This tricky little self-modulating bulb warns drivers behind you when you are decelerating. When the brakes are applied, the bulb pulses rapidly at first, then remains brightly illuminated as long as the brakes are engaged. Being a super-bright halogen style bulb, there is no load equalizer required.
