Love my new riding gear!
These pants fit well. We rode in temps varying from 60 on the ocean to 105 inland. The vents worked well at the upper temps. I hiked all over the shore line in them and they were very confortable. The only thing I would like to see added would be pockets like the men's pants. I had a small get off where I broke my hand. You can't see any marks on my pants or jacket. They did there job well and I felt very safe in it.

The protection used in the knee area is too stiff.
The protection Armour that is used in the knee's is way too stiff and rubbed my knees raw. I removed them on the second day of the ride. They should be more form fitting and hinge slightly.

Bulletproof
Just returned from 3 weeks on the road in AK and Canada. I bought these pants just prior. They are amazing. Rode in temps ranging from 40 to 80 degrees and never worried about my legs. In the cold I only wore two layers - a summer Dainese wicking base long underwear and a Danskin wicking tracksuit pant. In the heat, just the vents open with the wicking underwear was fine. I just threw them in the wash this weekend and they cleaned up great. Look brand new. I wear a 6-8 fashion pant, 37" hips and chose a Klim size 8. Was perfect for layering and tucking in shirts too. Not 5 stars because no pockets for keys, debit card or cash.

Keep you dry but just okay
From my wife: They do keep you dry, but there are no pockets, the knee pads always catch on my knees when I am pulling them up and I also have to adjust them when I get on the bike (maybe because I am only 5' 1"?)
The airflow could be better. The leg bottom doesn't have to be so wide, it catches on things. And NO pockets. I would like to see a patch pocket so when I get off the bike I can slip my phone in and go!

Now I re click the women's size chart from a different angle and it shows numeric sizes. What gives????
Jerry S on Apr 26, 2016
The KLIM sizing chart lists women sizes from XS to XXL but when choosing the size they are numeric. What is the deal?
Jerry S on Apr 26, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Use the size chart on the closeout listing. It is more accurate and matches Klim's website: http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/klim-womens-altitude-pants-2014#size_chart_tab
So the Klim website fitment metric has me in a size 8. It fits perfectly. I can even wear my winter base layer underneath. However I worry maybe I need a 10 for the three weeks of riding I will do very soon from Seattle to Prudhoe Bay and back BUT I don't want that to be a sack. What to do, what to do????
Hilray on May 24, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Stay with the 8... My wife went right with the measurement guidelines as did I... We traveled 7,521 miles last year covering the middle and southern US in May (rain, sleet, snow, freezing rain, torrential rain, 34 to 90+ temps) and we were fine with layers and no electronic warming clothing... I do have heated seats... We have full face helmets which helped significantly... The Klim gear is outstanding and the reflective striping is also excellent... Stick with what fits and use good base layers... BTW we did the trip in 16 days, averaging a little over 500 miles per day... If the Klim gear was not going to work we would have experienced it on this trip...
Is the zipper of these pants compatible with the 2014 Altitude jacket?

BEST ANSWER: Yes
