Hi-Viz Outer Barrier
My Rev'It Vapor jacket has done a fairly decent job keeping me dry in the rain thus far, but it does take quite a while to dry out. I decided to get some actual rain gear for those times where I know I'm definitely going to get wet.

Went with the hi-viz color, which is REALLY hi-viz. I paired this jacket with the Acid H20 pants in black, great looking combo.

My one and only gripe is that the sleeve length seems to be about an inch too short. The sleeves stop around the wrist bone, and expose the bottom of my riding jacket sleeve. Not a deal breaker, but slightly disapointing. Rode this past weekend in the rain and it definitely does its job. It comes with its own carrying case, and packs nicely into that. Aside from the sleeve length abnormality, buy your normal size and it'll fit right over your exsisting gear.

GREAT WINDBREAKER OVER-ARMOR JACKET
Im 6 foot 3, 150 pounds
Size large works well for me to throw over my existing armored jacket.(american sized medium armored jacket)

Zipper is very good quality, Nothing is uncomfortable or restraint to me.
Velcro at the biceps, wrists and zipper. and waist adjuster at the bottom.

The raised neck part helped keep wind off my neck but you will still need a balaclava to stop all wind from finding its way to your neck if on highway in low 40s-50s. The sleeves arent going to be long enough if you dont have gloves that cover your wrists.

I got the high viz color and so far ive only worn it as a wind resistant over-jacket and it has served me very well. If i can ill update this review when i can test it in the rain a couple times.
-Brandon

Added wish notes: I want more reflectiveness in the build, something even more comfortable and softer around the raised neck part if thats all possible for a similar priced newer model in maybe 2016? :)

Excellent jacket
This is an excellent rain jacket designed to fit over your leathers. The jacket very effectively blocks the rain and wet from seeping in, and surprisingly to me was also very effective at blocking the wind. I was dry and toasty warm during a very wet ride through the mountains.

On a side note, I bought this from Revzilla on short notice and was very happy when it arrived in 2 days with no special shipping. Good job Revzilla!

Performed exactly as needed
Just finished a long tour that fortunately offered mostly great weather - but on the first day out I encountered heavy rains for the better part of an hour, and stayed dry. I was also especially glad to have it during one stretch through heavy fog - much more visible in those conditions with this jacket than I would have otherwise been. Fit was great, and it packs up light and small, which made it even better. Would have liked a bit more breathability, especially on the last leg when temps were climbing and showers - some heavy, but intermittent - occurred through most of the day: it got too warm to leave the jacket on the whole ride, and so the final 200 miles was continuous routine of stopping to put it on, and stopping again 30-40 minutes later to take it off. But, for the protection and packability offered at the price, I can't really complain.

Great thing to have under your seat
Last night i got caught in a thunderstorm. When the first drops started falling I pulled into a gas station under the awning at the pumps. I took my REV'IT! Cyclone 2 H2O Rain Jacket and my REV'IT! Acid H2O Rain Pants from under my seat. This was my first time wearing them. I was 15 miles from the house. When I made it home I was dry except my feet where water had soaked through the tongue area of my boots. I was quiet impressed I had made it through a torrential downpour with 45 mph winds and was still dry.

Great waterproof gear
First I would like to start by saying that I live in a place where it rain daily for 8 months of the year so I've used it since I got it for a dozen or more times and it is great! I've used it in heavy downpours, in rains so bad that the city got flooded, in just regular rain and just a couple of droplets, I've never got home wet in any place. I have both the yellow pants and jacket and although it is bright I prefer to have bright equipment at night than black but that's just me. To this day it has work great and I haven't found any flaw except that it has no pockets but that's about it.

Normal product
The Jacket is very simple, does not have pockets, does the jobs very very well. In my city rains a lot so I use it frequently, but what I use the most is the little bag where the jacket comes in folded, that pouch I use it for my chargers and all electrical connector, the rain jacket is in my 4 season jacket rear pocket. I chose green and I think is the best color since it does not come with many reflective stripes, and in my country it is necessary to have reflectives at night, but the color helps a lot.

Good, simple rain jacket
The Cyclone 2 has kept me dry in heavy rain. The materials feel more durable than the original Cyclone jacket, which lasted me 3 years before it started to lose its waterproofing. It doesn't have great airflow, but that comes with the territory of occasional use rain gear.

My only complaint is that the sleeves aren't quite long enough. I have a size medium and am 6' tall. If I am not careful, it is easy to pull one of the sleeves off of a glove. I did not have this problem with the original Cyclone so they must have changed the sizing slightly.

I liked the HV version on the Cyclone H2O Jacket more than the Rev'It Nitric Jacket. It looks very stylish! Bought this jacket together with the Rev'It Acid H2O trousers.

Rev'It gear is top notch. Finding a rain jacket of this quality for less than $80 is tough. Went with the plan-jane version to make it the smallest possible when packed.

Do I need to size up to fit over a Tourmaster Air intake 3 jacket? Thanks
Matthew B on Jan 12, 2016
BEST ANSWER: NO you don't need to but I would recommend you to.
The jacket is designed to fit fine over another jacket but the sleeves are short, I wish I purchased a bigger size yet I don't regret getting the jacket. It works great
When this is packed, how big is it (along with the pants if you have em)? About the size of a two-liter Coke bottle? Or bigger?
Scott E on Aug 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have both the jacket and the pants. They each come with a little bag. I just measured the two bags together. Side by side, they are 9" height x 9" width x 4.5" deep. And, that's loose, with air, not tightly packed. You can squeeze them down probably to about 8x8x4.
These are decent. Good suit for the money. I wish the pants had a foot strap, so that the pants would stay down. When riding in rain, the pants ride up (as any pants would), and your boot / leg will get more wet than it would if there was a foot strap. It's not so much a design flaw -- it's just that the addition of the strap would be welcome. Perhaps one can sew on a strap or put rubber bands around your ankle....I haven't tried that yet.
does it have a hood?
Garry G on Sep 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No. It has a two inch collar that gets the jacket up to your helmet, but no hood.
Would this cover a Revit Sand 2 jacket or is it too short at the waist?
Norman B on Jul 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Norman, I'm 6'3" and my jacket reaches to just below my hips. I wear it over a Dainese Air Frazer jacket and there was plenty of room. Looking at the Sand, it might be a little shorter, but not much. Also, I just road in this suit during an entire day (13hrs) of rain and sometimes torrential downpours and stayed completely dry. Beware....the HiViz Yellow is very, very bright!

Welcome to our detailed breakdown of the new Rev'it Cyclone 2 H2O Rain Jacket available at Revzilla.com.

This is the new Cyclone 2. It is a very stowable, very lightweight rain jacket from Rev'it, fully waterproof but this the no-frills option. Now remember, Rev'it's from the Netherlands, they make premium European inspired gear. And I mean European and inspired, it is European. But again, they've dipped down gotten you close to that $60 mark in giving you more than you are expecting in a very inexpensive package. But again, giving you that waterproof protection in a pinch. Now keep in mind if you want to go with some of the other frills and there's a few other ones in the line, check out the Quartz, check out the Nitric 2, check out the Guardian but the Cyclone 2 and again, it's an update over the original Cyclone, comes in black, Hi-Viz, and the big changes here are going to be the update in 3M Scotch lite and they've improved the zipper functionality for this year going with more premium YKK that will just hold up better over time.

Other than that it's basic, it's waterproof. From a sizing standpoint, use a size chart, buy your normal jacket size and it will be size plenty big to go over top of your gear. Hi-Viz Brian's wearing a jacket on underneath. You'd see how it fits him out, fills him out and there's some adjustability in the biceps here. That doesn't change from model to model.

Now diving back into the Cyclone 2, if we look at it, we talked about the stowability and the no-frills factor. Remember, it's waist length while that Nitric 2 is going to be more hip length. And again, it has a bit more of a sport orientation. You'll see though some of things that I really like about this option from Rev'it is they finish it off quite nicely. You see the rain gutter, remember, it's tape seam surround, not going to go all the way down there. When you open it up you're going to see, nice fleecy zipper garage at the top and there's fleece on the inside, it's not going to bite your Adam's apple. And again, it just has a nice line to it.

When you look at the sides, you're going to see the side goes down in a very simple fashion. You have a big patch of 3M reflective there, which is now one the upgrades that are actually using the real deal stuff which performs better. If we raise his arm, no adjustability, basic cinching down here along the bottom. You're going to see, there is a waxed pull there. You're going to be able to cinch it in down around. It's just higher than the hip whereas that Nitric 2 is going to go much lower.

Along the back, again, basic Rev'it logo, reflective, at the collar there's no baked in hood, you go to the Nitric for that. Come back around to the front and let's open it up. I do have one gripe with the Cyclone 2 though and that gripe is that there's no internal waterproof pocket. They should just give you at least one to stick your cell phone in, they didn't do it. But if we look at the front here, you'll notice, it is a zipper garage. There is our waterproofing. If we open it up, remember, this is non-PVC. So while it's not a Hydra texture like a Gore-Tex that's fully breathable, it's going to be much more breathable than some the other cheaper PVC rain gear that's out there that really is just like wearing a trash bag. Don't get that stuff, you're just going to sweat. It's like being a terrible terrarium.

On the inside of this guy notice there's no slip liner either, that would be something that you'd upgrade into in the Nitric 2 that has that full mesh slip liner, makes it a little easier to get on and off over your gear. But one of the things that somebody when we were evaluating this gear internally, I believe it was Buzzsaw said, "I love this because it's so tiny, so compact, comes in a stuff sack. Even if you're on an R6 in a pinch, you can keep it under your seat and you'd be good to go". That's what you need to keep in mind. Won't break the bank and its tiny and minimal.
