Good looking, good performing product
I ride a 2010 CVO Harley Davidson Street Glide, fully loaded with options and long distance riding accessories. I bought this auxiliary lighting product because we have a lot of ungulates on the roads at night and I don't want to bag a deer, moose or elk with my $35,000 motorcycle. I installed the lights on the top of my engine guards in a couple of hours, wiring the lights through the Aux switch on the switch dash. In general, these lights look very good but the wiring from the lights is "garage shop" or "shade tree mechanic" quality. The connections are not weatherproof, necessitating that I do it myself, with a couple of layers of shrink tubing and non-conductive silicone. The wiring to the battery and switch was also just insulated wire, not in a harness, or protective sheath, so I sleeved it in shrink tubing. I recommend that a novice have this light set installed at a motorcycle dealer. Someone with experience (I'm a qualified technician) will have to make some upgrades to the wiring to make it weatherproof but should be able to install it without difficulty. For the price of this product you would think the manufacturer would have a better electrical design and more comprehensive instructions. Once installed, it works GREAT and I have no complaints.
