Innovative and strong
I have used this on three links so far (break, press, rivet). I am impressed. Follow the directions, think it through first, and everything works out. Remember to tighten the large bolt when riveting - otherwise you'll crack the magnet the holds the rivet crimper - don't ask me how I know ;)
Nice carry case, great design details. Again, Motion Pro handles the job!

Robust little tool
This is a nice little tool that does exactly what it advertises. Nice case, nice instructions, heavyweight materials. If you need a chain breaker/riveter, this is a great one to get.

If you plan on doing your own chain work, sprockets, etc. You need a tool to do it all. Press, rivet, and break.

So easy even a caveman could do it!
It simply is as easy as matching the block up with what you want to do: B for break, R for rivot, and P for press. I had never used a chain breaker before and this little tool made life quite easy. Fit on my 520 and 530 chain with no problems!!!

best break and rivet tool for the price.
I bought this tool to break my stock chain(525) and to rivet on a new RK chain(525). it comes in a nice case, its really compact and you can break, press, and rivet very easily with it. I didn't have a problem with any pins or anything. i kept reading about people breaking pins but i believe that's on the user and not the product(it comes with spare too). i broke the old rivet like nothing and it pushed out with a good twist, the pin is still straight and i didn't even grind the rivet first. just make sure its lined up right! the press tool lines up well and is very visible as well as the riveting part. honestly for my first time doing this i felt like i did something wrong because of how easy it was! i've gotten the bike up to speed and put miles on it with no problems. i completely recommend this tool!

Great tool
It was my first time changing chain on 07 KTM SD 990. Tool was super easy to use. Came with clear instructions backed up by pictures. Breaking was a breeze. Pressing and riveting took some time as there was a bit of doubt involved due to lack of experience. Whole process took some time but came out great. Like i said i do not have much experience with other tools so i cant tell. This one worked great for me and its a keeper in my book.

worked as described and easily changed out my chain. I would recommend buying two master links when doing this if you are new so when you mess up on the first one by chance you have a second one to get it right.

I shortened my chain due to changing rear sprockets, and the tool I have won't rivit a solid-end link. This one will, and Motion Pro tools are made well.
Glenn H on Sep 18, 2014
I was too lazy to go back out to the barn to see if my rivets were hollow or soft/solid, so I got a tool that will do both.

Likhi O on Apr 24, 2014
Not only did it look like it would cover all the bases for changing a chain, but the handle is near the bolt side of the tool which makes it easy leverage. Some other tools put the handle in the middle of the bracket which torques the tool when you crank on it. Plus, other Motion Pro tire tools I have, have all exceeded my expectations.
John B on Mar 31, 2014
Trust motion pro tools so I tried this tool out and worked like a charm. I like how its labeled for each procedure.

Hi
I'm unaware if there is a difference between o ring chains and x ring chains
Will this work with a DID x ring chain?
A shopper on Nov 5, 2014
BEST ANSWER: There is a difference between x ring and o ring chains, but not one that would keep the tool from working as designed. The tool pushes the pin out of the link and the design of the ring won't hinder the tool. The same applies to pressing and riveting as well.
