Now featuring two zippered hand pockets and an even more refined fit, the ever-popular Klim Inferno Jacket mid-layer and casual jacket is more functional than ever. Still the most popular insulating mid-layer in the KLIM lineup, the Inferno continues to be the go-to piece for every ride. Control heat loss and enhance the breathability of your outwear with a technical insulating mid-layer like the Inferno, and you’ll ride happier, longer.
Low bulk cuffs for better mid-layer fit and comfort
Less-stiff collar for improved comfort
Polyester fleece/Spandex/thermal guard moisture-wicking fabric construction
The Latitude jacket doesn't come with a liner, so I needed something to bridge the gap between warm enough with no liner, and cold enough to need the electric liner.
The Inferno is a mid-layer, not really outerwear. A Large fits my 6'2", 205 pound body perfectly....That is, snugly over a base layer. The shell doesn't really seem durable enough to wear without something over it, and it's certainly not making any effort to be stylish. That's fine with me.
For a relatively thin layer, it does a good job of blocking the wind and keeping you warm. No issues with cold running at highway speeds in the upper-50s with a t-shirt under and the Latitude Misano over.

Great mid- layer.
This is my second inferno jacket. Durability stands out as does mid layer warmth. I wear this jacket all fall, winter and spring.

Paired with the Inferno pants these turn cold days Miami. No binding, total comfort, and great breathability when paired with an appropriate base layer and Goretex outer. Materials, workmanship, and overall quality are all excellent. It's also a great destination jacket.
Haven't experienced ANY pilling as was mentioned in the previous review. Makes me wonder if it's being worn against something it's not suited to. In my experience, KLIM infallibly produces their mid layers to glide freely over their base layers and also under their Goretex outers.

I bought a black Inferno jacket back in December 2013 and am not happy with the way fabic is "pilling" in the front and sleves of the jacket. Jacket for me, is a light use garment,, weekends only. I have written to Klim twice about the issue and have not recieved a reply. Not a fan.

How ironic is it that I lost all my riding gear last summer to a forest fire and one of the first pieces I replace is called Inferno. I had several Klim jackets, purchased and received through donations to the Riff Raff. I keep coming back because it is a great product.

Douglas C:No, mine does not have a waist cinch string around the waist. I purchased my Inferno Jacket to wear as a mid-layer under my Klim Latitude Masano outer jacket so sealing at the waist was not a concern for me.
If you are looking for a light to mid-weight jacket to wear on the bike as an outer shell then I would suggest looking at something from North Face that has Sleeve Cuff closures and Waist Cinch strings.Sep 18, 2014
