Hopfully not your only shoe
As much as I would like to recommend this product I cannot.
Yes it is a quality shoe with some great track inspired features. Yes it is comfortable, for a track inspired shoe. Yes the low cut makes it a shoe you could wear all day if needed.
I can't recommend this shoe because I'm afraid it would keep someone from getting a real track boot.
It’s really a philosophy of function: If you need replaceable toe sliders on your shoe, then you really need a real track shoe! I have track boots and got these as a run around town shoes and wish I would have gone with some of the other options out there for street shoes/bike.
These are comfortable, but don’t take that as a shoe you would want to walk in all day nor would I really want to even wear them all day. My feet are very happy when they come off (I’m a flip-flop guy). The track inspired features have a cool factor I guess, but I grow sick of having to explain to people why I have such ridiculous shoes on. If you like having people stare at your feet when you are in a conversation then these are the shoes for you. Subtle they are not!
I like the low cut but they need better ankle support and this could be accomplished without going higher.
My recommendation: spare no expense and buy a pair of racing boots for the track days/aggressive canyon days and go with one of the other options out there for running around town/commuting shoes. There are some better options that would fit in better at the workplace and after hour places.
I wear a size 8 street/casual shoe and ordered size 8 in these. If they had size 7.5 it would have been a better fit, but size 8 is working out fine with insoles.

Possibly more comfortable than my daily sneakers.
Seriously, these things are just as comfortable (if not more) than any of the shoes that I wear on a daily basis. I put them on the day after I got them from Revzilla thinking they may need a little break in period, but found they didn't. They were good to go right out of the box. In fact, I ended up forgetting I was wearing them and went about my business... only to notice halfway through the day that I was still wearing them. Did I take them off? Nope... just kept on wearing them. They're THAT comfy.

They also look like they're built like a tank, so I'm sure they'll last several years before I need to replace them. I may just buy another pair so I can swap back and forth extending the life.

Great overall riding shoe!
Very nice pair of riding shoes that does the job on a sport bike. Joe Rocket once again makes another great product, looking forward to what the next version looks like once these deteriorate!

Pros
-Bottom soles have great grip that won't slip when you're on your pegs even on hard leans. As well as waiting at stop lights, feet can be planted firmly on the ground and don't have to worry as much about slippage on slick pavement.
-Great weather resistance, the leather has great protection from rocks, cold wind, scrapes and bumps
-Great looking shoes as well (I've had compliments while waiting at a stop light before)
-Comfortable shoe to wear off the bike and not stressful on your feet when walking around.

Cons
-Shoelaces are just a little too long that I have to tuck in underneath the cover strap but is bearable.
-A little more velcro could have been added on both sides of the shoe to make the front cover strap tighter for a more tight fit. Even though, current strap design provides good security.
-It would be nice to have the back/heel vented portion of the shoe coated in some kind of rubberized texture instead of straight plastic so it won't scratch the paint off the swingarm or other pieces on the bike that the feet may come in contact with on the bike.

Pure Comfort
Well I decided to move to these for the summertime as my Icon Superduy4 boots are a little too heavy and bulky. These Joe Rocket's feel like you are wearing a sneaker but have the strength and protection that you would want out of a riding shoe. I wear a 10.5 and purchased the 10. They do run a little big and wide. The size 10 fit perfect and i was surprised on how much room you have. I really look forward to testing these out this weekend here in PA with some change of nice weather. Anyway they fit great, feel great, look great, and you wont even know you have them on.

Excellent Shoe
This is an excellent riding shoe. It is not a boot and is not designed to protect like one. If you don't want the full boot this is a great alternative as the sole is very stiff and also offers great grip on the pegs. Lacing system is nice as you can really get a good fit but it does add to the time putting them on or taking them off. Shift panel is well made and provides a good balance between stiffness and feel.

They run a full size large.

Very comfortable boots
First of all, I think these shoes look better on your feet than laying on a table. I wear a 12 in every pair of shoes I buy, and these run just a bit large. I don't slide around in them, but there's definitely some extra room at the toe. They do seem to be breaking in around my feet nicely though. They are light weight and they do actually keep your feet cool. I'm very happy with these boots.

Outstanding Shoes, Reasonable Price
I bought these as my first street bike shoes and wore them for my first time riding. They felt very natural and were extremely conducive to a new/learning rider as they didn't feel like a burden, they grip the foot pedals, shift lever and rear brake lever ridiculously well.

I didn't buy them for looks, but my Wife says they look good with jeans. I really appreciate the lace cover as that was my only real outstanding concern with using the standard workboot. The heel protection is great as well.

Overall, I would definitely recommend these to those folks looking for a nice shoe that will fit in a smaller bag (I use the Icon Squad 3 Mil-Spec) and tend to have a wider foot.

The video was a huge help as well... Pretty much guaranteed I will be a customer for a long time to come.

Awesome riding shoe
Very good alternative to a full riding boot. Fit is a little on the smaller side, im a size 10.5-11 sneaker i ordered these in a size 10 and the fit is perfect. They do take a little breaking in noticed when new hard to feel the rear brake "feedback" do to the stiffness of shoe. Cant comment to much on durability yet have only had 2 weeks but from what i can tell so far these should last a long time.

Great shoes! I ordered a smaller size as they run a bit large and it was spot on.
Tough yet comfortable enough to wear all day if you can't swap shoes after riding. Even after strong rain my feet staid dry.

I needed a boot less intense than a full racing boot for commuting. They style was great the lace cover is perfect and the fit of this boot is slightly wide compared to most euro boots. I have had good luck with Rocket items in the past and expect this item to be similar.
Scott F on Jun 17, 2014
Great riding shoes, very comfortable. I have a wide feet and had no problems getting into these. For a shoe the protection is good. Love them would buy them again.
Carlos C on Apr 25, 2014
had these almost a year now and they hold up great, no tears no issues at all. airflow is good for the hot florida days as well. i usually wear a 13 in nike shoes and ordered a 12 in these and they fit perfectly, highly recommend these riding shoes.

I was looking for a short riding boot for the warmer months of good ol NJ. These by far are the best bang for the buck!
leana p on Dec 7, 2013
I was looking for something between a shoe and boot for daily commuting. I like the race/track features like metal replaceable sliders and poly heel cup with micro leather and lace flap, but not a full blown calf high track boot. I love them and wear them daily all day long.

I am a short person. Therefore I am looking for a pair of shoes that make me taller so I can reach the floor when riding. How thick are the outer sole on this V2X shoes?
A shopper on Jan 25, 2014
BEST ANSWER: They have a slight heel but there are a lot of boots out there that have more. I would not call the soles tall. You will probably get the most heel or lift out of a cruiser/workboot style. I also think if you went with another style that has more ankle coverage you could put a gel sole or similar inside the boot to get a bit more height. Maybe look at the smx-2 and some heel inserts if you want a sport fit boot. I have them and like them better than the joe rockets. The joe rockets make me nervous because they feel so low around the ankle. Hope all this helps!
I would like to know what do you think is better TCX x-square sports or Joe rockets Velocity V2X? I would like a shoe/boot for street riding with Jeans. No track just weekend rider (new rider).

Thanks,
Eric
A shopper on Sep 29, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Can tell you the rockets are comfortable little stiff at first but was expected.
Don't know about other brand.
Do these shoes protect the ankles well?
A shopper on Apr 12, 2014
BEST ANSWER: -No. The ankle protection is foam covered with leather, is not the best, but is better than your skin exposed.
I'm disappointed with this shoes, the shifter side starts to release the inseam, so when I walk a small hole appear. And I only use in urban traffic, maybe is a built error in my pairs, but the laces is very boring to use too.
Do they come up over the malleolus bone? Is there any plastic there or just leather and padding?
A shopper on Apr 30, 2013
BEST ANSWER: These boots do not offer any real ankle support or protection. For the most part they come up about as high as a street running sneaker, which leaves the entire malleolus bone or "Fred Flinstone Bone" exposed.
