Leo Vince Underbody EVO II Exhaust System Yamaha FZ6R

The LeoVince Underbody Exhaust System was developed exclusively for motorcycles that feature low center of gravity under-engine exhaust systems. Most factory underbody exhausts incorporate both the catalytic convertor and muffler into one unit. The downside of this design is that it causes the stock exhaust to be very heavy and restrictive. However, this also makes it extremely easy to drop massive amounts of weight and dramatically increase exhaust flow by replacing the stock muffler with a LeoVince Underbody Exhaust System. Optimized weight distribution, excellent performance and true aesthetic appeal defines this exhaust as a piece that boasts both form and function.

Features:

  • CAD/CAM design for precise fit
  • Titanium-look sandblasted finish stainless steel muffler sleeve
  • AISI 304 stainless steel internals and header construction
  • Carbon Fiber end-cap
  • Substantial weight savings over the stock exhaust
  • Increased horsepower across the entire RPM range
  • Deep and aggressive exhaust tone
  • Tuned to work with stock fuel settings

Note: Leo Vince Exhaust no longer features the "Leo Vince SBK" logo, please reference image #1 for the current exhaust logo

Thoroughly upset -- Poor quality control This exhaust should have been easy-peasy to put together -- mine wasn't (hint hint, it's defective). Clue #1 was that the O2 sensor plug wouldn't ratchet in; It gets a few millimeters threaded just fine, but immediately gets stuck when it reaches the heat marks from the welding. Odds are the threads became warped from the high temperatures during manufacturing. About 20 minutes was spent just trying to get the bolt back out and, no, nothing was cross-threaded. Either way, I have no way to plug this gaping hole. Clue #2, one of the header pipes would not fit snugly into the engine / gasket area, whereas the others were a very tight fit and would not slip out whatsoever. Clue #3, for s***s and giggles I tried assembling the rest of it and found that one of the pipes must be off on either length or shape, because trying to assemble the exhaust OFF the bike you can't even get the headers to line up evenly! The pieces won't go together no matter which way we twisted whichever pipe, mid-pipe, anything (And yes, we were following the instructions to a "T" before attempting anything else). To put this better into persepective, I had my brother (who has been working as a mechanic for 10+ years) assisting me the entire time and even he says that this unit is a piece of junk. We have tried LITERALLY at least 6 different ways to assemble it, have tried so many different tricks to get things to work, and have put over 12 hours into this thing which should have been only a 1 hour project and there is NO way it is ever going to fit on the bike. (And yes, for the record, I've ordered the proper one). This piece is plagued with either (or both) fitment issues and clearance issues. I cannot recommend this product at all as the situation currently stands. August 6, 2016
this exhaust system looks awesome installed and sound deep. Installation was easier then I imagined with connecting the manifolds together with springs. Instructions are easy to follow and Piece everything together. I took the dB - killer out with a vice grip after removing one screw before installing and when I started up the bike it was like I was standing next to a 08 Mitsubishi Evo. The sound quality is deep and constant until you roll off the throttle then it crackles, sounding like it's spooling down. This exhaust can be heard from a few blocks away and it gets people's attention if their listening. April 6, 2015
