RAM Mounts Universal Cell Phone Holder 4.6 5 33 33
Great Product I was hesitant at first about how much grip this thing has. Believe me I put my smartphone on it and ride my R6 pretty spiritedly and it does not even move. April 16, 2015
No Slip Grip! I've got a 2014 Moto X in a case, and when attached in this, there is absolutely no slip whatsoever. Simple to remove, and simple to install. I'm using this along with a Ram Mount HandleBar Bold Ball, and a 1" Socket Arm. All have given me no issues at all. Would definitely recommend! March 30, 2015
Great mount I think I may have installed mine slightly incorrectly, but I followed the instructions, so I thought, and it still spins forever, never quite tightens down. But still works perfectly and is extremely helpful! March 16, 2015
Surprisingly good I bought this for my bike and found it so easy to use and holds my smart phone (a very large Samsung Note 3) so securely that I bought another for my car with a suction cup mount. March 14, 2015
nice mount I like this mount so far. Have not had much of achance to use it yet because of this rotten winter. Holds phone securely. It can rotate a little bit as others have mentioned, but i dont see this being much of a problem. March 9, 2015
I'll probably never have to buy another phone holder again. My previous phone had two holders. A summer one and a waterproof one (which overheated my phone on sunny days). I also had to remove my phone's protective case in order for it to fit into these holders. They also don't fit my new phone. My new phone fits this RAM phone holder even with it's protective case. It will still work if I change to a waterproof case. It will still work when I change my phone again. I use it in the landscape move for extra security, but it still feels secure in the portrait mode. February 16, 2015
Awesome! This is a great product! I had an iPhone 5c, which is held firmly and securely know matter what the ride condition is. I just upgraded to an iPhone 6+, and it even holds that large cell phone with ease. Highly recommended! February 16, 2015
Sways back and forth more than an inch! FATAL DESIGN FLAW! Don't know where these 5 star reviews are coming from? Mine locks the phone in nicely and then sways back and forth more than an inch. I'm waiting for Revzilla's warranty department to get back to me with a decision. I thought it was a defect and took video that I then sent to Revzilla. Looked on Amazon and there were several videos showing the design flaw. This product is fatally flawed. DO NOT PURCHASE! February 13, 2015

I chose the X mount because it can hold a variety of shapes and sizes. I have an iPHone 4s currently, but will upgrade to an iPhone 6 when they come out later this year, so the screen will definitely be bigger. The X mount will be able to hold either with ease.

Jay A: I can help you some.

First off, know there is more than one size option for the xMount. Although you may or may not want the wrong size. I recommend finding them in person somewhere to try fit. Me I have a large phone, didn't realize there was an x Mount for large phones. It still works though.

A couple things though. Phone mounted in landscape mode very secure. Not sure I'd trust it mounted portrait on road and likely not off road. Them there is the phone side buttons placement. My phone sits off center because the Mount would be on the volume buttons. This is no problem on my smooth k1300s, but on my hypermotard vtwin the out of balance Mount allows it to move around a bit more than I'd like, but still very usable. I would prefer it centered especially on the ducati, but is more a problem of volume button location than x mint size. Galaxy note 2 btw. Off Road worse than dirt roads might still work, but me I don't even bring my phone in pocket off road, I crash too much and phone to expensive. But probably fine for dirt roads.

Also, ram recommends super gluing the rubber tips on for motorcycle use, I did, and it seems very secure all in all, grip never seems to slip.

Kyle S: No, it comes with what you see pictured. You'll need to purchase the type of mount and receptacle for the 1" ball to allow it to swivel. Of course the type of mount will depend on where you want to place the holder i.e. handlebar? dash? tank? etc. It is an excellent holder....the best I've owned yet. Feb 26, 2014

Fernando C: Thanks, Kyle. I appreciate the response. Feb 28, 2014
Allan A: I believe in your case in addition to the cell phone holder you would also need a double socket arm as well as a U-bolt base to connect to your handlebars. Feb 26, 2014

Jesus B: Yes it should work with a Iphone 6 and the plus as well. I own a HTC Desire 510 which is the same length as the plus and I previously owned a HTC EVO 3D which about the same length as the 6. You just have to position it right as to not depress the buttons on the side. This a great mount I highly recommend it. Feb 12, 2015

Daniel N asked: Will a Motorola razor maxx fit this product? Apr 26, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Gretchen A: Size wise, it will fit. I have a Razr M (which is smaller) and it would be secure with or without a case. One of the clamps sits nearly over the power button on mine so it works better if you have a case. My husband has the Razr Maxx and the power/volume button is in generally the same spot as the M. The clamps are sturdy and even if you have to offset it a bit, it holds well. I also use it with my ipod touch when I just want music. Apr 27, 2014

MANAN B: I used it to mount a Samsung Galaxy S4 and it has a solid hold on the phone. I don't know how it compares to the Motorola, but it is universal and can fit a wide range of phone/gps sizes. Jun 25, 2014

Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
David T: Yes and yes. This will work and yes you need to pick a " arm " of different lengths that suits your needs to fit in between the two.

PS... the X mount works great on my phone.
Do a search for Ram products......
Dec 30, 2014
Reply to David Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Kyle S: Yes.....You will need the piece to connect the two ball mounts which is included in the stem kit sold by Revzilla. It has a knob in the center to tighten and set the two ball mounts in the desired position. Dec 30, 2014

Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Tom L: The end of this mount is an 1" ball, it requires a RAM armature in order to mount to another ball. If your Techmount ball is also 1" it will work, otherwise you would have to find different size armature or different size ball.

That said, RAM has all sorts of mounting options available if you don't already own the Techmount base.
