 and sunny (without layers). It is hard for people to tell that you have any pads at all on or that it is even a riding jacket. Thick enough that you feel some protection but thin enough to be comfortable in warm weather or for casual wear. April 5, 2016
Great Jacket, yo. So yea, this Rev'it Windsor jacket has been my favorite jacket to date. I ride a GS but I hate how "moto" most of the jackets on the market look. The city-urban collection form Rev'it seems to fit the bill for how I like jackets to look while commuting in the city. I get a lot of compliments on this jacket. I wouldn't recommend this as a winter riding jacket but it'll definitely do you right for the remaining seasons. January 25, 2016
Stylish, protective - great for LA weather I have a leather for cold days, and this for any other day. It allows air to flow freely and with the CE rated shoulder and elbow protection it is definitely worth it. I am 5'8 160 lbs and the medium did not fit quite as well. The small fit perfect. The Windsor is by far one of the cooler new city collection pieces from REV'IT!. One color only, military green. We really dig it. It almost has a heavy, hardcore, duck canvas style feel to it, very interesting, its design. It also has an asymmetrical style to the front. Now you see, it's waist-length. I have Peter wearing the only version there is which is the green version, and again, it's going to be positioned for really three-season warmer weather. REV'IT!'s really gone into this thing which is the on-the-bike, off-the-bike summer city collection, really European inspired. And this is, in our opinion, the leader of the new pack. Remember there's the Hillcrest in that collection. If you want waterproof breathability which the Windsor does not have, look at something like the Concorde.

Now if we look at it, it's going to be over that $300 mark. Peter's wearing a size large, six foot, 195, 42-inch chest. There's no surprises here. It's not an overly boxy cut, it's not overly sports cut. Again, it's meant to be casual and almost conceal the armor, which is CE-rated Knox Lite shoulders as well as elbows, as he's rocking this on the bike in the riding position or if he's just rocking it wherever he needs to go, great for commuters out there, great for a city folk. Now remember, we're going to ship it for free if you're curious if you're not sure about sizing, and you can always click here, subscribe to us at RevZilla TV. Let me know if you like the Windsor as much as I do.

Now back into the nuance of the jacket here. Removable hood here at the top. You're going to see the classic YKK zippers and a lot of the upgraded details that you get here with the REV'IT! City Collection. These buttons styles which are metallic, they're also spring-loaded. Now notice here on the left side, the right side has it rolled up and you can always unsnap that, roll it down, and zip it. There's your direct ventilation. On the left side, because it is asymmetrical, similar functionality but that's how you would do it. And you would be able to bring that up, exposing the 3D mesh, but there's also 3D mesh in the yoke, which also create a little space from your body, allows that air to circulate as this is a heavier jacket.

Two pockets down the front, and if we open it up here, snap. You're going to see the lining here, great attention to detail. And then on the inside, notice the two-way zipper on the bottom so if you're sitting upright, if you're rocking a scooter you'd be able to split it, and you see that it's using the micro-mesh on the inside. There are cinches as well. Notice cell phone pocket on this side.

Now bring this back down, turn your face away from me. I talked about the Knox CE-rated Flexiform Armor. Notice the gusset in the panel. If I had to nitpick, I'd love to see them work some type of exhaust port or even a porthole under the arm to allow some of that air coming in through those front vents out through the back. But again, REV'IT! you went on the side of style and I appreciate the fact that you made a clear decision and just rolled with it. Notice here, it snaps along the hood. Turn backward for me Peter. No back protector, Type RV CE Level 2 is the additional purchase you'd make from REV'IT! and you see the clean line as it moves back down toward the waist. Come back around to the front.

Remember, check out the other City Collection from REV'IT!, compare it here to the Windsor, and the Hillcrest, the Concorde, if you want that waterproof-ability there.
