Moisture wicking and thermal properties allow the Inferno Pant to function equally well as a base-layer or a mid-layer fleece. Highly breathable fabric enables the pant to assist Gore-Tex shells in transmitting moisture away from the body. Durable flat lock stitching and an abrasion resistant finish combine to create a thermal pant with dependable performance.
I purchased the Inferno jacket and Inferno pants as liners for the Badlands jacket and pants. I'm 5'11" 220lbs and wear 38inch waist jeans. I ordered the XL jacket and, based on a review, the XXL pants. The XL jacket fit perfectly and looks great. I’ve been wearing it everyday for the last 2 weeks. My wife asked me to take it off for a day and she’d wash it. It’s more jacket than liner and you are going to be glad you bought one. I purchase the XXL pants because some dude in another review told me too. That dude forgot to mention that the pants are huge and you are going to look like a 12 year old wearing your fathers sweats. But still, he had a point. You could wear them over your jeans. You could probably wear them over 4 pairs of jeans, each pair increasing in size slightly until finally you pull your giant XXL Inferno pants over them. At 5’11’, the legs were long enough to curve around my ankle and cover my feet. I thought about sewing the legs shut and turning these bad boys into footsie pajamas. Instead, I ordered the size I actually wear which is an XL. These actually fit slightly snug but were still comfortable. The fit nicely within the riding pants without bunching up with massive amounts of excess material that make it look like you had an accident in your shorts. The only problem is that they have huge WWF size plastic buckles on each side so, theoretically, you could adjust the size. These large buckles dug into my blubber and cause serious discomfort. I sat at work in these pants and started to get mad for no reason until I realized it was these cod plucking buckles creating bed sores on my waist. Since I was maxing them out already, the adjustments were irrelevant, so I just cut them off with a sharp pair of scissors and PROBLEM SOLVED, PANTS GOOD. If you wear the pants and the jacket together to town, you will feel special and look good. My wife says it’s some borderline Guido sweat suit look but I told her to forgetaboutit.

Great base to mid layer. Extend your pants riding season.
I purchased these to be used as a thermal mid layer between street clothes and a motorcycle riding outer layer.
These run slightly tight so I would recommend going two sizes up if you intend to wear them over another pair of pants. I have a 38 in waist and am wearing an XXL in these to fit over my jeans. The material in the pant stretches so this size fits me well as a base layer also.
The material is a high tech fabric that is thin enough to not bulk, but insulating and breathable enough to make a big difference.

Great light mid layer
These pants are well made and fill the role very well. I'm 5'8" 170 lbs and wear a 32 jean but got these in 34 and they feel just right over thermo underwear. Very soft but smooth fablic should hold up well under outer layer. They fit fine under size 34 Traverse pants.
