NikWax Glove Proof
I bought this to use on my old gloves that stopped being waterproof after some year of commuting. This made them waterproof again, and actually even better because it stopped my gloves from becoming soggy after riding on the rain.
I also applied this on my brand new gloves I got and it also worked on that since water will slide.

Brings leather back to life
I used this on two different sets of gauntlet style gloves, one perforated warm weather and the other insulated cold weather. I was skeptical of the effectiveness but after application it really softened up the leather and brought back the flexibility of my Astars perforated gloves. I aslo used them On my RevIt H2o gloves and although they were not in as bad of shape as my Astars it performed the same. I did test it's ability to repel water by running water over the gloves in the sink and the water beaded off without allowing the leather to soak in. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is bc I haven't had the opportunity to test it's ability to repel water in a rainy or foggy environment. Will have to update at a later time. If you have gloves that the leather has hardened bc they may have gotten wet or even from sweat, this is a great product. My gloves are nice and flexible and the leather is supple and soft. Great product.

Great for Any Leather Glove
My hands used to wrinkle all up from being wet for too long when it rained. It gets pretty sore after a while. Especially on long trips. I used this NikWax on my leather gloves and now my hands don't get wet at all. No more wrinkling. It's a lot more comfortable holding the handlebar grips now. You can also get 3M water repellent which works great for pants, jackets, and backpacks/touring packs.

I've never used NikWax before. After reading the reviews, I thought I would order a bottle with a new pair of winter gloves. I applied it to the new gloves which are fabric and leather (Alpinestars Drystars) and my regular leather gloves (Joe Rocket Sonics). I had my hands in the gloves when applying the NikWax to stretch them out. Shortly after applying the NikWak, my hands felt like they were a combination of dry and burning. The next three or four times I wore the Drystars, I got the same sensation. The back of my hands turn red and look like the skin has been dried out by extreme cold temperatures. I rode yesterday for the first time without having that problem. Another issue is that the applicator on the bottle is poorly designed and doesn't let you control the flow of the product very well. I haven't been in the rain yet (just wet fog), so I can't comment about its function. It could do a fantastic job of rain-proofing and I still wouldn't use it again or recommend it to anyone. I thought I was going to have to throw away both pairs of gloves.

NikWax Glove Proof
Nothing amazing about this product. Smells weird and is not absorbed easily by fabrics.
Hasn't been tested in serious rain yet.

I got this to apply to my Gerbing G3 gloves. Application was very easy and took very little time. Just dab it on and wipe off excess. Let it dry and your good to go. It worked as expected when I got stuck in a rain storm. A must if you have an item that needs to be protected from water.

Does not work as advertised.
This product did not work on my Gerbing gloves. The leather still soaked during the rain. Save your money for a different solution to waterproofing leather.

Works as Advertised
I bought the Nixwax to waterproof 2 pairs of gloves. First coat was easy to put on but I bet I missed a spot here and there so I applied (or tried) to apply a second coat. No luck, the liquid just ran off.
