Good functional reasonably priced product
My prior chain breaker was that D I D two-piece clamp design. After three uses the fittings bent and it became nonfunctional. This being a one piece design appears to be much more sturdy and Is reasonably priced. I would recommend this product.

This is an amazing piece of engineering. It can do everything u will need for a chain install. Highly recommended!

The tool did the job. First time I used it I ended up tightening down on the rivet too far and ended up cracking the head of the rivet. I used more precaution with the second master link and successfully got it installed. I wish the tool self aligned on the master link just a little bit better but you just have to get used to it. Anyway I will never have a shop charge me for installing a chain again!

Cant go wrong with this
The motionpro worked like a charm. Pressed a 530 plate and riveted the pins, no problem. Comes with an extra push bolt which is awesome. Heavy attachable handle for more leverage. Very competitive price. Would buy again.

It was my first time changing chain on 07 KTM SD 990. Tool was super easy to use. Came with clear instructions backed up by pictures. Breaking was a breeze. Pressing and riveting took some time as there was a bit of doubt involved due to lack of experience. Whole process took some time but came out great. Like i said i do not have much experience with other tools so i cant tell. This one worked great for me and its a keeper in my book.

So easy even a caveman could do it!
It simply is as easy as matching the block up with what you want to do: B for break, R for rivot, and P for press. I had never used a chain breaker before and this little tool made life quite easy. Fit on my 520 and 530 chain with no problems!!!

Easy to use
Broke a 525 chain and installed a 520 chain without any problems. I seems quite strong. I suspect it will last a long time

Once I learned how to use it properly it worked perfectly!

Timothy R: Why pay someone to do it for what this tool costs?May 22, 2014
Jeffrey G: Great tool,lost my previous one!!Apr 27, 2014
Likhi O: Needed to remove old chain and install a new one.Apr 24, 2014
John B: Not only did it look like it would cover all the bases for changing a chain, but the handle is near the bolt side of the tool which makes it easy leverage. Some other tools put the handle in the middle of the bracket which torques the tool when you crank on it. Plus, other Motion Pro tire tools I have, have all exceeded my expectations.Mar 31, 2014
Mark F: Trust motion pro tools so I tried this tool out and worked like a charm. I like how its labeled for each procedure.Dec 2, 2013
A shopper asked:Hi I'm unaware if there is a difference between o ring chains and x ring chains Will this work with a DID x ring chain?Nov 5, 2014
Rick E:There is a difference between x ring and o ring chains, but not one that would keep the tool from working as designed. The tool pushes the pin out of the link and the design of the ring won't hinder the tool. The same applies to pressing and riveting as well.Nov 5, 2014
John B:This will work. The O and X rings have to do with the rubber gasket between each roller and the link. The pins are what you press to break and rivet the chain with this tool, so whether the gasket is and O ring or X ring does not matter.Nov 6, 2014
