Nolan N90S Helmet 4.6 5 212 212
Excellent quality and great value The Nolan N90S helmet should cost way more than it does. The quality of this modular helmet is comparable to much more expensive brands such as Shoei. It was designed and made in Italy and they didn't take any shortcuts along the way. I have a small head and bought a size small. It fits slightly tighter than my previous helmet which was a full face. Having the ability to pop up the front end with one hand while wearing gloves is definitely convenient. Now I can easily have a quick drink or conversation. As far as air flow and wind noise are concerned, this helmet is at least equal to or better than my previous one which had the same number of front and rear vents. The retractable tinted visor is also very handy as I no longer have to carry both regular glasses and sunglasses with me on my rides. I was also pleased to find that it did not interfere with my glasses in any way. My one and only suggestion to improve this helmet is to change the chin strap to a normal double-D ring. Although Nolan tried to pad the adjustable plastic strap, it is bulkier and slightly less comfortable than the simple nylon webbing other manufacturers use. Perhaps I'm just unfamiliar with this system, but I find it takes me a bit more effort than my previous helmet to both attach and release the chin strap. Alternatively, Nolan could keep the plastic buckle system but move the chin strap forward more so it is not so close to the neck. This is a great helmet and at this price, it is definitely worth putting on your list if you're in the market for a modular helmet. Nolan, being a relatively small helmet company, doesn't have a huge line of products. The products they do have are comparable to much more expensive ones offered by their competitors. The N90S is no exception. Excellent quality and great value. April 9, 2013
good look, good comfort, good helmet slick looks, decent weight, good air flow, a tad bit noisy, great helmet! May 20, 2013
Nice fit Nice fit and excellent price, this helmet is great for the cost. I only wish the Bluetooth accessories were less expensive than the helmet itself. May 20, 2013
Great helmet for a low price This is a great modular helmet at a good price. Its bluetooth ready which is great. Its a comfortable fit, lightweight, and a quiet helmet. Glad I bought it April 2, 2013
Has great Excellent Helmet! 100% recommendable, I'm buying again and again! May 15, 2013
Great features the sun visor is very helpful Up graded from a Fullmer to the Nolan. Lighter, much less buffet at 70 mph. Took about 2 hrs to break it in then very comfortable. Highly recommend this Helmet May 13, 2013
very good product for the money very comfortable fit and well made product. I tried many other helmets and this was the one fits the best and has the right style. Good thing that Nolan makes more round head shape helmet. It sure is worth the money. May 13, 2013
Exactly what I expected, excellent product Shipping was timely. Contact with revzilla was easy and I received prompt response. Product is of excellent standard. May 6, 2013

Answer:
The Schuberth SRC Systems are made by Cardo Systems. Thus, the only other communication systems that will work with the SRC are those made by Cardo. As of February 2013, the unit that we would recommend would be the Cardo Scala Rider G9. It has very similar functionality to that of the Schuberth SRC systems, and since it includes a sticky mount and clamp you can mount the unit however you see fit.

I am interested in the N90, but have pretty neutral or intermediate oval head shape. The HJC Symax 3 puts pressure on the front of my forehead, as do most HJC models. The Shoei Qwest fits me quite well. Is the N90 as round as the HJC's or is it a little more neutral/oval like the Qwest?

Answer:
We find both helmets to have a very similar, slightly round, fit. For more of an intermediate oval fit, we would recommend looking at the Nolan N104 or Shoei Neotec as they better accommodate more intermediate headshapes.

Answer:
We find the Nolan N90 helmets to weigh in the 3-3/4 to 4 pound range (estimated) depending on the size. webBikeWorld.com is also an excellent resource for helmet specifications and they weighed a size Large N90 at about 1785 grams or 3 lbs. 15 oz.

Answer:
I don't consider the helmet heavy for a flip-up (it is heavier than a lot of full-face, though).
I can weigh on you over the course of a 4+ hour ride.
I doesn't bother me, at all, riding to work and back.
I will consider shell size and weight, the next time I look at helmets, though.

Answer:
These are totally different helmets, so they don't compare as apples to apples. The EXO-500 is a great sport or sport/touring helmet and is even preferred by cruiser riders as well.

The Nolan N90 is a modular helmet with a front flip-face. Modulars are great as a convenience feature for commuters and/or touring, however, then tend to run a bit noisier and heavier than most full-face helmets.

Answer:
I can only speak for the Nolan N90s, which is what I own. If you have a round head like myself, go with the Nolan. It also has great features like the visor that "notches" up for varying degrees of air flow, and the built-in "top gun" shades that I really love. It's also modular which I like a lot. Can't speak to the EXO but the Nolan is fantastically well built (made in Italy).

Answer:
I looked at both helmets. It was a toss up between the N90 and the N103, but chose the N90 for value, even though I really liked the fit of the N103 and the N90 was cheaper for basically the same features. Can't go wrong with either.

Answer:
Hi, I have a Nolan x-lite. It is a very comfortable head bucket. Quiet? Well sort of. (it's all relative). My advice; fwiw, find a local retail to try it on. Nolan makes great modular helmets

Answer:
Other than a few small design changes aesthetically, the only difference is that the N90 comes with a pinlock shield and the N90S does not.

Answer:
The N90 comes with the pin lock anti-fog system and in several more colors than the N90S. Other than that, no difference as far as I know.
