Nolan N90 N-Com Modular Helmet

The new Nolan N90 Helmet has both full face and jet-helmet style capability. The chin bar can be opened or closed with the external shell made from polycarbon. The visor part has a rapid release function, and features solar tinting and anti-scratch material.

The internal lining of the Nolan N90 can be removed and washed, and is made from Clima-Comfort material with antibacterial treatment.

The chin bar has a positive locking system. The Liner has excellent snaps to hold the cheek pads in place. I have had several HJC Helmets and the liner snaps are bad.
. After you take the liner out to install speakers they never stay snapped bad plastic design.

One of the best helmets I ever use, fit like a glove, feels tight, secure, and solid, good vision, excellent quality, not as light as the Airoh Mathisse but not heavy also, it's a shame the n-com is too expensive, more than the helmet!!! worth every dollar

A lot of helmet for the price. I think I also prefer it to the N103 even if price was the same. Very quiet from road noise. I think wind noise is average. If you don´t have the PinLock at low speeds and cold weather, the shield steamed up quickly because there is no big nose deflector. So I think it worth the difference from the N90S (without PinLock).

I was looking for a fall/winter/spring flip-up helmet and after test-wearing several, I decided on the N90. It didn't dominate all criteria, it did, however, statisfied all. Most flip-up helmets didn't. The first being protection. For instance: While the Shoei Multitech was the most comfortable (for me) out of the lot, it didn't do as well in the SHARP safety tests, didn't come with a pinlock system and was double the price. Add the fact that the liner didn't come out and comfort, looks & a Shoei decal was all it had over the N90. The HJC IS-Max was another that fit me well, but the poor venting and overall fit & finish sent me looking for more.
PROs: The N90 is one of the few flip-ups that has an exhaust vent...something I really wanted. Again, it came with the pinlock system in the box...which I consider a neccessity. The locking mechanism works well. The liner is removable. It has a chin-curtain and as far as flip-ups go, I consider it no worse than average for noise.
CONs: I absolutely hate the lack of comfort on the micro-lock chin strap system. I have no issues with the mechanism, itself. Nolan completely failed in the padding department. I removed the thin (and ultimately too short) pad on the male side strap and slid a 8" long by roughly 1" in diameter open-ended tube of glove leather over the strap. It works perfectly and was of little effort. Also, I cannot put the helmet on (or remove it) if the chin bar is not up. I consider this a bit inconvenient, but not as ugly of a wart as I found with the other helmets.
My grading & review is based on comparison with other flip-ups. Nobody can recommend one helmet over the other based on fit, since heads differ. Aside from fit, however, I believe this is the best all around flip-up helmet and a better product than most more expensive helmets.

Helmet appears to be well made with an excellent finish (gloss white). Really like the fact that it gets a high SHARP rating. The two part faceguard release system provides extra security and is very convenient to use. My head measure is 24" (X-Large), and lean toward a round shape. I had tried a couple of X-Large HJC and Scorpion on in a local shop and found them to be a bit too snug. The Nolan XL fits perfectly and is quite comfortable. Overall, I find it to be an excellent modular helmet and an excellent value.

If you're looking for a flip-up helmet, search no further. Unless you are willing to pay 3 times for a Shuberth C3 (I might), nothing in this price range comes near.

Answer: 
These are totally different helmets, so they don't compare as apples to apples. The EXO-500 is a great sport or sport/touring helmet and is even preferred by cruiser riders as well.

The Nolan N90 is a modular helmet with a front flip-face. Modulars are great as a convenience feature for commuters and/or touring, however, then tend to run a bit noisier and heavier than most full-face helmets.

Hi, I have a Nolan x-lite. It is a very comfortable head bucket. Quiet? Well sort of. (it's all relative). My advice; fwiw, find a local retail to try it on. Nolan makes great modular helmets

I have tried on the Agv Miglia and I found it to be the best fitting helmet for my head.
I didn't see a shape detail on your Miglia page.
Also, is this the same chin strap mechanism as the Miglia? Personally, I didn't care for that one.

I have the AGV and the N90. The Miglia is more oval than the N90. Not by much, but if I really pack my head into the N90, I feel pressure I do not feel with the AGV. In normal riding, I don't notice it much if at all. My ovalish head fits deeper into the Miglia without pressure points.

The chinstrap on the N90 is much better than the AGV. Both sides of the N90 strap are rather rigid, and one rachets up on the other. Very clean and easy. I don't like the AGV gizmo either.
If you get the AGV, cut out two shaped-to-fit pieces of high-density foam and glue them inside the helmet at the ears. Otherwise the noise is terrible. Even with the inserted foam I wear earplugs.

This is very close to the Miglia (my last helmet). The padding is slightly thicker it seems (or the old one was just worn lol), so it fits a little more snuggly, but is the same basic size. The chin strap is different, but still just as quick to get on and off.

I wore my new n90, this morning.
I will say that the n90 doesn't feel extraordinarily different than the miglia (definately the same shape range), but I would say that the miglia fits my shape a little bit better.
The forehead feels a little tighter than it did on the miglia and the ear area feels a little more spacious. The sides of the jaw area feel a little tighter, as well.
The miglia just felt like it was contacting more parts of my head, evenly.
There certainly aren't enough differences to warrant a return or different helmet, just another comparison.

I have used an AGV Miglia Medium. I just purchased the Nolan and I have to say I feel little to no difference. The N90 fits me better. Feels more comfortable too.

Answer: 
The N90 comes with the pin lock anti-fog system and in several more colors than the N90S. Other than that, no difference as far as I know.

Other than a few small design changes aesthetically, the only difference is that the N90 comes with a pinlock shield and the N90S does not.
