REV'IT Windsor Jacket

The REV'IT Windsor Jacket is an excellent option for warm weather riding. The cotton shell is lined with 3D mesh to keep air moving around your body and with the inclusion of two huge vent panels on the chest, you can really turn on the AC when it is hot out. Knox Lite CE armor is included in the shoulders and elbows and a pocket allows you to add a Seesoft back protector.  The old school field coat styling is something that will never fade and REV'IT! has done a great job of taking an enduring classic and adapting it for riding. Whether you're on or off the bike the Windsor Jacket will look great, truly a piece you can wear everyday.

Great Jacket, yo.
So yea, this Rev'it Windsor jacket has been my favorite jacket to date. I ride a GS but I hate how "moto" most of the jackets on the market look. The city-urban collection form Rev'it seems to fit the bill for how I like jackets to look while commuting in the city. I get a lot of compliments on this jacket. I wouldn't recommend this as a winter riding jacket but it'll definitely do you right for the remaining seasons.

Love this jacket
Looks and feels great. I've gotten compliments on it by people who didn't even realize it was motorcycle gear. The color is more army-olive than the green it looks like in pictures. The detachable hood is a great feature. It can flap on your helmet annoyingly at times. The air vents are helpful on a hot day, but you're still going to be miserable in stop and go traffic. I love all the pockets the jacket has. The fit was also perfect for me. Just a great all around jacket for anyone who doesn't want to look like a spaceman on their bike. Hoping mine will last for a long time.

Come see how good I look!
This jacket looks awesome. It's slim cut, not too long, and has a certain drab green-ness to it that begs for a morale patch or two. The chest flaps are nice since they can roll up or down as you desire. I'm 5'6" and around 165 LBS- the small fits me and I can still fit a long sleeved shirt and t-shirt underneath. The collar is a little short without the detachable hood, so you might want something to cover your neck if you are riding in cooler weather. My only real beef is this- there isn't anywhere to stow the hood if you don't want it... weird. Also, make it waterproof!

solid and stylish jacket
this jacket is fantastic. I am not a fan of leather, and this jacket not only looks the part but feels so solid. the armor stays put. looks terrific off the bike. watch the video review. in it, they mention its a 3 season warm weather jacket. its true. in cold temps it breathes so much that it can't withstand a winter ride.

Stylish, protective - great for LA weather
I have a leather for cold days, and this for any other day. It allows air to flow freely and with the CE rated shoulder and elbow protection it is definitely worth it. I am 5'8 160 lbs and the medium did not fit quite as well. The small fit perfect.

Great jacket
I bought this jacket primarily for summer fall spring use. Fits that bill perfectly especially if you layer underneath for colder temps . Have received many compliments on appearance

Awesome jacket
It looked good on pictures and on the video... But I was so pleasantly surprised of how awesome the jacket actually is in person. Fits great, looks awesome (and sexy), and a cool jacket overall! Great job! Now just make some cool pants to match it....

Great for the price
I am 6' and 180lbs, I bought a large. It fits well in the shoulders. The arm and overall length are great, its a loose fitting jacket on me (I am on the skinnier side) without any layers on. With all the padding in (including the back plate, which was $50) you can't even tell and it isn't as heavy as some of the other jackets I've tried on. I have ridden in as low as 40F (had a long sleeve on under it) and as high as 80F and been completely fine in it. The ventilation options work well, I do agree it would have been nice to have exit vents in the back so it didn't blow up like a balloon on the freeway, but hey it keeps me cool so I'll take it. The zipper being on the left side has been a little weird to get used to, but I actually like it. I also like the interior pocket as well as the breast pocket that can be accessed without unzipping the coat. I haven't encountered any rain yet but other than that I love the coat. Definitely recommend it to someone looking for a non-moto looking jacket for a cheaper price point.

It is a sexy jacket.
I'm six foot 210 lbs and the large fit me perfect. The jacket looks better in person. Not waterproof at all. Fine for riding around town at 40 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit but on the freeway you want it to be about 60 and sunny (without layers). It is hard for people to tell that you have any pads at all on or that it is even a riding jacket. Thick enough that you feel some protection but thin enough to be comfortable in warm weather or for casual wear.

Great looks-hidden protection
I'm 6'2" 280#. I ordered the 3xl. The fit is snug, as it should be for a protective piece of gear. I live in Tucson, so I'm sure it will be a bit warm come summer but thats a price I'll pay for the awesome looks of this jacket.

I really like the casual style of this jacket, and I was looking for something like this for a long while. I suppose to use it for everyday rides home to work and a bit of weekend riding in countryside.

Just curious if the jacket are comfortable in hot humid tropical weather?
Wonder what size should i get? i'm 185cm with 44inch chest.

when will this jacket be available?
A shopper on Apr 24, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I just got mine a week ago. I'm not sure how long the wait will be (if at all) if you order this now. I preordered mine in February. I can't blame Revzilla for this though, it was the manufacturers fault. You would'nt blame Bestbuy if Sony didn't deliver their shipment of Playstations on time, right?
Anybody knows Sleeve length for LG size on this model? thanks!
valo b on May 7, 2016
Hi. does this jacket works in modérate cold? In The morning the temperature drops to 45 degrees Fahrenheit. Thanks.
Nicolas R on Feb 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I wear a hoodie underneath it and it's fine. I've ridden this way with the temperature as low as 35 degrees Fahrenheit and my body wasn't cold. My hands and legs were haha!
Is the hood removable?
A C on Jan 16, 2016
BEST ANSWER: The hood is removable. I love this jacket. Great for spring, summer and fall.
Does this jacket offer any abrasion resistance in a slide given that the outer is made of cotton?
A shopper on May 5, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Hi there, it is a street and urban jacket. I eould not tske it to the speed track, that for sure. Having said that, it is a fairly thick cotton, enough to eithstsnd a street fall. I recommend it.
Love the jacket and the color, but does the jacket material provide any protection if you go down? Will it just shred in a slide?
A shopper on May 30, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Nobody knows because the jacket hasn't been released for purchase. It's a month behind the scheduled release date. It does have lite armor in the elbows and shoulders with the option for a back protector that's sold separately. I preordered it but canceled it when it wasn't available at said date.
Waterproof at all?
joseph p on Apr 16, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I believe the Rev'it Concorde jacket is, though. Cool looking jacket. Worth checking out.
So reading about it seems that this jacket is for Summer only ..not really suitable for an Australian winter where temps drop to 15 degrees in the morning, or would this be suitable with a sweater underneath and if it is wind proof its going to stop all shivers?Am looking at the Opera or this for an overall jacket but the Opera seems like it covers all bases?
A shopper on Mar 31, 2014
BEST ANSWER: This is a three season jacket, primarily for summer, spring and fall. I'd suggest you have another jacket you can use when it gets really cold or just get a 4 season jacket.
Can you please tell me what length are the sleeves for a Large? I am 6'1" and am concerned they will be too short.
A C on Nov 28, 2016

The Windsor is by far one of the cooler new city collection pieces from REV'IT!. One color only, military green. We really dig it. It almost has a heavy, hardcore, duck canvas style feel to it, very interesting, its design. It also has an asymmetrical style to the front. Now you see, it's waist-length. I have Peter wearing the only version there is which is the green version, and again, it's going to be positioned for really three-season warmer weather. REV'IT!'s really gone into this thing which is the on-the-bike, off-the-bike summer city collection, really European inspired. And this is, in our opinion, the leader of the new pack. Remember there's the Hillcrest in that collection. If you want waterproof breathability which the Windsor does not have, look at something like the Concorde.

Now if we look at it, it's going to be over that $300 mark. Peter's wearing a size large, six foot, 195, 42-inch chest. There's no surprises here. It's not an overly boxy cut, it's not overly sports cut. Again, it's meant to be casual and almost conceal the armor, which is CE-rated Knox Lite shoulders as well as elbows, as he's rocking this on the bike in the riding position or if he's just rocking it wherever he needs to go, great for commuters out there, great for a city folk. Now remember, we're going to ship it for free if you're curious if you're not sure about sizing, and you can always click here, subscribe to us at RevZilla TV. Let me know if you like the Windsor as much as I do.

Now back into the nuance of the jacket here. Removable hood here at the top. You're going to see the classic YKK zippers and a lot of the upgraded details that you get here with the REV'IT! City Collection. These buttons styles which are metallic, they're also spring-loaded. Now notice here on the left side, the right side has it rolled up and you can always unsnap that, roll it down, and zip it. There's your direct ventilation. On the left side, because it is asymmetrical, similar functionality but that's how you would do it. And you would be able to bring that up, exposing the 3D mesh, but there's also 3D mesh in the yoke, which also create a little space from your body, allows that air to circulate as this is a heavier jacket.

Two pockets down the front, and if we open it up here, snap. You're going to see the lining here, great attention to detail. And then on the inside, notice the two-way zipper on the bottom so if you're sitting upright, if you're rocking a scooter you'd be able to split it, and you see that it's using the micro-mesh on the inside. There are cinches as well. Notice cell phone pocket on this side.

Now bring this back down, turn your face away from me. I talked about the Knox CE-rated Flexiform Armor. Notice the gusset in the panel. If I had to nitpick, I'd love to see them work some type of exhaust port or even a porthole under the arm to allow some of that air coming in through those front vents out through the back. But again, REV'IT! you went on the side of style and I appreciate the fact that you made a clear decision and just rolled with it. Notice here, it snaps along the hood. Turn backward for me Peter. No back protector, Type RV CE Level 2 is the additional purchase you'd make from REV'IT! and you see the clean line as it moves back down toward the waist. Come back around to the front.

Remember, check out the other City Collection from REV'IT!, compare it here to the Windsor, and the Hillcrest, the Concorde, if you want that waterproof-ability there.
