1250 miles in 4 days, no issues
Purchased the tires at the recommendation of a fellow rider. The day after they were installed, I went on a 4 day ride to Big Bend national park. In those 4 days I rode through mist, rain, mud, fog, hot and cold roads, and then a final ride on I-10 with an average speed of 85+ MPH and I can say never once did I feel these tires give way. After the first day, I lost all my hesitation of them, and ran with full confidence. I would highly recommend these tires to whoever is looking for a good sport tour.

Pirelli Angel GT
After 600 miles there is a noticable difference between Pirelli and Metzler tires. Pirelli rides so much softer and handles the twists and turns easily. The wear on both front and back at this point is even, no cupping or flattening seen. The Pirelli's look good too and were not an issue to mount. The Metzlers I had were the Z8 that came with my bike and were not a bad tire, Pirelli's are just a better tire.

Great handling tire
Tires handle great. Good grip and turn in. Too early to tell on tread life and wet traction. But so far sooo good.

Great so far!
I purchased this set of tires before heading out on a 4300+ mile trip. They were mounted to a 2006 Hayabusa. The bike was moderately loaded with a Givi 360e topbox, a small stuff sack, and riding one up. The tires handled great and made me realize how bad my old tires were. There were no grip issues in either rain or cool weather. After making the entire trip there is some visible wear down the center from all of the highway miles (~70% of the miles), the flat spotting should go away as I start to ride more back roads and less highway miles again.

Overall I am very pleased with the tires and would recommend them to anyone else looking for a sport touring tire.

What Kind of Rider are You?
If you are seriously considering these tires on their ability to do what they were designed to do, stop worrying about it and just buy them. They are as advertised and are wonderful for: touring, wet traction, non-track style sport riding, and about everything else a normal rider would encounter in their day to day. If you're someone who's looking to regularly/ever drag a knee while riding, buy the Diablos; these will not make you happy. If you are basically anyone else, these will be perfect. As a caveat to all this, I will say that I've yet to ride through any rain on these bad boys, but I have spent some time out just after it stopped raining and I noticed little to no difference in the overall performance of the tires. Also, not that any of you are really looking at these for their off road pedigree, but I have taken them on some dirt. Can confirm they suck at that. Solid at everything else though :P

A Big Surprise
I got tired of waiting for backordered Michelin GT tires to come in and with a trip coming up soon I opted for the Angel GTs. The Angel GTs are by far the best tires I've ever had on my BMW 1600 GTL. They are very quiet, handling is terrific and the softest riding tire that has been on the bike.As to wear, I only have about 3k miles on them so far but they still look like new.I highly recommend them!

Super sport touring tire
I have a K1600GTL that is pretty hard on tires. My original set of Metzeler Z8s were toast after only 4000 miles and never really felt planted even when new. I tried these even before there were any reviews and I'm glad I did; I have 4000 miles on these and have many more to go. They are great in the wet too; rode through a 300 mile solid rainy day and felt as secure as in the dry. I'll definitely get these again.

With these tires, the bike falls into corners effortlessly and feels smooth as butter. Ride like a dream in all situations. These tires would make a timid rider anxious to drag knee. That's how great they are.

Think this is set two for this year, I ran Dunlop Q3 for summer fun. These give good feel and confidence during the inclement weather conditions of winter but still allow a good amount of grip and superb longevity. Another instructor uses this and concurs with all the positives listed in the comments.

It was time to replace my factory tires. I used to race sport bikes, I always used Pirelli SC1 and SC2 depending on track conditions. Pirellis worked great at track speeds, I believe they will work great on my Versys 1000 on the back roads. I purchased the A spec tires to handle touring weights.

I love this tire, after 10,000 miles of use I still love this tire. It is a great tire period. It is great in the rain as well, I've had zero issues stopping in the rain and have felt very comfortable in the rain. The tire grip is excellent, and I am very happy to stay with the Angel GT.

Great tires! I have gone through 2 sets on my BMW R1200R and got 10,000 miles or so each time. I ride an 80 mile round trip to work and back daily, and all of it is highway.

Had been using Pirelli Rosso and do a lot of canyon riding in Malibu and the ACH but also slab it when riding to more distant locations with the sport bike club. The Rosso's were wearing out pretty quick so I am trying the Angel GTs and so far so good--sides are pretty sticky.

Along with the Metzeler line, these tires seemed to be everyone's favorites via reviews. Have Metzeler's now on my BMWR1100S ABS but again, since not riding so much these days, felt best to get the Pirelli's since more affordable.
Diego F L on Feb 29, 2016
I need a set of tires, and the Angel GT had good reviews and a good price. I was deciding between this and the Pilot Road 3's, which are in the same bracket of performance and price. I decided to go with the Angel GTs because many reviews say they have a longer usage life.

If I didn't buy new tires my local fellow riders may have lynched me. I had Angel GTs on my previous bike last summer before someone helpfully hit me and it was written off, and they were amazingly nice tires for the price.

Is this tire suited for a Triumph Sprint ST 1050?
I have read comments that the GT version is not suited for lighter bikes like this.
In the past I had PR2 but I read some good reviews on these.
I currently have an Angel GT as rear tire but the front needs to be changed now and I'm not sure if I should switch to an Angel GT there as well or a PR4. So that in the future I should switch my rear tire as well to a PR4.

I commute in all weather except snow/ice but also like to take corners fast and work on my knee down :-)
A shopper on Aug 20, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I ran the Angel GT's on my 2011 CBR600RR and loved them. When I sold it I had about 5500 miles on them and the rear was just barely starting to show signs of wear. I too am an all weather rider. I commute to work and get some twisties in when I can. These tires were awesome. A lot of my friends ran PR3's so when I put new tires on my current FZ1 I opted for the PR4's but would have no issues putting the Angel GT's on it in the future.
I know I need a 120/70/17 but what's the difference between 58 & 59? I know W is the speed rating I want but I've never seen this number in front of a speed rating...
Susanna S on Nov 29, 2015
BEST ANSWER: That number is the load rating. Dont think it will make much difference. I would just stick with the same load rating as what is currently on your motorcycle.
What is "A Spec"? I have a 2016 FJR1300. Should I choose the regular or A-Spec?

Can this tire be used with an inner tube? I am looking at them for an older super moto.
A shopper on Nov 15, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No idea if you can use it on an inner tube. However, it's the only tire I will ride on my Supermotard. Amazing grip and longevity (almost 8k miles on a rear or front).

correct tire pressure for angel gt?
A shopper on Feb 21, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I run 40 front, 42 rear, with 5000 plus miles on a set put on in June of 15.
I own a naked bike that comes in at 500lbs. I am debating between the Pirelli Angel GT and the Mich. Road Pilot 4 GT.

Anyone have any thoughts or opinions on which is better suited to a local rider who wants good grip in the turns and doesn't tour?
A S on Oct 18, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I've had a dozen sets of Pilots and will now only ride Angel GTs. One of the best tires ever for street & canyons. Amazing grip & twice the longevity of Pilots (you'll get 7k-8k miles out of them, no joke). I've yet to take them to the track but can't wait..
where's the arrow that indicates direction of rotation on the front tire?
A shopper on Oct 20, 2014
BEST ANSWER: It's on the sidewall. It isn't really clear you have to look closely for it. The arrows of the tread should be pointing towards the back of the bike if you are looking at the top of the tire when mounted.
