Easy installation.... I own a 2005...R1200 GS... Installation and fit was excellent.. I recommend this product. September 1, 2014
F800GS Great product. Quality and easy to install. Would recommend. September 15, 2014
Why pay more? Clearly a knock off of a much more expensive rear fender but who cares? You really can't see it and it does the job perfectly A little difficulty getting the two screws in but the tie wraps totally secure the fender in place with zero movement. I'd say this product is totally worth it. Like I said absolutely no reason to pay more. July 28, 2014
BMW GSA rear fender Easy to install and provides solid coverage for the shock and battery box. I will be taking it off road this weekend to test if it provides the coverage it shows, but I have no doubt it will work better than without June 2, 2014
A product that BMW probably should have installed to begin with. With every sand pit, water crossing, and muddy trail I've conquered, I've also welcomed all of those elements up into my battery and fuse-block area beneath my seat. The Maier fender was installed on my 1200gs in about 5 minutes, and it's provided an excellent barrier of protection - and looks pretty sharp as well. April 28, 2014
Nice fit - right price This product works well and is quite a bit less expensive than the competition. The fit was great and it appears to be good quality. May 8, 2014
PERFECT Bought this to protect my rear shock. It does just that! Perfect fit and easy installation. I've bought products from other sites but NO ONE beats REVZILLA so for now on I'll be sticking with Revzilla.com! Super easy site to use and fast shipping! Thanks!!! February 19, 2014
Fits well, Functions as advertised. After installing new Ohlins on my R1200GS I needed something to protect the rear shock from all the junk thrown off the rear tire. This product fit the bill perfectly! It was very reasonably priced, fit flawlessly and provides MUCH more coverage and protection than the small cover that was on the OEM shock. Money well-spent IMHO! January 3, 2014

A shopper asked: I just put new Ohlins on my R12GS and have looked at the Machine Art Moto Mudsling for $149.00 and this similar Maier product for $53.00. The Moto Mudsling looks to be a bit larger and have better coverage but, my question is; what is the difference between the two aside from the huge price difference......is the Moto Mudsling 3 times as good as the Maier product?

Ken M M: Hey Fred, Myself and two of my friends all have the maier product and have found them to be excellent. I looked at the moto product and honestly could not find a solid reason to pay way more for it. We installed them on 2 different gs machines. The 700 and, two 800's and it was easy to install and the coverage was perfect. Next to my skid plate it has been the best aftermarket part that I put on. My motor and shock remain pretty dirt free and we do a lot of off road riding. For a part that goes unnoticed its one of the first things I would put on any gs. I'm sure the mudslinger will do the same job as the maier but there is no way it will do three times the job. To be honest I would say performance wise you would find zero difference between the two. Hope this makes your decision a little easier

Cheers, Kenny.

vince v: I asked same question about the one for the f700 but ordered anyway. when it came it was just a piece of plastic, until I fitted it and used it. Maier fit perfect, was cheaper, and works excellent. I would buy theirs again in a second. I can only say it works perfect for me, does the job, and goes on easy. Nov 25, 2013

Matthew J: No the mudsling would not be 3x better. Just installed the maier last night. Bit tricky to do the final adjustments but overall fits excellent and looks great. Save your money for fuel. The maier is as advertised. Nov 25, 2013
