This jacket is awesome. It does the job. I wear it for everything. Does what it needs to do in the rain or shine or the wind or calm wind. Love the jacket. Would recommend to anyone looking for a all around jacket.

Other than some cosmetics (buttons, pockets) and the fact that this is Gore and the others are Revi't version of Windblock what are the differences between the Upsilon, the Ranger and the Digital? The photo makes it look like the Ranger is more bulky is that correct? I am looking for an insulating layer/mid layer for my Rallye 2 Pro and have narrowed it down to these choices. Don't want anything too bulky but need something that will take me down into the 40's

Also have you had any negative feed back on the top buttons? Seems like they may interfere or be bulky around the collar when worn underneath an outer jacket.

Answer: 
The concept behind the Ranger is that both the Gore-Windstopper and thermal elements are included fully throughout the entire garment. Other choices have only one or the other, or like the Samurai an incomplete combination. This structure does make the jacket more of a mid-layer than a base layer, however, it also makes it much more wearable as a functional piece of apparel off of the bike.

So far we haven't had any negative feedback to speak of. I personally own the Samurai WSP and use it constantly during the colder months. Anthony has this Ranger jacket and wears it to work most colder days, regardless of riding the bike or not.
