Klim Inversion Jacket 4.8 5 9 9
Good Mid Layer Jacket I bought this jacket to wear as a mid layer under a leather jacket for the cooler months. The fit was slightly large but I am happy with that. Comfort and function are good, though I have not yet removed the sleeves. I have used the jacket for a hour commute on mornings down to about 5 degrees C and been quite comfortable. I marked the air flow as low as the jacket is windproof. Though expensive I am happy with the jacket and would be happy to recommend it. May 13, 2013
Great everyday jacket! I needed a new everyday jacket at the same time that I needed a new motorcycle jacket. This is the perfect fit for use as a mid layer under the Badlands Pro jacket. I can wear the Inversion as an everyday jacket and then add it as a valuable layer while riding and when stopped, the Inversion functions as my casual jacket for bumming around. I could do without the zip off sleeves, but it poses no problem. Love the pockets. The material is first-rate and definitely wind-proof. The velcro closures on the cuffs work well and the collar is comfortable. It replaced my old North Face soft shell. Love it! Sizing ran a tad bit large for me, YMMV. May 6, 2013
Great Soft Shell! Been looking for a replacement for my North Face Apex softshell, after a couple purchases I found it with Klim. Great cuffs with inner draft stoppers, zipper vent in the rear, slightly longer back covers you in the seated position (unlike other softshells I've tried). I doubt I'll be using the removable sleeves, but a nifty option. D-ring loop on the side to latch gloves to, along with large YKK zipper. 5'-9" 180# large fits nicely with a couple shirts or thin sweatshirt underneath without restricting movement. Not as 'fitted' as the North Face softshells (pretty close), but not bulky at all. I've got a couple drops of concrete on the sleeves along with dirt and everything brushes off the material! Water beads off easily. Always great quality with Klim, never disappointed! April 2, 2013
Uber Versatile I loveeee this jacket. Just like the ad says: a Little nippy in the morning to a semi warm day is when this jacket really shines! Super windproof, and sheds snow pretty good, as well(I used it for snowboarding 3 days). March 4, 2013
Great Everyday Jacket out and about or on the Bike! I love the styling of this jacket, its not baggy fitting like my other jackets. Its tapered to fit you the right way. You can see the water resistance with beads of water when it rains! Also, I found that it is very insulating while not leaving you sweaty. Excellent product! December 17, 2012
A little pricey, but well made and versitile Bought this jacket as a mid layer over my compression suit, so I went with one size larger than normal. It does a good job at blocking wind, even at highway speeds, and the removable arms add to the flexibility of the jacket. Styling and pocket number/location is nice, and although the jacket is pricey for a mid layer, it appears that the quality is there. May 8, 2012
Durable jacket Great jacket, fits great ,collar is a little stiff but that should soften in time. It's a nice that the arms zip off but I don't see myself using that feature April 2, 2012
Very well made. Perfect for duel role Great jacket. A little bit stiffer than regular fleece due to being windproof but makes a better standalone jacket than the Inferno and can still be used as mid layer. I'm 5'8" 170lbs and wear the medium which fits fine under a large Traverse jacket. If I were to only have this jacket by itself I would consider the large for a little more movement room. How does this compare to the Rev'it Digital and Ranger in terms of weight/warmth and especially fit. The Rev'it stuff looks to be more tapered.

Answer:
The REV'IT! options are definitely more tapered, while Klim has a more generous cut. The Ranger competes well with the Inversion jacket as it has both the Gore-Windstopper and Thermal layer aspects to its construction.
