So Far, So Good I bought this tire for my 2012 HD Ultra to replace its Dunlop OEM.front tire. I got 21.5K from the Dunlop, and am hoping to at least get that much from the ME888. Haven't riden in the rain, so can't comment on grip Only have 1500 mi on tire so far, so can't comment on tread life. I installed the tire myself, using the Harbor Freight tire changer and balanced it using Ride-On balancer/sealer. The Ride-On works well, and the tire meets expectations in smoothness, and road grip. Now, how many miles will it last? We'll see.... April 21, 2014
Can't say enough good things Bought these for my 2012 Road King Standard. I can't believe how tires can make such a difference in ride and handling. Amazing. So much better than the stock dunlops. Have only about 300 miles, so can't comment on tread life. But I don't care. the ride is soooooo much better than my old tires, overall mileage doesn't matter. And the handling is as improved as the ride. Couldn't do more to recommend them. March 25, 2014
Great looking tire I have only a few thousand miles on this tire. No issues, has performed very well. Good tread wear, even wear markings, and has held pressures consistanty over temp change. Will buy another. January 6, 2014
Best F**KING TIRE I was riding all night with my old lady on the back. Were bar hopping. At 2am jumped on the freeway , something didnt feel right. But we kept going. I kept wondering why the handling felt wrong. I dropped my old lady off at her sisters and had a hour left to ride home. Stopped at gas station. The tire had zero air in it. But it held us both up and got her home with NO air. Couldnt even tell it was flat by looking at it. The walls are so thick its a run flat tire. We must have hit a nail in Hollywood and the tire held up. Didnt kill us at over 70MPH on the freeway. Amazing tire. Trust your life on it and always check your air pressure! November 24, 2013
EXCELLENT Haven't had these long enough to rate tread life and I don't ride in the rain. These were an excellent choice of a highly rated bike tire. I spoke with some friends who had the 880's and 888's. Everyone said that the triple 8 performance was exceptional and I believe it. There is no comparison of the H-D Dunlop tires and the ME888. VERY noticeable difference in handling and ride. Most of you know that H-D wants over $500 for tires and these were shipped for $277! I am VERY satisfied!! September 23, 2013
It's a Metzeler, what more would you expect! Noticed instantly the improvements Metzeler has made. Much more smooth ride. Deeper treads increase rain handling. Haven't had them long enough to rate the tread but I will say this, I put just short of 15,000 miles on my last set of Metzeler 880 Marathons, I have no doubts I will see the same with these. September 2, 2013
felt like I had a new seat too! Can't comment on tread life as of yet because the tires are relatively new. Only have a little over a thousand miles on them. What I can say is so far making for a comfortable ride. August 9, 2013
Bullet Proof This tire after reading other peoples reviews seemed to be just what I needed. It came in a box with cardboard spacers to keep the tire expanded. Makes mounting lots easier. It just looks Bullet proof. A great looking tire, required no balance weights. Shipping was fast it came from Las Vegas The ride is Superior to the Avon I replaced. I only have 1000 miles on it but looks like it should wear like Iron. And it was designed for my Electra Glide Have not rode in the rain yet but I have no doubt it will be steady as a rock I highly recommend this tire to anyone with a heavy bike who`s tired of a squishy ride. Pete M: I think they are a great handling tire so far. After 1000 miles I still do not notice any wear. I have a 2013 Harley electric glide ultra limited. This is a heavy bike and having a tire that is dependable is important to me. I ride 15000 miles a year and long life out of a tire is the next priority ofthe tire I choose. The 888's have so far met every chalange I have thought of. I hope this helps you make a dedecision. Feb 21, 2014

Tom M: Short answer is yes. It is always best to run matching tires front and back because of balance and ride handling. I'm running the 888 on the back tire and a Dunlap on the front, not by choice, but because of a road trip tire replacement. There isn't much difference between the 880 and the 888 that affects handling. Great tire! Feb 22, 2014

Matt S: According to Revzilla's video breakdown on the M888 tires, you can run the 880 with an 888 tire. I have 888's front and rear and love them. They grab really well and with the softer compound on the edges, they hold in the turns like butter.
Highly recommend them!!

walter l: The 888 is 10 times the tire of the 880. i will run nothing else on my Harley!!!!!
and yes i run them front and rear and my tracking problem disappeared.as the tread patterns are completely different i would not recommend combining them....Walt

A shopper asked: Hi...I currently have a 140/80H-17 tire on the front of my 2001 Honda Aero 1100...the ME 888 listing shows a 130/80B-17 as available...I understand the width is 10mm less than original....I'm thinking it will fit but just be about a 1/4 inch less in width.....just need confirmation that it will fit w/o problem and perhaps be a better steering tire than the wider original..?

Jerry S: Yes I have the ME888 tires on my Kawasaki and they are great. My opinion is this the tire is all it says it is however there is no competing with rubber on the road. I would always buy the better tire ME 888 but more rubber is better ie: surface to grab the road. I would prefer Metzeler make the proper width for the application with the better tire. Feb 19, 2014
