I bought both this jacket two weeks ago and like the look, style, and functionality. However, I find the exterior stiching on the jacket to be substandard. Its been only two weeks and the stitching around the front pockets has already begun to fray. The zippers on the arms of the jacket (near the wrist) do not hold when zipped. While riding, the zipper opens up on its own and I am constantly zipping it closed. A zipper should not open this easily. Aside from these two issues, I like the jacket and the way it looks and fits.

Excellent Jacket

This is my first armored jacket (previously I just wore regular leather jackets), and I don't regret the decision to move to armor. It's not very noticeable, even with the SAS-TEC back protector (bought separate and cut to size). Seems like it will be pretty effective.
I think the sizing and quality is better than other jackets at this price point. I also tried on the Rainier (the arms were cut funny, so I had a hard time reaching the bars without effort) and XMoto (nice jacket, seems a little cheaply made and the armor worried me). I measure 41" chest, 36" waist, and I'm about 175lbs @ 5'11" - the large fits me well, though I have to cinch down all the sizing straps when I have the liners out.
Not as cool in the hot weather as I'd like, though I've worn it in 100 degree weather with a beating sun and I was fine as long as I kept moving. The vents work better than similar vents in my leather jackets, and I'd guess about as well as you're going to get without going full mesh. XMoto looks like it might have this jacket beat in that department, but don't be fooled - you're going to be hot just the same, so you might as well have the better protection RevIt has to offer.

I normally wear a large jacket. I ordered the XL it fits perfect. I would recommend talking to the tech support team they are very helpful.

Rev'It, o Rev'It, how I love thee

This is my second Rev'It jacket and it hasn't disappointed me thus far in the riding season. I've ridden in anything from 24C to 2C weather, with sun, rain, hail and snow, and this jacket has performed as I fully expected it to.

I love the versatility of the multiple liners, plus the redesigned venting system on this thing REALLY works. Even with the rain liner in I don't overheat in 20+C weather, which is something that my Dragon couldn't do.

The quality of material and stitching is noticeable and the attention to detail with the design of features is fantastic. I also prefer the Euro fit of Rev'It's gear to the bulkier cut that most NA brands offer.

I know I sound like a fanboy, but all my Rev'It gear looks great (I get lots of compliments all the time), has held up really well and most importantly, fits really well. I compare that to some of my friends' gear and you can tell the difference. I'd say for the price point of the Sand jacket you're getting a great jacket.

REV"IT! Sand Jacket

OK I'm 5' 10 and 190 lbs. My measurements are 42 chest, 43 gut, and 38 waist. I am usually between a L and a XL and have to go with the XL because of my gut. But this jacket had enough expansion in the gut that I could go with the Large. This makes the sleeves at a better length and I can adjust it snug with or with out the liners. This jacket is also comfortable even when adjusted snug. The arms and shoulders move well for my riding position.
I added adjustable to the tag line because not only is it adjustable for the fit it is adjustable for the weather. I thought I was going to have to buy at least 2 jackets. One for temps below 70 and a mesh for temps above 80. I have ridden a few hundred miles with this jacket now in weather from 48 to 76 degrees Fahrenheit and was comfortable at both temps. I'm sure it will go a little cooler and a 76 it was very cool with the arm vents, chest vents, and back vents open. The three dimensional foam chest vents that open wide were nothing short of awesome. They really shot the cool air around my chest. I have had chest vents on jackets before but nothing that really worked.
I gave this jacket a 4 star rating because I'm not so sure that I like the snap adjustable collar. ( Velcro gives you infinite adjustment and you don't have to feel around for that stinking snap and as noted else where the zippers on the cuffs tend to slide up. (This only happens to me when the liners are in and I may be wearing gloves that cover the zipper in that weather anyway so it may not be a bother. ) If I were re=designing the jacket I would put a small flap with snap or Velcro at the end of the cuff just for the sipper as I really like the zipper. These are minor flaws compared to what the jacket does right. I'm glad I have it and it is going to get a lot of use as I do not think I will need anything else.

PS I bought the safari Brown which is what I would call olive green and I love it. It does have the red strip on the sleeve.

Great Jacket!

Just went for my first ride with this jacket and it's great! Very high quality and kept me nice and warm early in the morning at low 40s. I usually wear a large and the XL fit's me perfect. I didn't think I would like the large pockets in the front but they are quite handy. If i were to change one thing abouth the jacket. It would be the velcro in the sleves(around the wrist) would be over the dual zipper. I find that the front half of the zippers like to creep up. One more thing... The black and silver version does not have the red stripe like shown in the picture. It grey instead.

Sand Jacket and Pants

I am very pleased with the experience of ordering from Revzilla! Patrick helped me with the sizing; he was very professional and easy to speak to, along with having the knowledge to help me choose the correct size. I am between a Medium and a Large a size, so I ordered one size larger. I am looking forward to wearing the Sand Jacket and the Sand Pants, in the upcoming riding season! I believe that this jacket and pant system will allow me incredible flexibility of not over heating in hot weather, and staying warmer in colder temperatures. I feel that I have purchased a very professional and safe riding system! At this moment I rate this jacket a 4 out of 5 stars, since I have not used them yet.
I will not hesitate to order from Revzilla again. I believe Revzilla is a top notch company, and I love the Teamzilla rewards program towards new purchases! What a great Idea!
