I waited to do this review until I had a chance to ride in mide 20 degree temperatures in the snow and the rain. The pants kept me warm and dry and that was only with 1 pair of long underwear on. These pants are a small fit so you should order a size larger that you normally would. I have owned a number of different pants and these ones have all the features that you could possbly want. The fit and look is great and the product lives up to the claims the RevIt makes.

Like the pants. I'm a shorty so they are slightly longer (knee pads a little lower than ideal) than I'd like, but other than that they are sweet. never used the themal liner and my morning commute is in the low 30s. All in all pretty darn good.

The one comment I would like to make is on the ventalation in the legs. I was riding in the summer, with minimal clothing underneath & No Liners due to the heat. the 3D mesh is a little prickley on the skin. Also this is the only vent to allow air flow. Behind the Big GS Adventure there is no air coming in. When in the standing position I am able to get some air but venturi effect as there is only one vent. The features on the pants with the Exkin Lining are nice, but if your size is on the cusp I would go up a size. The adjustability will over lap the smaller size with out the liners for warmer weather.

Couple of months ago I bought the Defender GTX jacket and I loved it, so I decided to buy the matching pants. Priced at $600 made me think a lot before purchasing the pants but now I am very happy with them. My previous pants were REVIT Mistral size 54Long and my Jeans size is 38 x 34, so I was not sure if I should buy size XL or XXL. Being 6ft 4" tall I knew I should go for the TALL length but I was afraid XXL would be too big. Thanks to Patrick Roscoe from REVZILLA I choose the right size (XXL). They fit perfect!!! I love the GTX pants for its soft materials, adjustability in the legs to have enough room to wear over tall boots (like Alpinestars Scout WP)), and its versatility in terms of weather (a real 4 season pant). The light weight outer shell textile breathes much better than the heavier textiles found in the Cayenne Pro and Sand. The Gore-Tex Rain liner also does a much better job breathing over the standard liners as well. Conclusion: the price difference is for the ability to use in a wider range of temperatures, and it is worth every penny.

I had been looking into getting an all weather pant. I was shopping at a lower price point but decided to wait and save a little more for this purchase. Well I'm glad I did. These pants perform exactly as stated in the video review by Revzilla. I sized them to work as an over-pant. I wear a 34 34 pant. I went with a XL in the Rev It. I'm happy with the fit with just the gore liner installed. With the thermal installed they got a little tight as an over pant which is what I expected. I recently did a tour with temps from the 50's to 80's. It was great to be able to configure the pants to the weather of the day. One day was spent in the pouring rain. Around 7 hours at highway speeds. I remained dry and very comfortable the whole ride. The venting worked well on the warm days. I will be purchasing the jacket now to make a complete set-up.

I bought the REV'IT! Defender GTX Pants and Jacket in April. And in typical April spirit it was warm, cold, raining, and hot. I got to try out every feature from the thermal liners to the GTX liner and vents in every combination imaginable. Talk about getting what you pay for and paying for what you get. No buyer’s remorse at all.
I was debating between a size medium and large. I’m 5’11” and 155lbs. I felt like I was swimming in the large and the mediums are a little short in the ridding position. I ended up going with the mediums. I just have to make sure a Velcro the cuffs around my riding boots and no major issues.
I know they say that these are not and over pants. But with the GTX and Thermal liner out I have no issue wearing a pair of thin jeans under them.
Thanks Kat for the help. For those of us that live in the Philadelphia area we are very lucky to be able to walk into the showroom and get A+ care.

The quality of these pants matches the service you'll receive at Revzilla -- excellent!
Fit is bang on the second time round. That said, be sure to order the pants as you would a pair of jeans with respect to length. I made the mistake of ordering the first pair using the fit videos which instructs measuring to the ankle bone. This is true while shopping for leathers that slip inside boots, but these pants sit outside the boots, thus requiring a longer length, like a regular pant legth. I assumed the manufacturer compensated this difference...wrong. Revzilla was very accommodating in the exchange for the proper size.
