Rev'IT CR Race Suit I purchased a size 58... My measure ments 17.5" arms 46" Chest 40" waist (around belly button 36" Hips 32" inseam The suit is just about 1/2 inch too long on the legs other than that it's probably 1/8 of an inch loose everywhere else... this was fitted with a base layer. There is still room to use a back support this will probably take out the slack. All in all Better than other Dainese suits i have owned in the past, construction is top notch Rev'It quality, fit is dead on!!! it's a very good fitted suit Highly suggest and reccomend them to those looking for a suit under the $1000.00 mark. Is the sizing meant for with or without a back protector (and I mean a real one like the Knox contour or Revit Gravity)?

Answer: 
You should not size up to accommodate a back protector. Race suits are designed to be worn with a back protector, which means there should be enough room in your normal size.

SIZING INSTRUCTIONS

We highly recommend finding a cloth tape measure and taking the time to take these measurements.  REV'IT! sizes will not necessarily correlate with fitment in other brands.

  • Chestwidth: Measure from under/top of armpit cross chest to under/top of other armpit, then across back to first armpit
  • Waist: Measure at the hourglass of your torso, (circumference measured at your belly button)
  • Hips: pelvic bone to pelvic bone, the widest part of your hips below the waist
  • Inseam: from crotch to big ankle bone
  • Outseam: from waist to big ankle bone
