No black hands! I had expected the glove to bleed black onto my hands after the first wear but the liner in place prevents it. Last few pairs of summer gloves didn't offer this so I was pleasantly surprised. Fit is a bit on the tighter side, most noticeable when your hands get hot after riding. June 3, 2013
good in cold weather too i bought these back in january or february and i was surprised how good they are for short jaunts in cold weather. i wore them one day for a 90-mile ride in high '40s and was fine. May 28, 2013
Nice subtle styling with clever protective elements Great pair of short gloves. They fit excellent once broken in and I love the understated styling. Protection wise the seams are stitched well and the leather and padding are doubled up in high impact areas. The leather covered TPI molded knuckle protector is a nice touch too. Not the gloves to be canyon strafing in but great all around summer city pair. May 6, 2013
Worth every penny These are my go-to gloves in warm weather. I have used them for the last two years and they show no signs of irregular wear. If I ever do wear them out I will certainly buy another pair.... April 30, 2013
feels great! this item is slightly small, hard to insert hands but once your hand are in, it feels great! April 29, 2013
Get a size up and they're great Little snug to get on due to the styling, but once on they fit like a well-made glove. Comfotable and look nice with excellent protection. Nice for 3 season riding in the Carolinas. April 29, 2013
Fits like a glove... Most reviews say rev'it runs small but I think with leather your going to want to get a glove true to your size and let it break in. At first the XL was tight and I also wear a wedding ring after 1 day riding they were broken in and felt perfect. Not bulky they have good feel through the leather very good style. February 11, 2013
Great short cuff glove Ok so let start of by saying that I'm somewhat of Dainese loyalist, but when it came to a pair of gloves to complete the cafe look for my Thruxton, I just couldn't find something that was stealth, somewhat cafe, and protective all in one glove. So I looked into the Rev'It line and found the Fly. Great pair of gloves. I've only ridden with them once last week in the 40 degree NY weather on a fairly windy day. Lets just say my fingers were not frozen solid, which was impressing given the amount of perforation these gloves have. Fitment wise, they do run a bit small. After reading and watching several reviews, I went with a size XL (I wear L in all Dainese sport gloves, etc...). So they run a bit small but definitely give the snug sport feel which I didn't want to give up going to something down from a full race gauntlet glove. Hard knuckle and and separate knuckle protectors make this a fairly well equipped glove. The feel at the handlebar is great. Really a good balance of feel, protection, ans stealth style for a glove that doesn't pretend to be anything that it isn't. Needless to say I'm very pleased with my choice. February 7, 2013

How hard is the knuckle and finger armor on this glove?

I'm looking for a glove with great protection, yet still looks sleek (not very flashy or technical looking). Is the knuckle armor as hard as on the monster glove? And how well do you think these would do in a crash situation compared to other gloves?

Answer:
The Fly Gloves offer a PU injected finger knuckles and knuckle, schoeller®-keprotec® at palm, EVA foam at palm. The Monster has an upgraded Carbon Knuckle protector which will offer a quality level of protection while reducing the weight of the glove. All REV'IT gloves are designed to offer maximum protection to the rider within the level of protection the rider chooses to wear.

Hard enough for protection but you don't even know is there since you don't feel it at all.

Answer:
They will protect your hands in a crash but they are not going to protect like a "more technical" glove with sliders & etc. The leather is tough in my opinion. The stitching is fantastic as i have had no quality issues such as frays or loose threads. I think they will offer abrasion resistance with not much impact absorption if you are trying to get the best answer as far as "great protection" is concerned.

Answer:
Pretty darn hard. In a light-midweight summer glove, the amount of protection is impressive. Definitely go one size larger than your actual glove size and see my review bout restrictive thumb movement...

Answer:
I don't own monster glove. So I can't compare. But the knuckle protection on this pair seems quite sufficient.

Answer:
I liked the fact that the armor is covered in leather so the glove looks a bit more classy in my opinion. The protection is quite good, and with the right size, they will not come off in an accident. They fit like a second skin, flexible yet lots of protection. Not quite as heavy as the monster, but great protection and value.

Answer:
I can't compare it to the monster glove but it is very rigid; it's a lot stronger than a plastic or rubber knuckle guard. There isn't a ton of protection on the fingers themselves but I'm not sure how necessary it is.

Answer:
The monster is definitely better protection if they're made well. I bought a pair of each at the same time. The monsters are going back because the fingers are longer on the right than the left. Also, the left cuff is so loose when closed that i can fling the glove off my hand. I have zero faith they'd stay on in a crash.
As for the knuckle armor, it's much tougher on the monster. The fly knuckle armor can be folded in half. The monster, not so easily.
