Pirelli Angel GT Front Tires

Pirelli débuted the new Angel GT Tires on Basque soil in Bilbao, Spain accompanying the newest edition of the Multistrada 1200 S Granturismo. The new Angel GT Sport Touring tire will be standard equipment on the latest version of the Borgo Panigale model.

The Angel GT boasts 15 percent more mileage than the Pirelli Angel ST without sacrificing performance. Pirelli has labeled this as “Performance Mileage."  The primary design was to provide regular wear and excellent water drainage guaranteed by both the front tires and by the new groove design on the rear. Pirelli is using a dual blend compound that allows for high mileage in the center with a higher percentage of silica on the sides offering maximum performance, even in wet conditions.

In the end, the Pirelli Angel GT is a great option for long distance riders with a fully loaded bike, or for those who are looking to optimize performance on their short daily getaways. From sport bikes to touring and everything in between the Angel GT will not disappoint.

Features:

  • (W)-rated for speeds of 168+ mph
  • Ideal for sport riders looking for increased mileage without sacrificing grip and traction
  • Extended Mileage Sport (EMS) tires provide best-in-class for mileage and grip
  • Rear tires feature new Bi-compound formula improves cornering traction
  • Improved wet grip
  • Tubeless

Based on Angel ST Experience I have been thoroughly pleased with the Angel STs and several friends put on Angle GTs last year and were also very pleased. Grip and Stability is the major theme of these tires whether leaned over or upright, wet and dry. They keep on working to the end of tread-life too. April 14, 2014
more than happy I'm onto my second Angel GT tire on the rear of my bike but this is the first on the front and the grip is great!. The wear on the rear has been +20% over my previous rosso II's which were very sticky and I don't notice any less traction with the Angel GT's. I think its a great tire for the money and would recommend it to anyone. I've ridden several thousand miles carving canyons across 6 states and also logged a few thousand on freeway too so I can attest to the grip both wet and dry and tread life of these tires on my bike. Amazing dry traction Have about 3000 miles on my concours 14 with these tires on it. I replaced my original bridgestone batalax, i can ride faster and turn harder with a passenger than i could with my old tires with just me on it. my bike feels like it lost 200 lbs i have 1/8 inch chicken strips on these on my concourse. if you are trying to set speed records these are the tires for you, BUT these are not good in the rain and quite bad under 36 degrees dry or not. Great So Far Tires have excellent dry grip. They actually feel more stable when leaned over even to the edges. Have about 800 mi. on the tire with a 50/50 mix of slab and twisties, and there are no noticeable signs of wear. Will give another update at 3000 mi. I have not ridden these in the wet yet, and although I hear they are great, I'm not planning it. April 2, 2014
great tire for the budget tour rider. I seleted this tire to replace the facory Bridgestone BT 16 tires that lasted only 8k rear and 10k front. I expect the rear should last 10 to 12k and the front around 16k miles. Only time on the road will tell. So far, one week and 200 miles in and they still look and feel new. Plenty of grip for a road tire. March 24, 2014
I have only put 600 miles on them but I can tell you these are the best feeling tire. Amazing grip and insurance feeling when you go hot into a corner I had the Bridgestone battlx that tire bald at 5300 miles and no confidence in the corners. With these angels flat out amazing I will never buy another tire again. March 24, 2014
Confidence inspiring With these tires, the bike falls into corners effortlessly and feels smooth as butter. Ride like a dream in all situations. These tires would make a timid rider anxious to drag knee. That's how great they are. February 24, 2014
Great grip I wrote a review about the rear tire i did and feel the same about the front. Check out my rear tire review for better details on my thoughts for this tire. Great tire over all!!! December 10, 2013

Based on my experience with the Pirelli Angel ST several of my Riding Buddies switched to Pirelli Angel GT and all were glad they did. Now it's my turn to ride on Pirelli Angel GT Tires!!!
