Beware the rubber cap As previously stated, yes the rubber caps will migrate off. They must be glued on prior to departure! I had my S3 depart the bike at 65mph. Ram did step up and send me 8 replacement caps but did not offer to compensate me for phone repairs. My "Overall & Bang for Buck ratings" were based on the fact that this product was not "ride ready" out of the box. October 13, 2014
Very nice grip but be aware! This Cell phone hold is great, best one yet, however my phone dropped from it and broke because one of the rubber mount come loose. After talking to a friend of my that has the exactly same holder, he told me that he almost lost his phone too, but after supergluing it rubber parts , no proble. So, I did superglue my and have been great since! September 30, 2014
Awesome Phone holder works great. Did not move on road and off. Good high quality product. September 30, 2014
Quality product. Holds my phone with out a lot of vibration, should last a long time. September 21, 2014
Great holder This holds my phone very securely (Nexus 4 in a bulky Heavy duty case) Went on a 250 mi ride with it and it didn't budge, even over 6-7 miles of gravel road. September 12, 2014
Great product This, as well as all RAM products are great. It holds my phone perfectly still at high speeds. September 12, 2014
Ram mount worx works... simple... Phone is secure at over 100 MPH. Need I say more ;) August 11, 2014
great for road trips I fit this on my Yamaha FZ8 to carry the galaxy S4 and occasional iphone 4S. Rode about 1700 miles back and forth and not once was worried about my phone falling off. Absolutely worth securing my phone/gps/music player. Do be aware of not texting and riding at the same time. You would be surprised at how easy it is to do. August 4, 2014

Donnie B: It's a RAM mount. The best in the business when it comes to holding our phone, tablet or GPS.

I chose the X mount because it can hold a variety of shapes and sizes. I have an iPHone 4s currently, but will upgrade to an iPhone 6 when they come out later this year, so the screen will definitely be bigger. The X mount will be able to hold either with ease.

Bryce A asked: Has anyone used this on a dualsport on and off road? Is it secure enough for that? Aug 14, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Jay A: I can help you some.

First off, know there is more than one size option for the xMount. Although you may or may not want the wrong size. I recommend finding them in person somewhere to try fit. Me I have a large phone, didn't realize there was an x Mount for large phones. It still works though.

A couple things though. Phone mounted in landscape mode very secure. Not sure I'd trust it mounted portrait on road and likely not off road. Them there is the phone side buttons placement. My phone sits off center because the Mount would be on the volume buttons. This is no problem on my smooth k1300s, but on my hypermotard vtwin the out of balance Mount allows it to move around a bit more than I'd like, but still very usable. I would prefer it centered especially on the ducati, but is more a problem of volume button location than x mint size. Galaxy note 2 btw. Off Road worse than dirt roads might still work, but me I don't even bring my phone in pocket off road, I crash too much and phone to expensive. But probably fine for dirt roads.

Also, ram recommends super gluing the rubber tips on for motorcycle use, I did, and it seems very secure all in all, grip never seems to slip.

Kyle S: No, it comes with what you see pictured. You'll need to purchase the type of mount and receptacle for the 1" ball to allow it to swivel. Of course the type of mount will depend on where you want to place the holder i.e. handlebar? dash? tank? etc. It is an excellent holder....the best I've owned yet. Feb 26, 2014

Fernando C: Thanks, Kyle. I appreciate the response. Feb 28, 2014
Allan A: I believe in your case in addition to the cell phone holder you would also need a double socket arm as well as a U-bolt base to connect to your handlebars. Feb 26, 2014
Reply to Allan Good answer? Yes (0) No (0)
Brock G: No, it does not. You'll need to buy a handlebar mount and a connecting arm. This is just the cell phone holder with a Ram ball on the back. Feb 26, 2014

mike h: You will need a ram ball and the arm to go on the ball plus this mount . This is a great holder! Feb 26, 2014

Daniel N asked: Will a Motorola razor maxx fit this product? Apr 26, 2014
Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Gretchen A: Size wise, it will fit. I have a Razr M (which is smaller) and it would be secure with or without a case. One of the clamps sits nearly over the power button on mine so it works better if you have a case. My husband has the Razr Maxx and the power/volume button is in generally the same spot as the M. The clamps are sturdy and even if you have to offset it a bit, it holds well. I also use it with my ipod touch when I just want music. Apr 27, 2014

MANAN B: I used it to mount a Samsung Galaxy S4 and it has a solid hold on the phone. I don't know how it compares to the Motorola, but it is universal and can fit a wide range of phone/gps sizes. Jun 25, 2014

Answer this · Send to friends Good question? Yes (0) No (0)
Chris G: Not that I'm aware of. I would contact the manufacturer. I'm sure they'll be able to supply parts. Failing that, I would look at fitting a rubber cushion that are sometimes under the hood of your car [to prevent metal to metal contact]. Sep 25, 2014
