Nolan N43E Helmet

A brand new offering from Nolan to replace the N42E open face helmet. The N43E features a redesigned face shield which now has an intermediate open position (previous version was either open or closed) and a new locking pivot kit.

Features:

  • VPS (Vision Protection System) - short dark shield mounted on the inside of the helmet drops down independently from the face shield
  • VPS available in amber, light blue and light smoke (as an accessory)
  • Quick-change face shield is optically correct, UV-400 and fitted in an exceptionally large eyeport
  • Ready for the N-Com communication system 
  • Lightweight aerodynamic polycarbonate shell with built-in spoiler for improved stability
  • Fully removable and washable Clima-Comfort liner is anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and wicking 
  • Super-efficient JSW top vent with exhaust grid in the rear spoiler; works in conjunction with the air channels along the crown
  • Microlock (adjustable quick-release) retention system 
  • Velour chin-strap padding 
  • D.O.T. approved 
  • 3.25lbs
  • Includes VPS removal tool

Note:  N43E is a traditional 3/4 Helmet and does not include a chinbar. The N43E Trilogy has a removable chin bar.

Great features! I love the fit and the quick connect/release buckle! Also the fact that it has separate sun and face shield is great! Don't always need the sun protection so having the optional sun shield is an added bonus. It's super easy to flip the sun shield up or down as needed! Love this helmet! June 10, 2013
Comfortable A little hard to put on with glasses but learned to put on, Very comfortable wearing behind a windscreen that is eye level. Easy to flip up shield and lower sun shield. Some wind noise, but no pressure points on head. Really like this helmet. May 28, 2013
Very satisfied with this helmet! I've bought around 10 helmets over the years ranging from Shoei, Arai, HJC and AGVs. For a $200 helmet, this is one of the best helmets I've owned. Pros: *Excellent visibility from the full clear face shield * Light weight * good air flow * quality liners * excellent mechanical chin strap system. I prefer these over the D rings. You can wear your riding gloves and still be able to put on the chip straps. * Excellent value. Cons: * Wind noise can be excessive if your bike doesn't have a full windshield. (ie/ for sportbike riders) * Dark visor could drop a bit lower in front of my face. I ride an R1200RT so the windshield prevents the noise from hitting me and I can listen to the stereo with this helmet on. I would not be wearing this helmet if I'm riding my CBR954. Too much wind noise. Overall, excellent helmet and a great value!!! May 21, 2013
Everthing what Nolan advertised was true. My perfect time for my test. HD 07 Streetglide with 6'' Clock Werks windshield. Had a 450+ mile ride an morning temp was 38 an a high of 60 by noon. Face stayed warm but the helmet could use more ventilation. The fit is a little snug , but with breaking it in with time may help. For the price an style an fit. I usually don't like to wear a helmet. This one i could handle! A buddy of mine referred me to Nolan an glad i went with them! May 20, 2013
N 43 helmet For my wife I purchased for wife. She normally wears a medium but she wanted to try a large and that turned out perfect. She loves the flip down sun glass feature and how light the helmet is. Very good choice for the money. May 8, 2013

Good value for money As a new cruiser rider I wanted a true open face helmet. But very soon I discovered how uncomfortable it is. This helmet is a good compromise. It offers a look of open face helment and full face visor provides good protection from wind and bugs. It is very comfortable too. Internal sunshade is very handy. The air flow is average, but better than nothing. One cannot get better for this price. December 17, 2012
All That I Wanted Bought one of the modular helmets and it did not fit, way too tight, called customer service and he steered me toward a slightly oval helmet, who knew? not me! Any way got the helmet within 3 days and I must say it's great...the only draw back is that it's a little noisier than I expected. The fit and comfort of this helmet are outstanding. Would definitely recommend this product. October 22, 2012

Answer: 
The standard Nolan N43E does not come with a detachable peak like the Trilogy. Besides the added accessories that come with the Trilogy though, the two helmets are one and the same.

Answer: 
The Nolan N43E Helmet will only be compatible with the Nolan N-Com system, and other communication systems like the Sena SMH-10 or the Cardo Scala Rider G9 that clamps on the side of the helmet.

We do not carry the Chatterbox x1 Slim Bluetooth, so for that reason we are not able to confirm if it will work with the Nolan N43E. However, if the Nolan N43E offers enough room, if should theoretically be compatible with the Chatterbox x1 Slim.

I am going to purchase a Nolan N43E helmet but worried about size. My measurement is 23 7/8 in. and normaly wear a XL but i have had times when I had to get a 2XL. Do Nolans run a little small or are they pretty much right on?

The Nolan helmets sizing is very accurate, so you can order your helmet in the same dimension you usually wear. This helmet in particular tends to fit rather round.

I got the 2XL head size of 24.5 and it fits well (not tight) I think the XL might be the right size for you....

We found the N43E's run true to size. Revzilla has a system for measuring if you are unsure or you can call them... excellent tech help on the phone.

They run a little small. Maybe has to do with my particular head shape (not round at all)
The Nolan size chart says i`m a XL, i bought a XXL and it fits tightly
